but by biblical definition, hinn IS a false prophet. that part is absolutely undeniable. and since scripture gives very clear definitions of what a false prophet is,

Do tell.

If Benny Hinn has given a false prophesy, then welcome to the pentecostal church. False prophesies have abounded far and wide across its broad and varied face for as long as I've been watching. And from many genuine people.

That's why it's so important to 'test the spirits'.

There's a difference between someone who deliberatly leads others astray and someone who makes a mistake. If we're going to stone people for mistakes, then there wouldn't be many prophets left in the body of christ today. And you're going to be facing before Gods throne one day, every one of his children that you throw stones at, so you'd better be in the right.

Particularly since the words says that 'as we judge, so shall we be judged. And with the same measure that we pour out, it shall be poured back to us.' That means everybody.

thanks tah :24: - I just wanted to add, also, that someone might mistakenly accuse a person of using the power of satan to heal someone, and Satan certainly does masquerade as a 'healer' to suck people in (as Fez very rightly said.) However when someone doesn't bother to check, and just brands one of Gods servants as doing the above, it's a pretty dangerous thing to do.

God can forgive a genuine mistake. But sometimes people prefer to accuse because they don't want to believe. That has serious consequences. The pharisees would have known that Jesus was healing through the power of God, but he threatened their comfort zones so they chose to accuse him instead.

When you deliberatly accuse a genuine christian of healing through the power of Satan because you don't want to admit the truth, how can God trust you with eternity?

Genuinely deceived -

2Ti 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving,
and being deceived.

2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their work.

Ga 2:6 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me.

Dont know about benny hinn but there are people who have a gift so to speak to ease physical pain of others. Just like some are good in certain sports whilst others are good in playing musical instruments. It cannot be teached but it can be inherited. The ones that ease the pain best are very devouted christians and do use this gift with reluctance ,almost afraid to use it. They do not cure, they only ease the pain.

My wife is a devouted christian but on every occasion she feels the pain of somebody suffering (physical pain) she puts her hand on the suffering point ,the pain eases up.Herself believes it is a sin in what she is doing as God and Jesus can do this, therefore is ask forgivness and next day she goes to mass.

Blessings

PS. I might also add, that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, according to the context in which it was mentioned, was accusing people who healed through the Holy Spirit as healing through the power of Satan.

Testing the spirits is wise - but you want to be really careful about who you accuse of being a false prophet.

There is much proof, according to the Word.

Well as I said. Be prepared to be stoned with the stones you throw. And as far as blasphemy of the spirit goes - the above is my interpretation of the passage, and on face value I can't see how it could be interpreted any other way, but perhaps it's in the context of deliberate, consistent sin.

I don't know - and God is the final judge. (But it isn't an area that I would be careless about messing with.)

Many years ago I went with a friend to a Benny Hinn revival. I have never been so shocked and amazed by what I saw. This man was growling, ranting and cursing and acting as though he was possessed by something other than the Holy Spirit. My friend and I abruptly left. Since that time I have kept tabs on his "career" and I can only say that I have been quite concerned by some of his statements, behavior, etc. You have but to type his name into any search engine on the internet and find many other Christians who have experienced the same concern. I think his 'ministry' is somewhat troubling - at least IMO.

Please do not assume we are "careless" either . . . .

If you "don't know" then of course you are not capable of marking them as false prophets. But God has given us His word so we can judge them.

You mean "mistakes", plural, right? If any prophecy does not come true, for any reason, then the giver is false. The Bible gives us guidelines on how to judge whether a prophet is of God or not. That is the standard that is being used to judge this man's veracity. As well all in the ministries who have similar results.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
