  1. Actually, there is a perfect storm in play. Jacob is basically the end of the multi-witness line; Adam to Methuselah, Methuselah to Shem, Shem to Jacob. When looking at the ages, Adam to Jacob is that close. Along the way, would be family members that could add to, and support what needed to be known, like Noah and Abraham. Joseph has the power of pharaoh, and Egypt is voracious for information. Scribes can, and do use a cursive style of writing for daily use called hieratics. Jacob is in Egypt for 17 years. Those papyrus scrolls would have been maintained in the royal library, only used by royalty and the rich, the daughter of pharaoh, and Moses, are among the few allowed in. She says that she called him Moses because she drew him from the water, that is not what the name means. It is really only part of a name, the name of a god is suppose to complete it. Did she say that he was called Moses because she read in a scroll that someone special would be drawn from the water that was "Born to the god with no name"? A beautiful thought, but Moses was not one to spoon feed information so it is a potential perfect storm that is feasible and nothing more.
  2. If the definition for an angel involves being a messenger, then yes he was/is an angel. An angel is going to need to be able to understand every language that is, was, and will be. They will need to have the ability to explain, when needed, exactly what is intended without altering any of the original message. Evil just uses the ability to trap any human in it's own web. The only major creations without that ability, should be Leviathan and Behemoth; they are named by God, and thus the logic presented Job should still stand today. There should be zero way that a creation of power can come across a population of humans, and wipe them out saying that it did not know, or it had no choice, due to a lack of communication. The only time that great confusion should happen with a creation of power is when something evil appears, and an angel shows to deal with it.
  3. Just me of course, but I think that we have a really big issue that gets overlooked. Take a minute, and pick out a total number of individual evil entities able to watch our moves. Whatever total number seems about right, I would guess that the 8 billion humans now is a bigger problem than they had dealing with us in the Bible. In the Bible, they could nickel and dime at faith, I doubt the game plan remains the same. I figure that the family of someone they know that death pulled back it's hand from are a high priority, and Christ and angels spending extra time helping are a close second. Frustration is a good thing, it can be so much worse. Anyway, I am sure that God understands since He will do what He can, but has to gauge the impact of what could happen if He does too much. Always remember, Christ was on the cross asking why He was forsaken, so He knows how it can be first hand. That was an extremely important moment for angels I think, seeing what took place, and hearing those words. They really do help when they can, so just know it can always be worse.
  4. Actually, these are two distinct, and different views. OSAS is a bond held by both parties, the counter is Pascal's Wager, placing all the work on Christ. The wager is that since God is not tangible in a scientific way, make the bet, say the words that He is, and live how you want. Clearly they could never be bothered to read that Christ directly nipped that in the bud; He knows that it is just words, so depart since He never knew them. OSAS is a daily journey with Christ, not a once a year prayer at the holidays. We will talk to God just because He is there, not only at holidays, or if trouble comes our way. Some days we will fall to our knees, and ask for the strength to make it another day, or fall to our knees to thank Him for the day that He has given. Jesus has been there when no one else could be bothered, trust and believe that I have a death grip on His hand. I would imagine that most of those here will say the same, so why would we not feel secure in the hand that we hold? Maybe change the name to DGOJ? Death grip on Jesus?
  5. No, there is not a Dred Scott population roaming the planet. First, and probably the most important aspect, it would imply that select humans are not created in the image of God. Genesis 9 clearly points out that murder is a crime because it is an attack on the image of God. Genesis 9:6-7 “Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man. And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; Bring forth abundantly in the earth And multiply in it.” The image of God prevents the use of a stand in for others; we all matter to God as individuals since we all have the image of God. The Dred Scott decision created such a group, and we start to run out of the stand in's before running low on the evil that men do. If someone wants to think that God would have sub humans, or remove His image from an innocent for the sake of another, that is what it is. Seems like pride to me since that involves knowing which group we belong in. If we knew, then evil would know, and the human divide would be insane. How many people would believe in God, if they knew that no matter how much that they loved Him, He would never care for them? Those impacted by Dred Scott would sing out, "I love the Lord, He heard my cry", and tell their children, "No matter what they do to you, never beg; it only makes evil happy". Just me of course, but the ram never was created in the image of God, and that makes all the difference in the world.
  6. Pharaoh had a play in that demand to let the people go, he was just too filled with hate to see it. Once his heart was hardened, evil was cut off from bringing it up since he wouldn't listen to evil anymore than he would Moses. If Pharaoh says that they can leave, but the body of Joseph stays, he would have a valid point. You tried to kill him, we made him as powerful as a king, he will stay with us. That could have been a complicated mess; can Egypt be punished for the truth? Just me, but I would not want the body of Joseph to be a sticking point, and as long as he was stuck in his own little world, it would never be one.
  7. Just me, but if I was in their shoes, I might be confused on what would happen when all is said and done. They have entered into a grey area as children of Israel, that are changing a system of belief that will not be universally accepted. They are not gentiles, and not following the traditional path as Jews, so what happens when they die? Christ will tell them not to worry about it, He will make a place for them when the time comes. Basically there won't be a door for Jews, and another for gentiles, leaving them confused on how do they enter heaven. How it looks to me anyway.
