  1. Habakkuk 2:1-2: "I will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart; and I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me...Then the Lord answered me and said, 'Record the vision...'" Ways to be sure what you're hearing is from Him: TEST THE ORIGIN (1 John 4:1) Thoughts from our own minds are progressive, with one thought leading to the next. Thoughts from the Holy Spirit are spontaneous. The Hebrew word for true prophecy is "naba",which literally means to bubble up, whereas false prophecy is "ziyd" meaning to boil up. True words from the Lord will bubble up from our innermost being; we don't need to cook them up ourselves. COMPARE IT TO BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES God will never say something to you personally which is contrary to His universal revelation as expressed in the Scriptures. If the Bible clearly states that something is a sin, no amount of journaling can make it right. Much of what you journal about will not be specifically addressed in the Bible, however, so an understanding of Biblical principles is also needed. COMPARE IT TO THE NAMES AND CARACTER OF GOD REVEALED IN THE BIBLE Anything God says to you will be in harmony with His essential nature. Journaling will help you get to know God personally, but knowing what the Bible says about Him will help you discern what words are from Him. Make sure the tenor of your journaling lines up with the character of God as described in the names of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. TEST THE FRUIT (Matthew 7:15-20) What effect does what you are hearing have on your soul and your spirit? Words from the Lord will quicken your faith and increase your love, peace, and joy. They will stimulate a sense of humility within you as you become more aware of Who God is and who you are. On the other hand, any words you receive which cause you to fear or doubt, which bring you into confusion or anxiety, or which stroke your ego must be immediately rebuked and rejected as lies of the enemy. SHARE IT WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL COUNSELORS (Proverbs 11:14) We are members of a Body! A cord of three strands is not easily broken, and God's intention has always been for us to grow together. Nothing will increase your faith in your ability to hear from God like having it confirmed by two or three other people who have a solid Biblical orientation. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  2. It is essential to our spiritual health that we spend quality time in His presence, waiting upon Him. Only then, will we have the spiritual energy to face the challenges, testings, and problems of life. "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31 During these times of intimate fellowship, we are brought into a closer union with Him. In the closeness of this communion, we will receive of His life and strength, and along with this, we will come into a deeper understanding of spiritual principles and an unfolding of His Word, which will draw us yet closer. "...The times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19 "Waiting upon the Lord" is the key to a victorious, overcoming life. Throughout the Psalms, whenever David found himself in difficult circumstances, he constantly reminded himself to "wait upon the Lord." "Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." Psalm 27:14 It is here in His presence that we will begin to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom. There will be a realignment of our inner being, and our priorities will change from the natural to the spiritual. Our spiritual senses will be energized by His presence and restored to respond to His purposes. SOWING TO THE SPIRIT As we wait upon the Lord, we will experience a genuine encounter with the Lord. Then wherever we go, the result of this "manifest presence" that we have experienced, will cut through every bondage and fear in those who are witnessing the result of our life being the expression of His life. During these prolonged times spent in His presence, we are "sowing" to the Spirit – enlarging our capacity to flow with the Holy Spirit. It is always costly to the natural man, but this provides us with the opportunity to overcome. Many "early morning risings" may seemingly bear no fruit at all, but the continued lifting up of our desire for Him, along with our worship and the obedience of seeking after Him, rather than things, will in time bring forth within us an accumulative effect that will surprisingly produce a profound spiritual result. We will have "become" a prophetic vessel that is available to Him. These times of "waiting upon the Lord," in His presence, do not produce quick results, but rather, lasting ones. Jesus commanded us to abide in Him, adding that it will cause us to bear "fruit that remains." But, the abiding life – a life that "waits" in God's presence, will produce fruit that will stand in eternity. "I love them that love Me; and those who seek Me early shall find Me... that I may cause those who love Me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures." Proverbs 8:17, 21 OPEN THE DOOR AND INVITE HIM IN Indeed, the Lord is knocking on the door of our hearts and our lives. He is seeking to enter in. He is seeking a people that will respond to His knock and that will open the door and invite Him in, that they might "wait upon Him." 1. Come apart from all activity, and sit quietly in an attitude of worship. 