I wonder......why aren't the pastor's practically "screaming" it from the pulpits?  At least, discussing it?  It seems like we're sorta "on the edge of somthing here"  like, all of us (and probably lots of others) discussing this, are in the calm(if you could call it that) before the storm, so to speak....it's almost that kind of tense anticipation.  Maybe it's just me

Laodicea is all I can figure.  People are not interested in these signs.  I get the doomsday roll of the eyes, the "the world's been gonna end since I was a kid" speech.  Hey, let the blind lead the blind, at least we're watching and warning. :thumb:

Yep~  I know that we (the ones discussing these topics on worthy boards) are looking up!!!!  I know I am for sure!!!!  I just can't believe, though, that some pastors aren't at least saying somthing....because I know that they must know some of this stuff....at least I know a few who do!  Maybe we need to be speaking out too!  I know what you mean about the roll the eyes thing.  My family thinks I'm a fanatic and I can't even mention it to my sister.   But........I don't want people to be caught not ready either! :???:   It just seems so plain to me.....the pastor's are the ones that have schooling for this and they know the Bible inside and out......well, I know some do, anyway. :noidea:

What did you think of the President's speach Tuesday night?  I keep hearing people complaining, but, I must say....I think it was informative and he seems to have a point about Iraq.  The US is kinda "in between a rock and a hard place" I agree that an attack on I raq should be last resort after another inspections request and so on but....I don't think the President would say the concerns he had on live television if there wasn't a very real and prominent threat!  Usually the government tries to "sugar-coat" things to not create a panic.  This time....The President seems a bit shaken up.  That alone is freaky. I'm glad we are on this side of grace!!!!!! :thumb:     God is good!

I'm ashamed to admit I missed the president's speech.  We are in the process of moving and I've been packing and anyways, my kids hog the TV. :noidea:   I support President Bush 100% and keep him in prayer.  I believe there is a real threat but I know God has it all figured out and I'm gonna keep looking up! :inlove:

Ladies and Gentelmen I live right here where these shootings are takin place. I'm a little north at the end of Montgomery county close to Frederick. My parents and some members of my family still live right where it started. Aspen Hill is a place I used to ride my bike and go to the hobby shop to pick up slot cars. I used to, on Saturday nights, drive thru Aspen Hill and fill up with gas at the station where that man was shot pumping his gas. My biggest fear is its probably someone  from that neighborhood where I grew up. My Father has already theorized this, as this is where the shootings started all within a mile of eachother. This villian is slick. The Capitol Beltway and I-270 access is all around there. He could shoot and jump on a freeway and be gone instantly. I'm watching this intently because I have two small children. Both go to school. This nut is expanding the perimeter so as not to be caught. I'm afraid he will come north next. He would truly have to be crazy to come to my town though as something like 75% of all the Montgomery County cops live here.

Ditto the rollin the eyes thing. I get it all the time. I think it's from unbelief and also people are optimists. They just don't want to see the truth and are scared. They also fear the unknown. Fear is the biggest thing. I have this thought though. It goes like this: We are the ones who these people will turn to when these events begin to unfold. They will remember what we've said and turn to us . Just like the  story inGenesis41 The Chief Butler remembered Joseph in time of need. Hopefully we won't have been Raptured yet so as to make it too late. Peace Guy's. :noidea:

The problem here is that people in general are so caught up in their own worlds they don't truly see the world perspective. Even pastors have difficulty connecting all of this when they have children, a wife, and a congregation to look after. Christian radio in my area is right on top of it, but my pastor who also has a spot on every night must not be listening to other commentators because he refers to the end times as all that doom and gloom. He's a great pastor for understanding the teachings of Christ, but misses it on passing on the heads up.

The general public on the other hand is more interested in how the stock market is doing. Not because of how it affects the economy as a whole but how it affects them personally. I do believe there is a reason that there are those of us that see the signs of the times clearly. Possibly when the events of the middle east blow up in our faces and seriously effects things here in the states people will begin to listen. For some reason we all have been drawn to study the end times and to pay almost an obsessive attention to world events. God chooses each of his vessels for his own purposes and I have a feeling He doesn't do that in our formal manner just because someone is a pastor. We all know how we are part of a bigger whole called the body of Christ. I believe that when the time comes we will all work efficiently together pastors and lay people to bring about the glory of God.

Love in Christ

Hello shilou,

Glad you could join us. I know what you mean too. My pastor doesn't do much preachin' on the end times at all either. It seems like maybe once a year or so, and when he does, he doesn't go very deep. I get the feeling he is holding back for fear of not telling it all exactly the way it will really happen. But heck, all these prophecies are just part of the mystery. I don't think there is a man alive that has all the answers. I believe you are right. God chooses His vessels and shares the wealth. I can say for sure, with me anyway, that God shows me some things, but a lot of things He chooses not to show me, so I end up with things that probably will happen and things that I believe may happen. We can easily see the end of things to come, but how we get there is the tricky part.

I mainly go for the worship and fellowship, and so I can pay my tithe. I need the worship above all, so I can get re-energized for the week ahead. Life is just too hard when I don't get my cup filled back up and everything seems to unravel. Most of the time, my pastor is preachin' the salvation message, which is good, but for folks like us that have already been saved for a while, we come out feeling like we are still hungry for some meat. Sometimes though, I feel like I shouldn't need someone to feed me anymore, because I'm not a babe anymore. I'm getting my own meat and feeding the new babes.

I know the most important thing we can do is take care of our own flock first. I have four kids and I started feeding them when they were about six years old and I wish I would have gotten started at such an early age. I was a babe at thirty. But I also know that God told me I was going to write, which is another story itself. But it is also great to come to the forum and be able to help someone gain some understanding of whatever they are hungry for, and I also learn from others too.

I don't know too many friends that have a lot of knowledge on prophecy, so it is great to come here and make new friends, and then we can all share and learn together. So what if we don't know each other personally. I believe we will know each other when we get there, and the old saints that are already there, I think they already know who we are, and that we will be joining them soon. Check this verse out:

1 Corr. 13:12 - "Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror (the new ones are much better); then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known (now)." (emphasis mine)

I believe we will know who Jesus is when we see Him, and the same goes for King David, Abraham and everyone....... And they will know us too. Isn't that awesome???

Thunder can you image being able to talk to all the old testament saints, and asking them about the events we have read about in scripture. That will be amazing. Peace, but not  yet.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
