A Swedish court has sentenced Ake Green, a pastor belonging to the Pentecostal movement, to a month in prison, under a law against incitement, after he was found guilty of having offended homosexuals in a sermon, according to Ecumenical News International.

Green had described homosexuality as "abnormal, a horrible cancerous tumor in the body of society" in a 2003 sermon.

Soren Andersson, the president of the Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender rights, said on hearing Green's jail sentence that religious freedom could never be used as a reason to offend people.

I agree BigJer. Much prayer and supplication. One thing the devil wants to silence, twist or take out of context is the Word of God. That is one big reason we need to take the Lord at His word and not lean unto our own understanding about everything. Much of the church today can't even agree on what sound doctrine is?

Man's opinion and attempt at private interpretation of the Word of God has led some to fall into the snare of the devil and allow homosexual's to preach, teach and lead when they really need to repent and come out from the world.

Heavenly Father, help us to guard well our hearts and walk holy before You. In Jesus name, amen.

I think it's just a symptom of the churches condition, and I dont know if the genie is going back into the bottle.

I think our future is destined for persecution yet God might allow us a window of time for an awakening if we heed the call and rise to the occasion.

Agreed. It is the natural tendency of man to spiral downward. Sinful acts become accepted as the norm, excusing the act or out right denial of sin.... just like homosexuality today. Then those who stand by scripture will be condemned for their stand.

God intervenes occasionally to lift us up again. PRAISE GOD!!! He stirs within the hearts of man and makes a long-lasting difference. Revival has happened througout the history of the church. I hope we are ready for another one, unless Jesus takes us home first.

The legislation to define a Marriage between a man and a woman that is currently in the Senate . Up for a vote this coming week. Looks doomed to fail. The Liberals and Democrats have made a deal with the homosexual lobby for votes and cash for the upcoming election. If this fails? The homosexual lobby and the ACLU will go on a more massive scale to have every State in the Union under suit. So that a Federal Judge in each case will overturn current Laws. This is no joke. It is a serious massive offensive on Marriage, the Family, and Judeo/Christian beliefs.

My own home State of Maryland has been sued this week. It looks like here as well a Federal or State Judge will overturn Laws on the books for a century or more. The local States Attorney here has said he will stand on the Law and proceed against this suit. Although he doesn't believe it is right??????? I don't know how you defend something you don't believe in???? This is what we are up against though.

Please do not lay down your swords! This is an assault right form the pits of hell. It is designed to destroy Mariiage and the bedrock of our Nation. It is no joke.

The amendment in the Senate is soon to be followed by another bill. One that is for War appropriations. Attached to that bill is another more incidious and odieous bill as a rider. It is one that spells out hate crimes. One of the hate crimes consists of speach against Homosexuals.

Maybe not today? But soon and in a Church near you or maybe your own? They may lock up someone dear to you for speaking against Homosexual Marriage?

Please call your State and Federal represenatives. Make them accountable. Tell them the Lord requires them to vote yes on the Federal Marriage Amendment act. Tell your State reps to stand on the Truth when the attack comes to your home State. Tell them they are accountable to the Lord. To the Nation and to your very own children and grandchildren for the mess they are gonna make of our society.

Dr. Dobson has a very good book out showing what has happened in the last 10 years with this abomination and how it has messed up some European country's. Also plenty of Biblical Truths showing why this is wrong and needs to be addressed.

Freedom requires responsibility.

Freedom is a Judeo/Christian thought. We are endowed with such by our Creator. Although His Law supercedes those of our own. No Morality, no Law.

No one is saying Homosexuals can't sin. They have that God given free will. That is not what this is about. It is about destroying the foundations of our society. The underpinnings. To get at our children. Those who haven't already been slain by abortion or bound by the enemy and a culture run rampant? Will be finished off by this assault. It will be legal and safe to then publish childrens instructional books. Showing that Homosexual unions are safe to be practiced and rather normal. This will further erode the sanctity of Marriage as defined by God! That's right God ordained and God sanctioned.

A society where this stuff is looked upon as normal? Will not long last as this becomes a viable otion for teens already struggling with peers, the enemy, drugs, the wrong message thrown in their face daily. Do you not see the enemy's plan to destroy a society? Do you not see the designs on the children? The enemy is even clever enough to call it hate. Has God really said? What is He hiding from you anyway? You know all that talk about God being perfect Love? What kinda Love would cast off someone for being mistaken? Has God relly said , not to eat from that tree?

Wake up please? Before we have no Freedom left? The Israelites didn't want to repent either. They were happy to have Homosexual bath houses around the corner from the Temple. They were talking about THEIR Freedom too. Until a Babylonian came and put a fish hook in their nose???? Get this THEIR Freedom???? Who gave them Freedom to begin with? Did they earn it or deserve it? Who delivered them from Egypt? Who ,Who, Who gave this Nation Freedom? What is it based upon?

This is not about hating Homosexuals. It is about a nod and a wink to sin as long as it isn't effecting me. We are about to hand over another handful of our society to the enemy even before they are born with a nod and a wink. Not on my watch! Not my Children and Grandchildren!

Here is a sword and a shield. Come home yielding them or carried on them? Last stand time folks. Lose this one and lose the Nation and our youth. There is still time the Lord is on His Throne. :il:

:il: I so agree with Dr. Luke......I have signed petitions and sent letters...I hope my small bit helps somewhat.

I can't believe it is a crime....who was it Larry Flint I think that went to court so many times over his right to "free speech" and "freedom of expression".....for a totatly immoral magazine. He won. Now my question is when a pastor is up at his podium...why can't he/she have free speech? Whats gonna happen to the "Freedom of Speech?"

It is sad times...
