Well, CBE, He told me to come to this site and I invited others (commonly referred to as "that little group"). Strange reception we've received . . . one accusation after another, from having an "agenda" to being Satanic Infiltrators, LOL. But, I still trust God has a plan. He does work in strange ways at times. And as OneLight wrote yesterday: for me, there is a lesson in everything I come across, even if I don't like what I see.

God Bless You, Dear CBE~

Gentlewind

I thought the Satanic infiltrator accusation was possibly directed against me and one or two others - but certainly nor you or any other newer poster. It shows you what general accusations about Satanic infiltration can do when no names are mentioned - everyone jumps to the conclusion "He's talking about me", and it also shows how such accusations can cause a great deal of harm to Christian Forums such as this one and in the long run do exactly what Satan wants. Talk about Satanic infiltration! I think that we should act like the apostles taught us if we become offended by someone on the boards - PM him/her privately. If he doesn't accept, take 2 or 3 witnesses, and if he doesn't accept, take him to the Mods, and if he still doesn't accept, simply put him on "ignore". But most people are a little too lazy to follow that long "grievance procedure", so I may as well have said nothing about that

 ... I am guilty of arguing over semantics more then not. If we ask if what others use as descriptive words have the same meaning as the wording that we use, then there can be an understand. If we only see words as different then our own, assuming a different meaning due to how we read it, contention can rise. I know that in myself, the enemy loves to prick me in the side with how someone words things different then how I word them, even if the only difference is only in wording while the meaning behind it is the same.

Sorry, OneLight, but I'm not understanding what your point is.

Greetings, OneLight, in the name of our Lord Jesus!

I have had a few audible things told to me by the Holy Spirit, and I will share one with you:

"Follow your joy, and you will know heaven."

Joy, true joy, only comes from God. Let us all follow our joy. Amen?

29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:29-30

The Lord's word is true.

When the joy we feel is of the Lord, then we are blessed. What you have said is a nice saying, but is not scriptural. I cannot find one place in scripture that tells us to follow our joy. We read in John, these words of Christ.

John 15:10-12

If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father

Learning to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit is not an easy task. It took me quite a few years to learn how to hear His voice.

EVERYBODY HEARS THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

That's his job, and it's not restricted to those who have "learned how" to listen.

This would be counterproductive.

Before I accepted the Lord into my life, I heard him every night as my head hit the pillow. Saying just the right things that I needed to hear to bring me to the Lord. And to convict me for my sins.

The holy spirit is not exclusive to Christians. He talks to everybody, and everybody can hear him. Some choose to ignore him. But they can't turn him off.

If you had a problem with hearing The Holy Spirit, it's because you were ignoring him.

To all those prospective Christians out there reading this, let me say this... EVERY SINGLE PART OF THE CHRISTIAN EXPERIENCE IS AVAILABLE TO YOU. THERE IS NO EXCLUSIVITY. So come, join us.

I don't believe I have welcomed you yet so Welcome to Worthy!

Part of the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict people of their sins, be it the saved or the unsaved. Yet, not everyone recognizes Him when He convicts. They have deadened their hearing for one reason or another. You may be someone who recognized His convictions, which is great, but not everyone comes to the Lord in the same way.

To assume that this is what nikki is saying is reading her words different then how I read them. She is speaking of her personal experience and is not saying what you claim she is. You need to be careful reading into someone's words. It is not counter productive to learn how to recognize His leading better. As we grow closer to God we recognize Him more and more.

Scripture does tell us that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given individually to those whom He wills, so everything about Christianity can not be experienced by all. We are not all called to the same ministry, hold the same office or have the same gift.

1 Corinthians 12:11 --- "But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills."

Great testimony!

I agree the conscience can be used by the Holy Spirit. There are those here, however, who may disagree.

14For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

16In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. Romans 2:14-16

God can, does and will use all things to bring us to Him! Let us go willingly!

When people talk about the leading of the Holy Spirit, some say that they hear an inner voice, others say they are moved in the spirit, others might say that He brought scripture back to memory. We all describe this in different ways, but mean the same thing. If one "hears voices" as in an audible voice, then concern is warranted.

I was just trying to point out that sometimes we are saying the same thing, in a different way.

But how do you discern which thoughts are the Lord and which are not?

And please don't say, "If you" or "when you" like before.

How do you make the determinition?

How do you personally discern or know that a thought is not yourself, not from the devil/a demon, etc.?

Satan comes as an angel of light, you know.

Oh, OK.

(In my post I was actually posting in regards to . . . other things . . . not necessarily the OP.)

OneLight,

I hope you don't mind. One of your sentences reminded me of a saying that I think is funny. I hope you enjoy it.

If one "hears voices" as in an audible voice, then concern is warranted.

When man talks to God it is called prayer. When God talks to man it is called schizophrenia.

LOL, you like?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
