I know some people that will argue that Revelation is history. That it has already happened. I for one believe that Revelation is a picture of the things that God has planned out for the future. After He comes and gets His children. What are your thoughts?

I have just started to study Revelation. I love to read all about the Second Coming of Christ. It is so interesting to me. All the prophecies have been fulfilled...God could rapture His church at any moment. It's crazy to think that the next time you blink, you could be in Heaven!! Things like that just blow my mind. It just makes me live each day to it's fullest, each day more and more for the love of God. Revelations talks all about the tribulation and judgements. I love reading all the vivid images. Are the scriptures methaphoric? or are they telling of what will really happen? God has so many plans for our lives, so many blessing, answers to all our prayers. All He wants us to do is live each day in Him.

The Book of Revelation is a book of prophecy not history.

Well, I think there is a little bit of history but mostly it's prophecy.

I know after reading and studing Revelation that I do not want to be one of the ones left behind. Praise God that I will be raptured out of here before then. There is going to be more missery than the world has ever known.

I think you should look over the rapture scriptures again. The secret rapture must be so secret that God didn't mention it in scripture. I would call it an "interpretive theory" but I don't see any support for it in scripture without the abstract thinking of trying to make a theory fit. Forget about what you have been taught and read the scriptures to see what they say without all the conjecture and imaginings thrown in.

Revelations is future. The reason the rapture is not mentioned in revelations is that it is about the tribulation and the rapture has already happened at this point. There is no scriptual indications how long after the rapture that the tribulation begins. In Matthew 24:40 and 41 people are going about there business as usual and one is taken the other is left. This is talking about the rapture. Of course this is just my wondering mind. I just figured the rapture wasn't mentioned because it happened before. On this I could be completely wrong.

Love in Christ

Revelation is becoming more interesting to me.

REvelation 7 talks about those who came out of the great tribulation (verse 14).

Rev 12:17 - the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with those who kept the commandment of God, and have the testimony of Jesus.

Revelation 13 talks about a war with the saints (verse 7)and the beast was given power over all kindreds, and tongues and nations and all that dwelt on the earth worshipped the beast/dragon.

I'm not convinced that a "rapture" will occur that will lift us out of this war.  What we do know and have been warned about is in Rev 13:18 - and that is that the number of the beast is the number of man which is Six hundred threescore and six (666).

Also in Rev 2);4 - there is a profile of those who will live and reign with Christ for a thousand years.  If we want to survive the judgement in verse 14, we need to fit this profile.

Vs 9 - says that Satan compassed the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but a fire consumed the devil.

After this is a great white throne where all stood before God.  All the dead were delivered up to stand before this

throne.  They were all judged.  Then after this, death and #### were cast into the lake and fire.  WOWWWWWWWWW.

This must therefore ALL BE PROPHETIC, because we still have death and the fear of ####.  OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD, HE REIGNS FROM HEAVEN ABOVE, WITH WISDOM, POWER AND LOVE OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD.  Sing it...

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
