I think that's a good analogy.
Maturing as a Christian is a daily walk with Christ. It's a continual progression towards a life of full devotion to our Lord. We shouldn't be idle like the child falling out of the bed, but instead keep moving forward.

You enjoy the classic American lifestyle - a white picket fence in the suburbs with your spouse and 2.5 kids. If you don't have that life, it's something you aspire to achieve. Sometimes you get into sticky situations, but you always have a way to get out of it. You're happy with your life, and wouldn't change a thing.

I agree. I, too, have fit into some of the categories above. I am still a work in progress, and have a long way to go, but I know I am 100% loved by my Father and I love Him the same.
