I was brought up with a bit of anti-semitism. Not sure where it stemmed from but after being here among Jewish believers and knowing what I know now, my view of them has changed. I have this forum to thank for opening my eyes and exposing me to the lies of the devil. As long as there remains division between Jews and Christians, the devil reigns. But no more with me. I love all God's children!!

We are living in a day where that is changing everywhere (hallelujah!) but there are still streams of theological humanism to overcome.

I was raised with many Jewish friends. In NYC, where I'm originally from, anti-Semitism is not too blatant, but it's there. When I met my husband's friends who happened to be Irish-Americans, I was asked in seriousness if it was true that Jews had horns. I was blown away. But I believe much of the hatred/envy stems from outsiders views of Jewish culture, which is very different from most. Some dress differently, wear their hair differently, even sound different. This, plus the ancient prejudices still yield subtle, but definite, animosity against Jews. I wish people would learn more about Jewish people; I think they would appreciate the richness of their culture.

There is nothing more irritating to me that anti-semitism. Some messed up people say they are the spawn of Eve and Satan, and it takes everything I have not to hurt them.

Others say that they are raised to know how to abuse the capitalist system; sort of a cultural thing. Conspiracy theories abound about them controlling Hollywood, too.

I find it rather amusing that many Arab nations and certain peoples in Iraq are, in fact, Semitic. Just a thought.
