I find that every time I read or reread a passage, I find more meaning to it in my walk as a growing Christian. I feel I am forever growing and it just keeps making more and more sense the more I read it as if the Lord keeps opening my eyes more and more. Its amazing how much He has revealed to me. I find it facsinating and the most amazing journey, ever! As I have grown from a new, baby Christian up until now, everythinged has changed.

I used to try and read it before I was saved and before I went to church to hear/learn the word and I was always so lost. It didn't make sense, I have studied much and I feel like such a strong Christian now, like the more I have learned, the less and less likely it is for me to backslide. Now, I don't think I ever will because I just know too much now!!!

It's exciting!

Blessings, Chiquita

The biggest change that occurred in my life after I read the Bible came about because I took what Jesus said literally. I was awe struck at His words. I repented of my sins, and immediately began telling others about Him, and many of my friends and family members I had no longer wanted anything to do with me, and shunning and persecution from them began immediately. I discovered in the process of losing friends and family members that Jesus is true to His Word and sticks closer than a brother.

'mjrhealth' date='Aug 11 2009,

the bible is not a living book, it has dried ink staining some pages, Did not Jesus say, "The words that I speak they are Life?" The bible cannot bring you life only Jesus can.

It seems that you are talking out both sides of your mouth in your reply and you are not even aware of it. Romans 1:17--For I am not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation

John 14:6--Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 1:1-5--And in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God....vs 2)

The same was in the beginning with God.....vs 3) All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.....vs 4) In him was life; and the life was the light of men.....vs 5) And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

If there were no life in the words of God then "No Thing" in this world would have life within it, every thing would be dead. But there is life in the human race, the animals, life plants, life in the sea, life in the birds that fly above, all life came from God speaking it into existance. God spoke life in the beginning and that life has reached even to us today. That Word is Jesus

Matthew 4:4--But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Deuteronomy 8:3--And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

We have a fleshly body that needs food to sustain itself stop eating, and you'll eventually die. But it is the same with the spiritual man or the inner man the Spirit it has to have spiritual food in order to sustain itself or our spiritual life will begin to dwendel away. We must stay in the word the bible being the will of God to us as this will, will keep our spirits strong built up in the faith keeping our fleshly body weak the bible teaches us how to live right in the eyes of the Lord.

2 Peter 1:3--11--(a must read) vs. 10) Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, Ye Shall Never Fall:

Jesus said: Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they which testify of me.

For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

By Jesus' own words, the Holy Scriptures testify of Him.

Jesus is The Living Word

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
