This basically is what "Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" effectively is right? To receive the Holy Spirit and knowingly refuse to let it change you or accept the guidance it brings. The only unforgivable sin. Reading the title and the OP that is what it seems to be about. The full context you posted seems to be cautioning against such behavior lest you be burned. This, I think, is a very good point and a fair and accurate criticism.

The biggest issue is people think "loving your neighbor" means you accept, affirm, and encourage everything they do. That's absurd and the problem with the entire lgbtq movement. They don't want tolerance and just to get through their day like anyone else, they want celebration of their sin and to take pride in it. You *cannot* be a christian and affirm homosexuality or this trans nonsense. It's exactly because of the spinelessness of the modern day church that we're in the situation we are in now. And you're out of it if you think they aren't pushing their views on children aka corrupting them and putting them on a path to Hell.

Meh the Bible has priority over any earthly expert. I'd be careful putting more faith in scientists than what we're plainly told. Now could it be a simplification? Sure? We'll have all of eternity to unravel the mysteries of God but when I see people adding millions of years to what is plainly done in days in genesis (as an example) I question priorities. I've got a close friend who saved me who is warping his views based off of modern day findings too. Don't make the same mistake. Gotta talk to him about that actually. God is incapable of lying or misleading and I feel if it was a parable it'd have been stated personally. When I was an atheist I was obssessed with a clear hard logical explanation my mind could comprehend that could explain it all. Literally drove me nuts. My lesson was to let go and accept what is written. Made me a lot happier.

Jesus always clarified literal stories from parables. You seem to be putting limits on God that are not biblically there. imo

I mean if mainly depends on what the song glorifies. I am a big rock guy and always liked Creed for having what I refer to as "righteous rock". Rock is a very masculine form of music which is why it appeals to me, but that doesn't have to mean it is all about rage, drugs, and sex as is the stereotype. Depends on the spirit and lyrics of the song largely imo. It's really only the more extreme ends of the specrtrum like metal and heavier stuff with screaming demonic bents that I'd say are incompatible with a believer.

If it gets banned I'll just drop out of the politics section entirely. A member left over me calling a he a he. He was gay guy who keeps putting lgbtq rights in the forefront of everything. I didn't even bring it up. I was just saying that dealing with trans people in passing or at work isn't hard (in response to a negative comment he made about "transphobes" or something to that effect) but if they are directly in your life it's either obey their demands or get shunned by their friends and family which I am not about to do. The he I was referring to was a personal experience I had with a former friend who came out as trans.

I've led to the shutdown twice of our political sub section in our gaming discord. I'm very clear about my opinion on the whole trans movement and what it does and what is or is not sin when religion comes up as is inevitable. I made the grave sin of misgendering not a member of the discord but of a story of a personal former friend who torpedoed all his friendships with his no compromise or attempt to understand approach when he came out as trans. Truth riles people up especially today. The mods are discussing banning the topic entirely or making misgendering officially against the rules.

Trump is not a good man or a good representative for conservative christians as he is pretty obviously not one himself. But due to his appointments Roe V Wade got overturned. That justifies his entire presidency. And the left cannot be sided with by a christian imo, they glorify all sexual perversions, corrupt children, and practice abortion. So the only options as I see it are to vote for him or not, but voting for Biden isn't even a question. Plus the left obviously is hostile to Christians so for preservation of your beliefs alone all you can do is vote for him with your jaw clinched.

Well the issue is modern culture interprets "love" as endless affirmation and praise of all one's desires and behaviors. That's a child's idea of love. If you love someone you guide them to the truth and correct them, gently, if you think they are heading to the wrong path. You don't kick someone you love off the proverbial cliff basically.

I mean for me twisting the genesis account to fit what modern scientists say, btw today now having a very clear bias, is unwise. Bible says it happened in days it happened in days. The scientists have to be mistaken, whether it is a genuine mistake or willfull clouding of the truth is anyone's guess.

God having perfect knowledge is always justified his actions. It might seem odd allow this to happen to the family but clearly this is the case in real life. The whole point is the best of people can be put through the worst things but you should still cling to God through it all. Being a righteous believer is not a guarantee of a happy strifeless life in fact it is the opposite in many cases. God being sovereign means Satan can only do what he is allowed and this story just further proves that.

My whole thing wasn't a tap at all but a dizzying experience lol. I had a mental breakdown (turns out I had underlying mental health problems triggered by vivanse I was prescribed). My friends knew I hadn't been saved and we prayed in a circle to save my soul. Felt a fire enter me at that exact moment. I've been reeling from the implications of it ever since. But they did lead me to salvation. I just need to start acting like it and make serious adjustments. lol I have changed in a lot of ways mind you but still have some serious mountains to climb.

Prosperity gospel is a scam that twists the Bible's words and bankrupts the desperate. It's a gross thing to be sure saddens me to hear it is spreading.

Even if it were the case that any sin can be forgiven automatically past, present, and future, if you find yourself living in sin (not just doing them here or there, but like never making an effort to improve and just accepting all of your worst impulses and attributes) A) Even if forgiven abusing God's gift of grace is probably unwise B)It's a question if you were saved at all because the Holy Spirit should convict you on your constant sinning and lead to change. By your fruits you shall know them as it is said. If God entered your life you shouldn't have 0 changes in how you conduct yourself alone or with others.

I believe it is a real phenemon, and there is indeed a lot that is odd about it, but as a Christian it can't be aliens so it is either A) Secret gov technology major nations are testing out or B)Some sort of demonic trick. Those are my best two guesses.

As has been said as one of the first posts on this topic, you shouldn't be contorting or making up excuses to make the Bible fit with science. God is no fool if He meant a longer period of time He'd have said as much, it is very clear when figurative language is being used in The Bible. The only sensible conclusion in my mind is accepting science got it wrong. I'd rather do that than pervert the word.

I have wondered if Christians are gonna be targeted if climate change is real, because a lot vote republican which has indeed denied the seriousness of the threat. The issue is the left is so happy to lie or exaggerate it makes it impossible to trust them. I fear it is a real thing. But I can't trust or stand behind the leftist ideals and platform either. Frankly it is hard to tell what is real nowadays.

I think as someone here said we are "on our last legs' and judgement is coming. I don't know the exact quote but I remember the Bible said God would send a "great delusion" in the end times. I wonder if that is what is going on with the left especially in the regards to transpeople. Basically we can't stop the end of times, so just help who you can and keep trying to please God. All we can do if our hunch is right.
