  1. This is where one asks questions not post answers. The question you asked where can I find Jesus? The answer is by looking for him in the Bible or by talking to a Christian. Mod could you move this to a suitable forum.
  2. If the deeds of the flesh are to be destroyed, why put on a new man? Unless you are selectively quoting scripture. As new creatine we are to live for Jesus showing by our deeds, our fleshy acts that we follow him.
  3. Read and follow LonerAndy post no 4. He gives you excellent advice. So read and think about what he says. My advice is simple. Don't have an online boy/girl friend relationship unless it starts as a relationship where you did meet and talk before one of you moved away.
  4. Why 'must'there be laws etc common to both? Why do you assume we can perceive any indication that there is a spiritual universe? The only reason we know there is a spiritual world is that spiritual beings, angels and demons have communicated with people. Your choice is to believe the Bible, believe folk religion or to disbelieve. Talk to scientists and unless they are believers they will deny there is anything other than the material universe.
  5. That you are scared you have lost your salvation is good. If you had lost it you would not be worried about loosing it. Dreams are a reflection of what is worrying you . May I suggest talking with your youth leader at your church. If that is not possible think about this:- Jesus she all the glory of heaven, put off his powers inorder to become a man. He had to grow up, then teach people about God before being brutally beaten, mocked and crucified. Why. To save you. Is he really going to let you throw all that away because of a few thoughts! Learn 1 John1:8+9 God is faithful and will forgive us our sins and Purify us from all Unrighteousness. If you doubt your salvation try thanking and praising God for his salvation.
  6. Before one can run any race, let alone the marathon that the Christian life is, one has to train, to get fit. What sort of training, what sort of preparation, what sort of energy and endurance producing food are you eating?
  7. Please read 1John1:8+9 there we are told that God will forgive and purify us from our sins, so your past sins have been dealt with. If you are bothered by memories of them, go to God and thank and praise him for his grace, mercy etc in forgiving you your sins. Paul in Romans lamented that he was struggling to do what he knew was the good and right thing to do and that what he found so easy was to do what he knew was the wrong, sinful thing to do. Your problem in living a ' pure ' life is quite normal. Not that that is an excuse none of us resist temptation as hard as we should. We all need to stop looking at images, words etc that encourage us to think about temptation. We need to cut those things out of our lives. We all need to learn the techniques that help us control our temper, to think before we speak. And to practise being hardworking, honest etc etc etc. Having a daily time of Bible reading and prayer, being regular in attendance at church are ways of amending how one thinks and that does affect behaviour. Keeping a short account with God is how the puritans described it, being open to God about one's failure and asking for forgiveness. It is why Paul talked about training like an Olympic athlete or as a trained and equipped soldier. We have to work at being Christian.
  8. Ever wondered why do so many people always take the side of the person in the wrong? It is not just the george Floyd incident almost any case where police enforce the law seems to bring out protests and when law abiding folk get hurt there are no protests. This article has some answers:- Wintery knight.com/2020/08/31/why-do-progressives-make-heros-out-of-villains-and-call-the-police-villains/ It's a long read with the interesting bit halfway down.
  9. The best person to ask is either a Christian frien or your pastor, then you could meet and read, discuss and pray over coffee.
  10. Then as no one seems to understand your question reword it and ask it again.
  11. Most anger is selfish, he cut me up, just wait, he snubbed me I'll get him back, or childish, you hit me so I'll hit you. Yes this is wrong, but anger over the mistreatment of the vunerable or the exploitation of the weak is not wrong or sinfull so long as that anger drives us into productive action to right those wrongs. Anger at a man beating a woman does not justify us beating him up, but does our stopping the beating and detaining him untill the police arrive.
  12. Sorry but faith is a gift from God eph 2:8+9.
  13. The command to the servants was to use the money given to them to earn more money. The point of the parable was obedience to a command not generosity to the poor. That is already covered in the OT, those who are rich are to be generous towards the poor.
  14. We are not strong in the Lord, those who think they are, are putting there strength in themselves. As Paul wrote in 2 For 12:9-11, my grace is sufficient for you, my power is manifest in your weakness. We have to depend on God for the strength to stand.
