Right now I kinda feel like I'm falling apart, but I'm so numb I can't tell. I've got a blank slate in front of me that I can fill with God. New opportunities and paths. But I just feel like parts of me are crumbling away and I can't tangibly feel it. Like when you're all numbed up at the dentist, and you know he's drilling holes in you, but you can't feel it in a physical sense.

What am I to do?

What am I to do?

Well first off, keep your relationship with Christ at the forefront of your mind. Stay in the Word, and stay in prayer.

Is part of this because you just broke up with your girlfriend? I don't mean to pry, just asking, because I know it's very recent, and things like this often have a devastating effect on ones life. It has happened to me before. The good thing is, one does heal, and although it often looks like things will never get better, they eventually do. Hang in there, it will get better. I know it doesn't seem like it will, but it really will.

I think that incident has a large part. I've always kept emotions deep inside and rarely let them out when I get into a really hurtful situation. I don't think I've even realized what's happened yet.

Ask the Lord to harden your heart to the emotions associated with the break up. Not toward her, just the feelings. Every time you feel those heart strings being tugged, ask Him to take those feelings away.

Harbor no animosity within you. Let her go. Pray for her.

The Lord is your only refuge. He will see you through this. It'll take time before things get back to normal. Let the Lord carry the things you aren't able too.

If He did it for me, I know He'll do it for you.

The pruning process can be painful. Do not be discouraged, my friend. Instead, be grateful that He loves you enough to do the pruning!

I think this is partially because you feel obligated to keep your distance, when in fact, you don't have to! She's always going to be there for you as a sister in Christ and a best friend. Or at least a close friend. It could be a little awkward, but only if you make it awkward. It doesn't have to be that way at all.

And OneLight, that is very insensitive and ignorant for you to say such a thing about her. God did not 'prune' him of her.

Well, pezzaroo, it may seem that way to you, but it is the truth. Pruning is something that happens all the time when a change is made. May I suggest you take some time and study what pruning is, and not be so fast to call people names. Poke knows me well enough to know that I would not suggest anything to him that is not true. Too bad you are so quick to judge. Maybe once you are here long enough to know me, you will know that I speak out of love, not unjustly, as you seem to.

May His peace be with you.

What am I to do?

Pray long and hard - God will listen to your prayers even if they are just weeping or noises... He will help you too if you stick in there and try to use a horrible situation for His glory.

Pray that when you do start feeling, that God, by His grace, will take away all your pain and anguish as you start trusting more in Him. It's a good idea to start praying now, while you are not bound up in emotions.

As everyone else has said, this time will pass - Some day you will think back on it - For now you can use the opportunity to come closer to God, trust in Christ and try to live for Him in this hard time so that God will be honoured in your life.

Keep in there! Praying for you.

I believe what OneLight was saying about "prune" was ...Some of our growth may be slow and painful as Jesus prunes and trains us to yield to Him. Which is correct.

See Jesus has a picture of what He sees in us. We cannot grow on our own. We grow when Jesus shows us His love, He softens and warms our hearts. He tends to our needs and feeds our souls. Our spirit lean towards His spirit. Hope this is helpful.

blessings,

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
