I dont go to church...I have no legitimate excuse for you WHY I dont go...I just dont go. Unfortunately, If I explained my reasons, then I'd be guilty of Judging the clergy. However, while talking about this, I remember when I was first "Born Again" in the late 70's or early eighties, I went to all kinds of churches, bible studies, prayer meetings, and some BIG conventions(charismatic)...When i would go to church back then, I would just look around at all the people who really didnt know Jesus. I figure that they were mostly all there because it runs in the family, or perhaps, because they read that theyre supposed to go.THATS why I always went to church before being saved, just because I was supposed to go and thats all I knew. If I do go now, which is not very often, I'm dissapointed that the truth isnt preached..Its not just at my church I go to, but I feel its alot, if not most of the churches nowadays...How many pastors counsel young couples who "Live together" as if its acceptable? How many pastors tell the congregation to go out and protest abortion?...and on and on and on....Sometimes I wanna get up and yell,"C'mon, tell us about hell!"...Or, "Tell us about how wrong homosexuality is and fornication is, and divorce is!"....As mentioned earlier in this thread....Sort of....We dont like the truth because it hurts our feelings... Some preachers know this....and they dont want to hurt peoples feelings...for whatever reason. oh well....and I wasnt going to be judgemental your friend, john

Ive had a small cross, about 8 inches tall..Ive had this cross since as long as I can remember..It has a body of Jesus on it which GLOWS in the dark! I like this cross as it reminds me to hold on to the faith I had as a child. It doesnt have any secret powers in itself, but it is a reminder of What Jesus did for me and for all people in the world...And, it still glows! Hi John, thanks for the story.. I actually got gored by goat right under my chin when I was about 5 years old. I had stitches right under my chin.. my sister ran to me when she saw what happened and she got hit right where I got hit too! She also has stitches on her chin! hehe... So the goat tore through the car or just put dents in it? I had a friend who had several dents because of hail and the body shop told her it would cost $20 per dent.. she told me this was cheap but it's really expensive if you ask me. Is that how much your friend paid as well?? hail damage dent repair is more like a paintless repair..... they use rods and such to repair ding or small dents from inside the panel.... the place here that does it, starts at about 35 bucks a dent..... takes about 15 - 30 min per dent, depending on the size and shape of the dent. I had one in my tailgate of my truck, the only way you could see it was with the light going across the light would waver good, the total size was about that of the old IKE dollar... after they got done, even knowing where it was at, I could not find it.... and I watched them do the entire repair..... the paint is going to be one of the larger factors in the repair. color matching is now done by computer. when our van was done, they took and cut about a 4 inch circle out of the old (messed up) fender and sent it in for a computerized match, and you can not tell the difference between the painted new fender and the rest of the vehicle. mike Nawwww blien, I dont know what it cost for that guy..it was 20 years ago at least!LOL!! your friend, john

with body repair, your going to get what you pay for...... even if the body work is taken care of pretty good, the paint job may be more important in the repair..... some will just mask around all the trim work and sand it down a bit and then shoot it..... this will leave an edge that can later collect water (or moisture) and then cause it to start blistering or peeling..... some times the insurance thing is the best thing. for one, it can be fixed and drivable faster then if a person has to wait until they have the money to fix it.... most places will not release the vehicle until....UNTIL.... all payments are received for the work done..... with insurance, you will pay your deductible, and with some companies, you may not even have an increase for the first accident...... full coverage (comprehensive) is the only insurance that will cover your vehicle in a single car accident or one that is deemed your fault...... they also have a deal now, that when a car is repaired, it is listed with it's VIN so that any one wanting to purchase it later can access the information about accidents and such..... now.... was there any damage at all to the pillar you hit? I remember this guy that had to get to K.C. airport early in the morning, so he took off and a few blocks down the road, hit an owl with his windshield, busted it good..... drove back home, got his wife to follow him to the shop, left a note to have the windshield repaired (explaining how it happened) and when he returned home from his business trip, was ticketed for leaving the scene of an accident and failure to render aid...... Years ago, when i was first born again, I watched kenneth Copeland! I thought he was great! Evey time he came on I watched...and listened..... So, after his show one nite, I got silly....I wrote him a letter( pre-email days), and i told him that anytime he was in my area, he could stay at my .house! I told him I'd take him fishing and all sorts of stuff..5 pages of stuf i wrote him....And you know what?...I got a response!!!!..It was a letter asking for a contribution to his ministries! a form letter, not a real letter!Whoever got my letter I sent to to Kenneth decided that they would answer for him...with a request for money!!...Now, aint that a trip!!! Later on, I'll tell you about me inviting Katarina Witt to stay at my house and i'd take her fishing! Before they get too comfortable they need to read Revelation.... Its only a matter of time before we see the same thing happening in our country. Go visit England and take a look in their churches on Sunday...Almost empty, and the people in them really dont have much time left to go to church either..They're old. I dont think that England is what one might call a Christian country...I think alot of the people(not all, of course) there are either non believers or atheists and agnostics...but, then again, so is alot of europe. your friend, john

