As prediced the Obama Administration has begun to use this unfortunate act of murder to Politicize this issue.

The AG of the United States has sought to order Federal Authorities to guard abortion clinics Nationwide. :taped:

The greater issue now will be how they use this to turn our Faith into terrorism and hate speech.

Paraphrasing; " We should never let a good emergency go to waste as a means to further a Political agenda."

I haven't read all of the posts in this thread, and let me say up front that murder is a sin - whether it be a person who kills a baby in the womb, or a person who kills that killer. This "doctor" now has no chance to repent of his sin and accept Christ. Just because he was an usher in a church does not mean he was a Christian -- his life did not bear the fruit of a Christian.

But one thing that has stood out to me is that a person went into a church and killed a killer, so now the Federal Government is guarding the abortion clinics to be sure that babies can still be murdered legally. BUT, not too long ago a man walked into a church and killed the preacher and our government didn't sent guards to all of the churches to protect us. Hmmmm......there is something very backwards about this.

Nathele

I always told people that the scariest verse in Holy Writ is, "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." Simply put, there comes a time where there is no more opportunity to repent.

Plus, the issues of life and death are God's and no one can unilaterally take another person's life, or even there own, if God does not consent to it . . . an that is not to say it is God's perfect will, but rather His permissive will.

Re 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

The fact remains that this man is dead with God's permission . . . even though if not with His approval.

I too think it is sick that abortion clinics may now be protected. But the day that we have to protect churches with armed guards is one day too long. God help us all, where are we going?

Isa 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

Somebody brought a gun to church? :taped: Someone brought a deadly weapon into the House of God and used it to KILL another parishioner while (supposedly) in the presence of Jesus Christ? ?

:blink::blink:

This is what amazes me, along with the fact that nobody here besides you picked up on it.

This place seems to be overrun with pharisees.

Judge righteous judgment . . . lest you too become one.

#1 - The doctor was wrong for performing abortions.

#2 - The church he attended was wrong for supporting him in this.

#3 - The gunman was wrong for stalking the man and murdering him.

What's the problem with this?

Good question.

The problem is that some have rejoiced in his death.

Rejoicing in his death? Isnt that what some folks in the muslim world did when the twin towers of the world trade center collapsed? Didnt they rejoice in death too?

There was a time when I wanted to rejoice in the death of someone who committed crimes. God worked my heart over and showed me how wrong that was, even though this person was also a murderer. Actually more than one person. They were all murderers. Rejoicing in anyones death is wrong. Especially the death of someone who shows the fruit of an unsaved person.

Actually, I believe it was expressed that they would rejoice over the lives of innocence that would not be taken by his hand now . . . that's different.

Amen Jade, amen. If you read my posts on this thread you will see that I agree with you. All of the incident, from day one to the tragic finality was wrong, and we should not be rejoicing, we should be weeping.

I suspect Jesus is.

Blessings

I do not necessarily believe "we should be weeping." I mean it sounds nice, but this man was an enemy of the truth and the message of the gospel. Regret maybe, but weeping? I cannot.

Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

I sat in classroom once and was asked by one of the students if I believed a practicing prostitute would be allowed to become a member of my church and remain in her "profession". I turned to the young man and clearly said no. In order to become a member one must profess salvation. Well to say the least this young man shot me daggers each time he saw me, but I remained firm in my belief that sin is not something to be tolerated by the church but set free from. Yes, I do believe the prostitute he spoke of should be allowed to come to church and be shown all the love we can shower on anyone! Our God loves everyone and He is ready to save all who call upon His name.

I said that to reply about this doctor just killed in church. This man was not just coming to church services. He was a KNOWN trimester abortionist who was allowed to be an usher in the house of God. Anyone in any kind of position in the church needs to be saved! No one can convince me that people who knowingly practice sin openly and justify their actions is saved, sanctified and to put it as the Lord does in His word, born again. We are not helping anyone by condoning their behaviour. If we tolerate such brazen sin in the church, how are we helping that person be set free?

I was astonished that this doctor was not just shot in the church...that is something that has happened before, no, I was astonished that he was an Usher.

Probably a good tither . . . why else was he accepted?

There is no problem with that. I think the problem lies in statements of....I'm glad he (the abortion doctor) is dead.

Just as our Lord said...Because iniquity abounds the love of many wax cold.

A statement like that proves a love that is growing increasingly cold.

That is an assumption on your part. To rejoice over the death of a wolf because the sheep are now safer is not a sign of love waxing cold.

If God is angry with the wicked every day, why is it expected that saints should not be? This man was not ignorant . . . he saw the little bodies as he ended their life for gain.

Shame on those who weep for those whom God has no tears.

Le 10:1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.

2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.

4 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

5 So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Moses had said.

6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

Jer 16:5 For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies.

Eze 24:16 Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down.

17 Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of men.

Call me a Pharisee if it makes you feel better, but I will shed no tears for this man.

What am I assuming? When one says they are glad that someone else is dead they are rejoicing. The man was taking lives thru abortion...iniquity. A statement like this proves what the Lord says . . .

See your words above . . .

. . . and frankly your justification of such a statement falls in the same lines.

An there's another opinion . . . oh wait, I mean judgment made on your part.

If you wish to refute what I say fine, feel free, as I have stated my position with scripture elsewhere as well. But is all you have to add is your judgmental assumption of others and my position then do not be surprise if your own words seem to have little merit.

See your words above . . .

Brother, these are our Lords words. Yet, you desire to dispute what He said, by saying I'm placing an assumption to it. I dont know how else He could have said it, but to me it is pretty clear. Once again a statement like..."I'm glad he is dead" falls in line with exactly what our Lord said. Take it how you want, accuse me how you like, they are not my words.

Excuse me, but where did the Lord say, "A statement like that proves a love that is growing increasingly cold."

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