2. Sit quietly in an attitude of worship and expectancy, as if looking at a door expecting at any moment that the door will open, and a person will enter (Jesus). 3. Spiritual strength is renewed as we draw on the life of Jesus that flows out from the throne – NOT abstract power as some teach. We are to seek a person, not power. 4. Mabe you have felt nothing after several minutes or hours of waiting -- but after the time of waiting, everything that you do is accomplished much better, and you notice a glow in your spirit. Now you can say with confidence: "...Let my Beloved come into His garden, and eat His pleasant fruits." Song of Solomon 4:16 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY nttp://afministry.ning.com
  3. Matthew 7:14 - "The way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it." Observation: I HEED CAREFULLY THE WARNING OF JESUS SINCE I REALIZE THAT THE VOICE OF THE MAJORITY, BEING AFRAID OF BOTH THE BATTLE AND THE COST, WILL BE A VOICE OF DISCOURAGEMENT TO ME SINCE I AM SERIOUS ABOUT FULFILLING THE PROMISES OF GOD. Ephesians 6:16,17 - "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God". Some are willing to spend hours in prayer asking for a miracle instead of planting the Word of God in their hearts, which in time would produce the miracle. Prayer is what water and fertilizer are to a seed. They help the Word release its life. But if you haven't planted the seed, it doesn't matter how much water and fertilizer you apply, the soil still won't produce fruit. It's the seed that has life! Affirmations: I CONFESS THAT I WEAR MY SALVATION TIGHTLY AROUND MY MIND LIKE A HELMET. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW HARD THE DEVIL TRIES TO HACK AWAY AT MY MIND, I STILL STAND STRONG BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT JESUS' DEATH AND RESURRECTION PURCHASED FOR ME! Song of Solomon 1:1 - "Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth." Observation: GOD UNITES HIMSELF WITH MY SPIRIT, AND I AM ABLE TO BEGIN TO EXPLORE THE FULLNESS OF GOD. THE JOURNEY TOWARD THIS COMPLETE UNION IS A PLACE WHERE MY SPIRIT IS COMPLETELY POSSESSED BY GOD. CONSIDER THAT JESUS IS CALLED "THE WORD." THE "KISSES OF HIS MOUTH" IS NOTHING LESS THAN THE VITAL COMMUNICATION OF THE WORD OF GOD TO ME. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  4. Matthew 5:3 - "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven." We empty our souls, and seek to be filled with the attitude of Christ, which is a sure wellspring -- unending, and brimming with life eternal. We count all that the proud flesh desires as worth less than nothing. There is a present urgency and need to present ourselves as being available to become a "place of habitation" for the presence and glory of the Lord, beyond anything that has previously been experienced or seen. According to Paul, God bestows to us strength and power according to the riches of His glory. His glory is abundant, it's bountiful and it's endless. We cannot walk in the fullness of our destiny or calling until we KNOW the strength of God and live daily by the strength of who He is in our inner man (Ephesians 3:16). Philippians 3:8,9 - "I reckon everything as complete loss for the sake of what is so much more valuable, the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have thrown everything away; I consider it all as mere rubbish, so that I might gain Christ and be completely united with Him." Genesis 15:5,6 - "And God brought Abram forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and He counted it to him for righteousness." Observation: I think about and reflect on the word of God -- pondering a particular scripture and mentally applying it to my own circumstances again and again until that scripture permanently marks my consciousness. As God put vision in Abram through His word, He will also bring up into my consciousness His vision for me. AFFIRMATIONS: I see God in a new way as HE comes to lead me forward -- I feel a stirring in my emotions -- God is knocking on my door -- God is calling me to a new place. The Spirit of God is creating a desire for the NEW - I thank the Holy Spirit for helping me to press through into this new place. My provision is waiting at the next level. I refuse to sit any long in a low place. Mark 16:15 - And He said unto them, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." OBSERVATION: Jesus expects me to invade every sphere where I have influence and to use that influence to share the gospel with the people who live, work and function in those places. I choose this day to invest my time and energy into fulfilling that divine assignment. