  4. Black jelly beans are the bestest in the world.
  5. Wow, that fact that TX is making it mandatory in young girs is shocking. After one one of my complete physicals, and the tests came back, I was called by my dr informing me that I had HPV and needed to go in for more testing. After the following testing, and talking with the drs, I went home and informed my husband. I did not accuse him of giving it to me, nor did he accuse me of giving it to him. Since we were neither virgins prior to when we had married each other. The only change in my life is that i now have to be tested for cancer every three months as apposed to annually. But in the information that I have read and researched and was informed by my dr: Two virgins that marry will not contract it as long as they remain faithful There is no way to test men for contracting the virus Men can get get cancer from the virus but the risk is very low Women who get the virus might develop cancer from the virus, though studies have shown that some women who have had it for years died without ever devleoping cancer This is a virus that is transmitted through contact There are many strands of HPV and some cause genital warts and some may cause cancer This is just one of the ugly things that are a result of a sinful nature. I have shared with my teenage children the risks as they were explained to me. I have also talked at great length with them over the importance of having a relationship with God. The risk of getting cancer doesnt scare me like the thought of my children leaving the presence of God to be cool with their friends.

  8. Is that at one particualr season or anytime during my natural life?
  9. If the Christian you asked was not willing to take her in, (i understand to be a hypothetical situation) where is his position to say no. There is so much more trouble with the child staying homeless than being brought into a home of two lesbians. Is it wrong for lesbians to have compassion on a child. What is more damaging to a child placed in a godless home with a heterosexual couple with drug and alcohol issues or a home with a homosexual couple? I agree, that if more Christian couples were adoping homeless children then that would be where the homeless child should go. But somewhere Christians have gotten away from caring for their neighbor. I have two teenage children. I also have recently married after 16 years of being divorces. My husband has stated that he will not take in nor adopt any children needing a home His heart is for abandond basset hounds.
  10. I am glad the duck was rescued. I dont like to eat duck
  11. Yomotalkin, i believe prayer is the answer. Even where I live, state government is taking our money, large amounts behind our backs, local government put to vote a property tax cap which was voted in. Local government now says they are 10 million in deficeit because of the cap. They are now considering a special vote to get it reversed. We the people here have told the city (local government) that we will give you more money if and only if we have more say in how its spent. We are tired of the wasteful spending and the use and abuse of their power and our money. The city has cut back on many programs that it used to fund and is still asking for more money. All we are asking back is "money for what?" They have yet to become more clear on what its used for. I can only imagine on the court fees the city has cost the tax payers, as more and more city officials' illegal conduts are being found out being investigated and prosecuted. Sorry to get started there. Yomo, take all your frustrations to God in prayer. He will see you through all of it and then some. I believe God to be faithful to His Word. Remember that everything we have belongs to God.

  14. I know i have read this recently. I find it interesting that they believe thier messaiah will only be here for 7 years, til the end of time. I am so glad that I know Jesus!
  15. No kidding!! Actually I really loved this song. I learned it from the Canadians when I was at church camp.
  16. A vow, I think, is a bit more earnest than a promise. A vow, fundamentally, is a promise, but it carries a more serious connotation A vow is seen have a more sacred nature to it. One makes wedding "vows," not wedding "promises." Or one might make a "vow" of celibacy, not a "promise" of celibacy. i agree with you shiloh, and i this is what i was trying to explain earlier but may have failed to do so
  17. You are too funny sis by the way, i am in the same majority
  18. Well, now I know what to when a person in need of Christ gets on the bus. JK I reach out with the best intentions i can think of, given the situation. Upon reflection of my "best intentions" used, I always see what I could have done better or what i would have done differently. I find usually there was a better intention that could have should have been done. As Christians, this is an area where we need to pray and encourage each other along the way. You ladies and gentlemen are graciously amazing in doing that here