  15. May I suggest that you look at the statements of belief of the churches within a reasonable travel distance from your home and that you watch there online services, or if they still have services in church attend them. The thing about the online services is you can easily watch several weeks worth and get an idea of how they worship and of there preaching through that medium. Once you have found a church that you can agree with there statement of faith and like there on line services. Contact them with a view to becoming a member of that church. No minister is going to pay much attention to request for baptism from an unknown person. Get involved in a local church in what ever form is available and in time you can ask the minister about baptism. What church do I attend. A n independent nonconformist church in the suburbs of London England. We have about two hundred members, two full time ministers and a full set of committees. Currently we are not able to meet in our church building. So we have two online services on Sunday a morning service with a zoom after church coffee and chat. An evening service. We also have a biweek online prayer central, and a bi weekly zoom house group meeting that alternate each week. W will be restating an online toddler group meeting and also have zoom meetings for the various youth groups. We're conservative evangelical as far as theology goes. Why do I attend, simple I agree with the theology, I enjoy the fellowship, the members accept be for who I am and I try to do the same for them, it does help that I've been there for a long time.
  16. That statement is wrong. God forgave you when you repented and accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. If your co worker won't talk to you or listen to you, all you can do is hand the whole situation over to God and ask him to deal with your co workers anger at you, your feelings of hurt, betrayal, anger at his responce etc etc. You also have to pray for him, that is intelligently for his real needs. Often in life we cannot forgive simply because we cannot talk with the offender, in order to say I forgive you they have to say they are sorry. We have to be ready and willing to forgive, not always an easy thing to be prepared to do.
  17. Yes the Bible does say that, but telling someone they are stupid etc is not how one gets them to think about what one is saying to them.
  18. This equable is about your claim that Christians are worshiping God wrongly because of false teachings etc. I asked you to provide evidence and the only evidence you have provided is your claim to be speaking by the Spirit. In my experience Christians are worshipping God, serving him as they best can in the light of their understanding of scripture. I understand that we are sinners saved by grace, that we constantly fail our Lord and Saviour. But it is to him we are answerable, not to you. So unless you are going to provide facts to support your claim I consider this conversation ended.
  19. Please talk with her, what are her opinions on using potties or the toilet, what she thinks and feels about using diallers, whether she is aware when she needs to go, or when she is going, what she thinks about being different from children her age at nursery, Sunday school or regular school who all use the toilet. Is she concerned about strangers or other people knowing that she uses or need to be changed and ask her why? The problem is in her mind, how she sees going to the toilet etc and untill she wants to change nothing will happen. ( This is not to imply that she has a mental problem, just that she does not see the need to change )
  20. No better reason for studying theology. May I suggest that in addition to studying books, articles, goods etc that you be practical and get involved in either teaching in a Sunday school or in evangelism to ground your theological knowledge in the reality of living among and loving non Christians.
  21. Sorry but that statement is not correct. Christians depend on the intellect and the integrity of a great many professional people as well as those who do ordinary Jobs. What non Christians are is they are sinners in need of a saviour. The only difference between them and us is that we know the Saviour.
  22. Jesus kept to the letter of the moral law, the ten commandments. We are to be imitators of him so we too should keep to the letter and to the Spirit of the ten commandments. Is that what non Christians see in us?
  23. For the non Christian this is a hard saying, as is seen in the reaction of the Jews. Those who had more spiritual awareness or who just trusted Jesus more knew there had to be more than cannibalism, as Peter showed when he said ' You have the Words of eternal life.' Christianity is not an easy option.
  24. I would suggest spending some time using Google to find articles for and against the sea's in order to get a better understanding of them. I haven't looked at there home web site if it is like others there will be a contact/ask questions section where you can do that. For me they have two questionable traits. There insistence on Saturday worship and the value they put on there finders writings, raising it to a level of being equal to scripture. Majoring in a minor matter like Saturday rather than any other day and the raising of other literature to being along side or more important than s rupture are two marks of a cults. ( Down grading Jesus, isolating from other Christians and requiring obedience to a leader are three other marks, which I am not saying the sea show. )
  25. Why do you want to know? If you suspect someone is demon possessed Do Not Try to deal with it. Luke Skywalker went up against Darth Vader as a novice and barely escaped. You are nether Luke Skywalker nor are you Indiana Jones, Batman or any other hero. You go and get help.