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  5. Romans 12:2 - "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." The place where Jesus was crucified was called "Golgotha", which meant "place of the skull." If I will be effective in spiritual warfare, the first field of conflict where I must learn warfare is the batleground of the mind; ie. the "place of the skull." Joshua 1:6 - "Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them." True soldiers of Christ resolve to die every day to this world so that they live for the sake of the Gospel. It is time for courage to enable us to lift a sword that never leaves our hands again -- it never gets put on the mantle. Every day is a day of conquest -- every day is a day for king Jesus to be glorified -- it is called courage. Affirmation: COURAGE MAKES ME DO EXTRAORDINARY THINGS FOR GOD EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF IMPOSSIBLE CIRCUMSTANCES. Proverbs 28:1 - "The wicked flee when no man pursues them, but the righteous are bold as a lion." 1 Corinthians 2:11 - "As for a man, it is his own spirit within him that knows all about him; in the same way only God's Spirit knows all about God." Observation: GOD COMMUNICATES WITH ME THROUGH MY SPIRIT. IT IS GOD'S SPIRIT THAT BEARS WITNESS WITH MY SPIRIT THAT I AM A SON OF GOD. Romans 8:14 - "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  6. 2 Timothy 2:22 - "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." Observation: IT IS BETTER TO DEVELOP GODLY VIRTUES THAN TO SPEND MY DAY PRAYING AGAINST THE DEVIL. VICTORY BEGINS WITH THE NAME OF JESUS ON MY LIPS. IT IS CONSUMMATED BY THE NATURE OF JESUS IN MY HEART. Matthew 6:9-11 - "This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed by Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Observation: HEAVEN NEEDS ME TO GIVE IT LICENSE TO IMPACT EARTH. I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND CHANGE THE COURSE OF HISTORY IF I WILL JUST UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE AND POWER OF PRAYER. Romans 8:14 - "As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." God's Higher Ground is where you stop arguing with yourself and others, cease struggling with your flesh, and move into His perfect will for you. It's the place where you have made the decision to live a holy life in a temporal unholy world, and although you are quite aware that you will never (in this life) avoid occasional stumbling, you must get up and go to HIGHER GROUND. Higher Ground is the only place where 'Super-grow' soil exists for your spirit to grow (Mark 4: 20). It is the place where you are determined to fulfill the PURPOSE God placed you here for. Blessings abound in that place......are you willing to go to Higher Ground? Affirmations: I CONFESS THAT I AM LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD! THE HOLY SPIRIT TUGS AND PULLS ON MY HEART, AND I COOPERATE BY FOLLOWING HIM AS HE GENTLY LEADS ME WHERE HE WANTS ME TO GO. HE SEES AND KNOWS WHAT I CANNOT SEE. HE IS LEADING ME EXACTLY WHERE I NEED TO BE IN ORDER TO REACH GOD'S PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  7. Matthew 15:26 - "To this Jesus replied 'it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."' It is the privilege of children to eat at the table with their Father and from His dish, which is to share in His Spirit; but the dogs must eat the crumbs that fall from the table. Psalms 59: 14,15 - "And at evening let them return; and let them make an noise like a dog, and go round about the city. Let them wander up and down for meat, and tarry if they be not satisfied." Luke 22:24 - "Now an eager contention arose among them as to which of them was considered and reputed to be the greatest." Observation: I AM NOT AT REST IN HIM IF I AM LOOKING ABOUT TO SEE HOW HE IS DEALING WITH OTHERS. NOR AM I AT HIS SERVICE TO BRING THE GRACE OF COMPASSION TO THEM, IF I HAVE TAKEN A HIGHER SEAT . Luke 22:26 - "But this is not the way it is with you; rather, the greatest one among you must be like the youngest, and the leader must be like the servant." Romans 12:2 - "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Observation: THE TERRITORY OF THE UNCRUCIFIED THOUGHT-LIFE IS THE BEACHHEAD OF SATANIC ASSAULT IN MY LIFE. TO DEFEAT THE DEVIL, I MUST BE RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF MY MIND! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  8. John 4:23-24 "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (It is our destiny to worship God in the spirit.) Galatians 5:25 "If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit." Ephesians 4:23-24 "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." (Put on the spirit man – you have to put it on – a decision.) Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." (Fruit of the spirit.) Romans 8:4-5 "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit." (Since I put on the spirit, I chose not to walk after the flesh or senses.) 1 Corinthians 2:13,15 "And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Holy Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language to those who possess the Holy Spirit. But the spiritual man tries all things, he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things, yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one, he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him." (We are to judge whether a thing is spiritual or of the senses – things coming at us everyday.) John 7:24 - "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (What am I participating in? Is it spiritual or not?) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. 1 Corinthians 2:10 - "For to us God revealed them through His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God." Because the Spirit "searches all things, even the depths of God", no one who is truly led by the Spirit will be shallow in their understanding. If we are led by the Spirit, we will love the truth enough to seek it out. We will be compelled to have a depth to our knowledge. Affirmation: THE SPIRIT ALSO WANTS TO MOVE IN ME TO SEARCH THE DEPTHS OF GOD. John 11:44 - "And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, 'Loose him, and let him go.'" Observation: I know that I can be raised from the dead spiritually and yet, still be bound. I can be saved by the power of Christ and yet, still be bound by the tight trappings of life. Isaiah 53:3 - "He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not." Affirmation: I OVERCOME REJECTION BECAUSE MY VISION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN APPROVAL. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. Romans 10:10 - "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." When you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord -- when you received Him as your savior -- that is call the "Great Confession." But if you do not know how to fight the good fight of faith -- how to stay in the faith fight until you win -- your confession becomes null, void, powerless, and of no use to you in this life. The Lord does not want us worrying about the future; He wants us to create it through the knowledge of His will for our lives (our DESTINY in Christ), through the proclamation of His Word – which is the "sword of the Spirit" (Ephesians 6:17) – and through our yieldedness to the power of the Holy Spirit. And then He promises, "Whoever believes in [Me] will not be disappointed" (Romans 10:11). He assures us, "All things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23). Let's break the bondage of a passive spirit. Let's take up the sword of the Spirit and embrace the fight of faith! QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: 1. What am I doing to fight the good fight of faith? 2. How does my confession become powerful? 3. What am I doing to build up my confession? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  11. Proverbs 20:27 - "The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord." Luke 17:20,21 - "The kingdom of God comes not with observation. For behold, the kingdom of God is within you." If we wait quietly before God and learn to turn the eyes of our soul to the inward parts of our being -- our spirits -- we will encounter Him in the deep levels, as that is where His Spirit dwells. Matthew 25:30 - "And cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Affirmation: THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GIVING ME WISDOM AND COURAGE TO STEP OUT AND BEGIN TO FULFILL THE DREAM HE AS BIRTHED SO DEEPLY INSIDE ME. Jude 22 - "And of some have compassion, making a difference." Affirmation: MY HEART RELEASES THE COMPASSION OF JESUS CHRIST TO HELP DELIVER PEOPLE CAUGHT IN THE DECEPTION OF SIN AND DARKNESS AND SET THEM FREE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  12. 1 Corinthians 6:17 "But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him." (His union with the believer is His union with the believer’s spirit.) 1 Corinthians 15:45 "So also it is written, 'The first Man, Adam, became a living soul.' The last Adam became a life-giving spirit." (The first man Adam was made a living soul, The last Adam was made a quickening Spirit.) Romans 6:5 - "For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection," (Where does this union come from? It is from our death and resurrection with the Lord. We receive His death as our death and the joining with Him in death as the beginning of our being joined to Him. Having died with Him, we also receive His resurrection as our own resurrection.) Romans 1:4 "And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:" 1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;" (The Lord Jesus was resurrected according to the Spirit of Holiness and made alive in the Spirit. Therefore we are joined to Him in resurrection. We die to all that belongs to ourselves and live to His Spirit.) Romans 7:4,6 "Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter." (The result of this union is the capacity to serve the Lord in ‘newness of spirit’. There is nothing of the natural self mixed in the living and work. From this time on the soul and the body are used only to express the Lord’s life and work. After the believer is joined to the resurrected Lord, the believer must daily keep ‘reckoning’ and ‘yielding’. The Lord then can pour out His life giving power into the believer's spirit.) Affirmations: I AM ONE SPIRIT WITH THE LORD. (1 Corinthians 6:17) THE HOLY SPIRIT BEARS WITNESS WITH MY SPIRIT, THAT I AM A CHILD OF GOD. (Romans 8:16) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  13. (The Spirit of Your Mind) The spirit of your mind, which is the soul, is not to be confused with the human spirit or the recreated spirit. The spirit of your mind reflects attitudes, desires and feelings which may or may not be in line with God’s will. Examples of sources: other people, Satan, circumstances, scripture. 