I don't believe anyone can actually prove we are in the end times. I think it's fast approaching, but we're not there yet. Just my opinion. Maybe we just dont know about the dreams and visions...Because the TV people dont broadcast them. If you look in the Christian section of a book store you'll find all kinds of stuff on peoples visions and dreams...Now, whether you believe what the authors say or not, thats up to you...Have you ever noticed than when you see somebody on the street corner preaching "The end is near", most people think the person is a lunatic?...I think publishers shy away from Godly stuff as it may make the publisher look like a fool...I believe that, even if a book is in the Christian section, You got to be careful of what you read and believe......One other thing,.....The "World" now tends to go for "Scientific explanations" over bible prophecy most all of the time. Like my friend Man says, nobody can actually prove the end times are here, and like man says, I also think the end times are approaching, although I believe faster than most people are expecting....Mostly though, i observe whats going on in the mideast for my assumptions...I'm just definitely not looking forward to IF and WHEN the U.S. turns on Israel...I think our stand with Israel may be our saving grace, but look how fast time is escaping us?..Seems that stuf fcan happen in a matter of days, even minutes nowadays!...I still glance at the sky every now and then! Hmmm,...It easy to know the answer to this...Its WHY you burn the candle...or incense....If youre doing it to please God, theres nothing wrong with it......When you sing in church..or in the shower...or wherever....Doesnt it sound better with musical instruments?...God likes it with or without the musical instruments, but the added instruments just make it more interesting, right?...Nothing sinful here...I dont think burning a candle in honor of a deceased parent, or with a prayer session is gonna send you to hell, thats for sure....Honoring someone is not the same as worshipping God...Honoring means showing respect...worshipping means,...well,...you know what it means..It means putting God Higher than anything else! Jeff -- here's my take: Right now there is an "antiHoly Spirit" in the world. Who is it that claims to speak "inerrantly" for God? He is the antiSpirit -- the Pope. When the rapture is past, he will appear to be antiChrist -- Christ come again. Then at midtrib, he will become antiGod "sitting in the holy place showing himself that he is God." (2Thes 2:4) We are in the "last hour." If you can see the other things that validate this, you know we are. skypair I resent that remark Skypair. If this is the kind of teaching that you're learning from your church, or wherever, you might consider doing some praying about what you have going into your heart...Think about it.....Nobody really listens to the pope, not even most catholics...For instance...The popes speaks out against abortion....But, do you think that all Catholics are "Pro-Life"?...shoot no..... Do you really suppose the "Holy Place" is in the Vatican?...I kind of doubt it, but I always thought it was the "Temple" in Jerusalem. I'm a Catholic...I was "Born Again" in an Assembly of God church...I was married by a Church of Christ minister...Do you suppose I'm going to hell too, because I was baptised as a baby? I used to "Dwell" on the rapture....didnt want to make plans for the future because I knew, at any moment I was going to be raptured..Now, if it happens, it happens...I personally, dont believe it anymore..I mean, like 2 people in a field, one will be taken, the other left...2 people in bed...One will be taken, the other left...These acts can be done by the police, or kidnappers, or Nazis( like when they rounded up Jews). I'm very sorry if I seem harsh, but these types of words are what break apart members of the church..I'm not talking about my church, or your church..I'm talking about US, Christians as a whole. Dont worry about who the antichrist is gonna be, because as the bible tells us, Many believers will be tricked into turning to the antichrist when he takes his place to rule...The ones who arent tricked will look like idiots to the ones who are fooled.
