Another one I got through e-mails:

****************************************************************

Worst president in history?

With all the bad news on TV and in the news magazines about Iraq and President Bush, I'm having a hard time keeping things in perspective. This helped me. Perhaps it will benefit you.

Worst president in history?

Liberals claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war. They complain about his prosecution, the death toll and other details of it. One liberal recently claimed Bush was the worst president in U.S. history.

Let's clear up one point: President Bush didn't start the war on terror. Try to remember, it was started by terrorists BEFORE 9/11.

Let's look at the 'worst' president and mismanagement claims.

FDR led us into World War II.

Germany never attacked us: Japan did.

>From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost,

an average of 112,500 per year.

Truman finished that war and started one in Korea.

North Korea never attacked us.

>From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost,

an average of 18,333 per year.

John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.

Vietnam never attacked us.

Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire.

>From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost,

an average of 5,800 per year.

Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.

Bosnia never attacked us.

He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter

three times by Sudan and did nothing.

Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.

Over 2,900 lives lost on 9/11/01.

In the two+ years since terrorists attacked us,

President Bush has liberated two countries,

crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida,

put nuclear inspectors in Lybia, Iran and North Korea

without firing a shot;

captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

We lost 600 soldiers, an average of 300 a year.

Bush did all this abroad while not allowing another terrorist attack at home.

Worst president in history? Come on!!

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but...

It took less time to take Iraq then it took

Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound.

That was a 51 day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq

for less time than it took Hillary Clinton

to find the Rose Law Firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines

to destroy the Medina Republican Guard

than it took Teddy Kennedy to call the police

after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq

than it took to count the votes in Florida!!!!

Our military is not perfect, but still the best around!!

Thanks, Neb, great post! The fact is, Saddam Hussein is no longer able to commit the atrocities he freely committed in the past. Period. Thanks to the guts of our leader who, in the face of severe criticism, did what needed done, that 17 UN resolutions didn't do, that no one else had the guts to do. And he's taking the heat for it like a man.

The fact is, enough serin and musturd gas has been found in Iraq to annihilate half a million people, and those half million people are now safe, thanks to the guts of our leader who, in the face of severe criticism, did what needed done, that the UN didn't have the guts to do. And he's taking the heat for it like a man.

IMO, the worst President ever was Teddy Roosevelt. All the social programs that now, decades later, enable people to skip that pesky thing - work - and live off of the working man were started by him. He taught the masses that one should expect a free hand-out when times are tough, and annihilated the work ethic. Years later, those same programs are draining the system and enabling generations of lazy people to believe they are 'entitled' to them.

He also showed great contempt for our Constitution by blatantly ignoring it and defying it in his policies. For interesting reading with documented facts about this, see G. Gordon Liddy's book entitled "When I was Young, America was Still Free".

Thanks Nebula, that really puts it in perspective. Personally I think Jimmy Carter was the worst president ever, and now he's the worst ex-president ever too!

While Bush may not be the worst president in history, he's quickly learning the American people are sick of being fed a line as an excuse to go to war. After 2 other wars that cost american lives the public is sensitive to losing troops. If the President can't find a reason to justify the war then he deserves to get voted out of office.

Unfortunately people in our government put him in office.

Please. That old argument has been deflated already. Time for a new one. :t2:

Leonard, just out of Curiosity what makes you think Jimmy Carter was the worst president ever?

Work in Progress:

Deflated how? It has been shown that Saddam was put in office by the CIA and other portions of our govenment. The evidence has been well documented. Not exactly something to be proud of, but ignoring that it happened is just as bad.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