2 Corinthians 12:18 - "I urged Titus to go, and I sent the brother with him. Titus did not take any advantage of you, did he? Did we not conduct ourselves IN THE SAME SPIRIT and walk in the same steps?" (‘in the same spirit’ – attitudes, motives.) 2 Corinthians 11:4 - "For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, OR YOU RECEIVE A DIFFERENT SPIRIT which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully." (‘or you receive a different spirit’ – through people or Satan or understanding.) Examples of "Spirit of Your Mind": 2 Corinthians 7:1 - "Therefore, having these promises, beloved, LET US CLEANSE OURSELVES from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 4:13 - "But having the same SPIRIT OF FAITH, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak," 1 Corinthians 2:12 - "Now we have received, not THE SPIRIT OF THE WORLD, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God," 2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God hath not given us the SPIRIT OF FEAR; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Affirmations: I AM RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF MY MIND; AND I PUT ON THE NEW MAN, WHICH WAS CREATED ACCORDING TO GOD, IN TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS.(Ephesians 4:23,24) WHEN I SPEAK I COMPARE SPIRITUAL THINGS WITH SPIRITUAL. (1 Corinthians 2:13) HE THAT IS SPIRITUAL JUDGES ALL THINGS. (1 Corinthians 2:15) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  14. The Three Parts of the Spirit – #2 Intuition Intuition is the consciousness within man’s spirit – it is direct and not dependant on anything else. We do not need the help of the mind, the emotion, or the will before we can have this knowledge. Through the intuition man can truly ‘know’ something while his mind can only make him understand it. All God’s revelation and all the moving of the Holy Spirit are known by the believers through the intuition. John 6:64 64“But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him. (Jesus knew from the beginning.) Mark 2:8 - Immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, said* to them, “Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts? (Jesus knew in his spirit.) Mark 8:12 - Sighing deeply in His spirit, He said*, “Why does this generation seek for a sign? Truly I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation.” (Sighing deeply in his spirit.) Acts 20:22 - And now, behold, compelled by the spirit, I am on my way to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there, (Compelled by the Spirit.) 1 Corinthians 2:11-12 - For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  15. Psalm 40:17 - "But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art, my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God." It is clear that king David was very rich, so far as worldly goods are concerened. The eyes of his inner man were not set on earthly wealth, so it was as though he really was poor -- poor in spirit, as the Lord would have us. Matthew 5:3 - "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven." Galatians 6:7,8 - "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Observation: He has revealed the endless crop of boredom I will harvest when I base my life on pleasure-seeking instead of sowing acts of goodness and love for a harvest of eternal life. Luke 21:31 - "But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you." Affirmations: I ASK THE LORD TO PROPEL ME INTO THE NEXT LEVEL OF MY GROWTH AND DESTINY. 16. Only spirit can serve Spirit. Romans 1:9 - "For God whom I serve in my spirit in the preaching of the gospel of His Son, is my witness as to how unceasingly I make mention of you." Romans 7:6 - "But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.. " Romans 12:11 - "Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;" Only spirit can know Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:9-12 - "But just as it is written, THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE THAT LOVE HIM. For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God." Only spirit can worship God who is spirit. John 4:23-24 - "But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Philippians 3:3 - "For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh." Only spirit can receive revelation from God who is spirit. Revelation 1:10 - "I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet."1 Corinthians 2:10 - "For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God." 17. Years ago I was in a place where i could focus on Christ and serving him only. I had been Praying in tongues a lot at the time and had a couple thoughts come to me like lightning. First every believer remembers that