  1. Hi Turtletwo, These are wonderful reminders. Thanks for posting them. Jesus is the only way for continual joy and peace whilst we're temporarily on this Earth, and Jesus is the only way to eternal Life! Xxx
  2. Hiya, If you're going through a difficult time at the moment, and it doesn't make sense, I hope this lifts your heart. It reminds us to keep our eyes on Jesus, no matter what our circumstances. And one day, all our temporary troubles will be over, done and dusted, and we will be with Jesus, in eternity, for ever. Amen! A Prayer for Rejoicing A Prayer for Rejoicing By Alistair Begg Crosswalk.com Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! – Philippians 4:4 Can you answer this, believer? Can you find any reason why you are so often mourning instead of rejoicing? Why yield to gloomy anticipations? Who told you that the night would never end in day? Who told you that the sea of circumstances would ebb out till there should be nothing left but long stretches of the mud of horrible poverty? Who told you that the winter of your discontent would proceed from frost to frost, from snow and ice and hail to deeper snow and yet more heavy tempest of despair? Don't you know that day follows night, that flood comes after ebb, that spring and summer succeed winter? Be full of hope! Hope forever! For God does not fail you. Do you not know that God loves you in the midst of all this? Mountains, when in darkness hidden, are as real as in day, and God's love is as true to you now as it was in your brightest moments. No father chastens always. The Lord hates the rod as much as you do; He only cares to use it for that reason that would make you willing to receive it—namely, it brings about your lasting good. You will yet climb Jacob's ladder with the angels and behold Him who sits at the top of it—your covenant God. You will yet, amidst the splendors of eternity, forget the trials of time or only remember them to bless the God who led you through them and works your lasting good by them. Come, sing in the midst of tribulation. Rejoice even while passing through the furnace. Make the wilderness blossom like the rose! Cause the desert to ring with your exulting joys, for these light afflictions will soon be over, and then, forever with the Lord, your bliss shall never wane. Faint not nor fear, His arms are near, He changeth not, and thou art dear; Only believe and you shalt see, That Christ is all in all to thee.
  3. Hi Turtletwo, I'm so sorry to hear of your Mum. I am praying for you that Jesus will comfort you during this very difficult time. I lost my Mum last October. She was also a believer, and just like your Mum, they are now at peace and rest with Jesus and I wouldn't wish my Mum back on Earth due to what her physical state was like, just as you said. Your Mum, like mine, will now be at peace and having a wonderful time in Heaven, with Jesus. All suffering from this life is now at a permanent end for them. I pray that Jesus will fill that gap in your heart that your Mum has left, with Himself. That's what He's doing for me, and I find it such a comfort. Love, Becky. X
  4. Psalm 91 has been really standing out to me. It reminds us that we have peace, joy, safety, love, and security if we choose to dwell in the Shelter of the Lord. Psalm 91 Amplified Bible (AMP) Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord. He who [a]dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!” For He will save you from the trap of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions, And under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall. You will not be afraid of the terror of night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Nor of the destruction (sudden death) that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But danger will not come near you. You will only [be a spectator as you] look on with your eyes And witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as you watch safely from the shelter of the Most High]. Because you have made the Lord, [who is] my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. For He will command His angels in regard to you, To protect and defend and guard you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. They will lift you up in their hands, So that you do not [even] strike your foot against a stone. You will tread upon the lion and cobra; The young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. “Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him; I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never]. “He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. “With a long life I will satisfy him And I will let him see My salvation.”
  5. Hi Elizabeth, Welcome to the group. You'll find great support and friendship here. I'm so sorry to hear you have breast cancer. I am praying for you. My Mum had that, twice, and recovered from it. Praying for you now. X
  6. Hi Emily, I'm praying for your brother, you, and your family. My husband has had a life time of heart problems, so can relate somewhat to how concerning it all is. I pray Jesus will give you all peace and strength, and that your brother comes through will full healing. X
  7. Hi everyone, Thank you so much for your prayers. The great news is his knee is much better today. It started improving yesterday, although the pain then went to the back of his leg. He's still not 100% and didn't feel great this morning, but is feeling a lot brighter now. Although it's an on-going health problem, it's just so nice to see him not in agony with it. Thank you to Jesus for answering this and I pray for continuing healing. It just reminds us once again just how powerful prayer is. Love, Becky. X
  8. Hi Turtletwo, I'm praying that your ear clears up. I'm sorry to "hear" you have that problem. I have ear problems regularly, so I know how annoying it is. Especially if it starts getting painful. It could end up being a trip to the doctors if it does start getting sore. Re; Q Tips. I stopped using them a few years ago. One time the cotton bud got stuck in my ear and I had to go to the hospital and they had to use a special instrument to remove it. Thankfully my ear drum wasn't damaged, but I never used them again. I will keep praying for you. Love, Becky. X
  9. Thanks Turtletwo. I really appreciate it. X
  10. Hi Shortangel, I'm praying for you that Jesus will heal your broken heart. I'm so sorry you've lost your dog. I know how heart breaking it is. We lost ours two years ago, and it is a terrible, terrible time. Big hugs to you. Your dog will now be in the arms of Jesus. No, it isn't a punishment from the Lord at all. All of us, and animals, leave the Earth at some point. Jesus loves you very much. We are all sinners, ever single one of us. We've all done wrong, and on this side of Heaven we will all continue to do wrong. When we sin, we repent to Him, and that sin is wiped out forever. He isn't AGAINST us for our sins, He is FOR us against our sins! Love, Becky. X
  11. Hi Mel, I pray that you find your card. Have you contacted your bank? If you can't find it, it'll be a good idea to let the bank now, as they freeze the card and re-issue you with another one. But I pray you find the one you've lost.
  12. Hi Plavious, I just can't imagine what you're going through. It sounds absolutely horrible. I pray Jesus keeps you strong and safe through all of this. Keep your eyes on Jesus and what a glorious future you have with Him, when you enter into your eternal Home with Him.
  13. Hi Mel, I pray that if it's Jesus' will, you'll be going to the conference. Definitely. Love, Becky. X
  14. Hi John, I'm praying for Chardonnay right now. We have a dog, and so I know what a worry things like this can be, when they're injured or not well.
