A more rational approach to UFOs is that our government is experimenting with new technology which is not commonly known about in the general public.

The government is more than willing to feed the alien spacecraft myth as it distracts people away from top secret experiments. That is why the government "censors" documents and tries to feed "explanations" they know that no one will believe and will foster more suspiscion that the US government is covering up the "truth" that we are being visited by extraterrestrial spacecrafts.

The conspiracy theories provide more fodder for the History Channel and A&E, but the truth is that we are not being visited by aliens, there are no alien spacecrafts and no, they are not demons.

There are thousands who have encounters with aliens and deliverance ministries that help people overcome these 'visitations'. To me, it makes a lot of sense that satan come up with a back up plan, so that when the rapture occurs, the headlines will read "mass alien abduction', rather than "the rapture has occurred". Especially, given that as we get closer to the rapture, the encounters increase like birth pangs,and Hollywood produces more junk to make the belief in aliens more plausible. Back in the 50's, few believed in life on other planets (like 10 percent or less). Today, it's much closer to 90 percent that believe. I'll try to find some actual stats.

Honestly, if the rapture occurred tomorrow, what do you think the media would most likely attribute a mass disappearance to?

None of that means that "UFOs" are demons in flying saucers.

I am not saying that demons have not played on the nysteria and have perhaps oppressed people into thinking there were aducted and so forth. But the government also has a vested interest in perpetuating the UFO hoax so as to deflect attention away from its experimental technology. Even our modern stealth fighter would have looked like an alien spacecraft 50 years ago. And it is actually built and designed off of the flying saucer.

50 years from now, technology that is being experimented with now and is suspected as "alien" will be commonplace.

but shiloh, this "new technology" has been going on for 50 years already! you mean to say the things people saw 40-50 years ago are the same things being seen today? i know the government is sometimes slow at things, but that's a stretch even for it!

No, that is not what I am saying. The stealth fighters we see today, didn't just happen in two or three years. It was in research and development long before it was ever public knowledge. Technology is fed to us piece meal. The technology for the CD player was avaiable decades before it was a household item, when back when the cassette "walk man" was all the rage.

The iPod technology was already available when CDs overtook the cassette player. Then came the DVD, then DVR. This technology was avaiable long before it was public knowledge. Now, every thing is going wireless

There is currently, still in the experimental stage, a "quantum" computer, which will basically be like a lap top, but in holographic form. It will be complete with monitor, keybord and mouse, and instead of lugging a laptop around in a briefcase or laptop carrier, you will just be able to simply pull a device out of your shirt pocket, place it on the table, flp it on and a virtual computer will appear before you. That could be the future of computers.

The best stuff is still years down the road. We have no idea what is in the making.

I'm not sure I agree with you that the technological advances of today have been kept secretive in the past. When I was in tech school 23 years ago, we were told about HDTV that would be coming. Also, Beta video tapes were all the rage, but we were tod VHS would make Beta obsolete.

I can understand that today's technology will be replaced by tomorrow's - that's a given. We are experiencing a 'boom in knowledge" - another prophetic occurance. But it's more of a marketing ploy to have us consumers to spend our money on the latest and newest toys.

No my version is based on rational thinking not wild-eyed alien/demon hysteria. To say that the government has top secret experiments that protects from public knowledge is not "conspiracy." It is general knowlegde. The government is not so stupid as to think that anyone is going to buy into their lame explanations like weather balloons, and such. They fully expect such explanations to gender suspiscion and they would much rather have people over aliens, demons, nephillim and other such nonsense and they are willing to feed that suspscicion if it keeps what they are really doing a secret.

This is why the government thinks the average American is just a gullible stooge. They will believe anything, no matter how far fetched or outlandish.

Sure, they feed us info about the nonsensitive stuff. I knew about CDs when you could still buy 8-track tapes. However, the government isn't forthcoming about everything and that is to be expected. Aircraft and weaponry experiments are not simply put out there for us to know about.