time, that place, maybe it was right after they got saved, where they knew when they got down on there knees they were right at the feet of Christ. No one could tell you otherwise. With almost no effort, you just KNEW when you prayed, or even as you just went about your day, You were right there, right at the feet of Christ. The question come to me, What if I could not only get back there, what if i could LIVE there. Live right there at the feet of Christ. Then another remrkable thought entered my heart. When I was speaking in tongues in my private prayer life since the holy spirit gave the utterance (words) why did it have to be in an unknown language? What is one language or another to GOD. If GOD could speak through me in a language I didn't understand and it could be all him, why couldn't he speak through me in english? A lot of verses come to me as I prayed and fasted over this. "when a child asks for a fish will you give him a serpent? A lot verses from the old and new testament about how the men and women of the bible never spoke there own opinion or traditions, or what someone taught them. not even there own conclusion, instead they spoke word for word what they heard and saw of GOD. I remember one person telling me this was dangerous, because how could I know who's voice i was hearing, who I was seeing. Then GOD took me to a verse that I didn't expect, Jesus said My sheep hear my voice, and another they WILL NOT FOLLOW. Tradition says you can't know for sure who's talking to you but jesus said HIS BELIEVERS, HIS SHEEP knew his voice and wouldn't follow another. It was possible to hear and know the voice of christ. But where to start? Then christ refocused me. leading me to John 17:3. It was about the relationship, it was about christ, I was to just focus on him. So thats what I did. Every prayer was just about seeking him, just christ. After awhile of just seeking christ and learning that at all times I had to be focused only on him, not power, anointing, position, recoginiton, just Christ. I begin to see a lot verses I had never heard preached or taught, like in one place it says, "and the holy spirit spoke and said seperate unto me paul and barnabus for the work of the minstry." "on the lord's day I was in the spirit". over and over I kept coming to that phrase, in the spirit, How could the holy spirit speak, what was being in the spirit? Walk in the spirit and you will not fullfill the lusts of the flesh. To whom you submit yourself that is your master. We all listen to someone or something. It could be our emotions, our flesh, our traditions, our opinions , we all follow something, what if we only spoke those things that the holy spirit told us to speak? What if I only did the things the holy spirit told me to do. It would require me to stay submitted to christ and not my own ego. It would mean every doctrine and belief I had that was not in line with the real doctrine of christ he would up end. was i ready for that? I decided i was that being close to christ was worth any sacrifice I had to make. As I have walked this road I've learned A few things, This is what the holy men and women of the bible did. This is what christ did. this was also what was wrong in most churches. People following there belief instead of following the leading of the Father and Christ through the Holy Spirit. When the Saints of the bible only spoke and did what they were told by GOD then the power and presence of GOD was always there, because it was not them doing any of it, it was GOD so only GOD deserved the credit, The glory. The final thing i will share that I learned was Faith comes by hearing hearing by the word of GOD. This is used to propmote pushing people to sit under and accept the doctrine of men. but let me share with you the way Christ shared it with me. Faith comes by hearing hearing by the word of GOD. The word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Now say that over and over a few times. Faith comes by hearing hearing by the word of GOD. The word was made flesh and dwelt among us.. Faith comes by hearing christ the word made flesh and the author and finisher of our faith. Not by hearing the opinions and doctrines and traditons of man. Through this experance, I've realized that most of our problems could be solved if we would stop doing what we think and believe is right and do as we are told by the Holy Spirit, If we would focus on Christ instead of everything else. There is a lot more to moving and operating in the spirit but i wanted to know what got others down this path. Walking and operating in the spirit is NOT taught very often. What parts of Walking In the spirit do you think are important that I haven't mentioned. This Doctrinal issue is the most untalked about, But the most important. Chrsit said Those who worship the father MUST WORSHIP him in SPIRIT AND TRUTH. Not flesh and emotion. We are not even worshiping GOD properly if we don't do it in Spirit and Truth. What got you looking at this. What got you seeking GOD for being in the spirit? wHAT PARTS OF Walking in the spirit have become apart of your every day life? Thank You and GOD Bless