  8. Flavored would be Bellaccino cinnamon sticks, regular is Gloria Jeans black and gold extra bold. They do not make them anymore, so whatever the Lord provides. Thank goodness it has never been decaf. Decaf tea, but never coffee. If I walk into a store, and a box of 24 is like 3 bucks, or a box of 12 is a buck and change, say "Thank you God!", and in the cart they go.
  9. Depends on the limits to what can be asked. If I can ask for wisdom, that is like multiple questions being answered for life. If that is a no go, then where is the rod of Aaron in longitude and latitude? Ask that one wrong, could just be told that it is in the Ark. If that is another no can do, then would God write, " I Love You" from shoulder to shoulder across my back. That would just be epic; bad day just pat a shoulder and instant great day.
  10. Honestly, I am still blown away that I was chosen to be created in the image of God. Right there is an honor that blows my mind; spit on me, hate me, judge me, I could care less. I am human, and God put His stamp on me by creating me in His image. So out of all creation, I was elected to protect, honor, and uphold the gift of being in the image of God. If I ever had thoughts of more than that, I think of Adam. Adam just makes me cringe; in one fell swoop, he throws Eve under the bus, and points the finger at God for his sin. As a man, that is just embarrassing, to say the least. I wish Eve would have cut in, told God that she wanted to create a word that she calls "divorce", and Adam should pay for it with another rib so that a real man could launch the world. The first man, can't even "man up". I do not have to get beyond the first two, and I am right back to blown away with being in the image of God. Nothing better to be, and I intend to keep it that way myself.
  11. Funny thing, back around the time of the Civil War, a guy immigrated from Norway to America. He must have looked like one of the Frank Frazetta "Death Dealers", because he marries a Black woman with no issues at all. So basically a Viking is living in the Black section of New Orleans. Something happens and he needs medical help; Black people panic since going to be a ton of lynchings if this Viking dies in that part of town. They have White people come and get him, and he asks where they will take him? They say the White hospital, and he tells them that his people can not visit him there, take him to the Black hospital or he will kill them. He is listed in the family Bible, who he married is not. I thought it was a myth, but now and then someone will be born with dark skin, but really light grey eyes. A unique look, so did the DNA test and Norway it is. Which is also funny since relatives on the DNA site will pop up with blonde hair, and blue eyes. Yes, he went to the Black hospital, and would live a long life.
  12. You are correct. Problem number one is that Christ does not know the details of this vision while walking around on the planet. To love us, He knows us, from the same point as the Father. He knows first to last of humanity, but the plan on getting from A to Z, He had no clue. He would know exactly when events unfold in the last thousand plus years if He knew that vision shown John. We are at a point, in human history, when a child is born every quarter of a second. Does not matter how that stat is twisted, He would know who was being born during that period down to the minute. Christ is way too powerful to know the information in the vision, and claim not to know the plan. That would have been a lie. He does not know. This is the second time people are going to be bit trying to use verses before an event unfolds; swore up and down that a human king was the promise, and in comes a carpenter God. For exact details, Revelation is what to use. Problem number two. When Christ returns, two humans are so vile that they are placed in the lake of fire ALIVE. Out of all the vile acts that humans have done since Adam, who was ever placed live into the lake of fire? Only Christians that lived and died during that regime can relate to the mortals still alive. There is a reason for that thousand years, and Christians from outside the time of the beast and false prophet only cause damage. Those Christians are unified; they could give two hoots about who is elect, who is from what branch of Christianity, how old is the planet, or why isn't my child, husband, sibling, or whoever with me? This is about unified Christians bringing together what humans are left, as one. They will have been tortured beyond words. The Christians that will be used to reach these people, as well as those that they will minister to. Telling someone that they will get that mark, is like telling one of us Americans that they will hand over all their guns. Torture is a strong motivator. So we bring back the Christian slave owner from 200 years ago, the guy who never had more than a hangnail to worry about, the Christian that is 100% sure he knows the truth, so you must believe EXACTLY as he does or you will go to hell! They sleep, they have no clue how to relate to anyone living under people so vile, that were placed ALIVE in the lake of fire. He does not want the Christian version of Miriam walking around, spouting who knows what. Like minds of people everywhere are what must be when evil is released, and that starts from the minute people are witnessed to after Christ returns. I have no issue about those that do not see it that way, but for me and my house, that is how it will be.
  13. Because it would draw people to a religion for the protection, and not the love of God. God had been accused of a wall around Job. Pascal's wager is already an issue, extending beyond that to literal protection in our daily lives would bring more chaos than answers. People are strange, they would sink into asking why they have a scar, and someone else doesn't? He saved them both, but that would become lost to personal ideals of how well the situation ended. We honestly have zero idea of how many times that He has saved us. We have no idea how many serial killers, pedophiles, rapists, or flat out evil has locked any of us in their sites, and did not follow through with an intention. For some of us this evil has reared its head, and Christ knows the pain, the rage, the suffering of the victims. It would be better for that evil to tie a millstone around their neck, and sink in the ocean than face Christ for the crimes that they have done, and that day with Christ will happen.
  14. Whatever people see, or think that they see, it was never human. 10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he? 11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up: 12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. Job 14:10-12 For the living know that they shall die; but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. ECCLESIASTES 9:5 Death does not grant the ability to do anything. Even if they were not asleep, which they seem to be, they can not interact with the living, or be seen by the living. If previous generations could pop up, they would not be forgotten.
