That said, your statement rings true to me. With America gone, true liberty will be gone as well, including the liberty to freely worship as one sees fit.

I don't agree with this statement, and feel it is a bit prideful? Patriotism aside, what makes you think that there are not many countries that would not tolerate the abrogation of the right to free worship or the pursuit of liberty?

Fez, isSouth Africa a Christian nation? YES Or a socialist one? NO Do you have speech codes? YES written into law. Can you own a gun or other weapon? YES I own a firearm. i HAVE A FRIEND WHO IS A COLLECTOR WHO HAS 2000!. Can you openly speak out against your government without fear of arrest and imprisonment? YES If you are pursuing liberty my brother, that means you have not attained it yet. DO A SEARCH - WE HAVE ONE OF THE MOST FREE CONSTITUTIONS IN THE WORLD - LAUDED BY THE FREE WORLD WHEN IT WAS WRITTEN In America, WE HAVE IT, at least for now. But there are those forces which are attempting harder than ever to take it from us. America is the last of the great Christian nations. :24:NO IT IS NOT. THERE ARE MANY OTHERS. ONE OF THEM IS OURS. AND YOUR POST WOULD MAKE ONE WONDER AS TO THE VERACITY OF THAT STATEMENT :) . The tenets of Christianity which Americas was founded upon are being eroded faster and faster by the rising floodwaters of humanist Magogism. SOUTH AFRICA, IF YOU KNOW YOUR HISTORY WAS FOUNDED ON CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES - OUTDATED AND STAID AT THE TIME YES, BUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES THEY WERE.

America must fall (in the eyes of the humanist/Magogist) because she adheres to Christian principles even yet and stands in the way of Magog's march. When America is gone or relegated to obscurity in the course of world affairs, her influence will no longer be there and Magogism will sweep the world. IN A CALVANIST, PATERNALISTIC, CONSERVATIVE COUNTRY LIKE OURS? HMMMM.....

Oh we have problems like everyone else regarding abortion, gay rights, wierd churches, etc, but all in all we are doing fine thank you  And please understand, I am not knocking the USA, I think it plays a vital part in world affairs (now there's an understatement) :taped: But a few small details for you. We sailed nearly unscathed through the financial crisis. Why? We are rated in the top 10 countries in the world as to our banking and financial control systems (Standard and Poors annual survey), we have some of the most innovative doctors in the world - First heart transplant is only one. Some of our medical technology in terms of X rays, MRI, etc is now used world wide - hey, in our deep mines we X ray through rock and our radios talk through rock! Our military vehicles (anti mine), are used by the USA and Britian in Iran and Afganistan.(I see them on TV all the time - I know they are ours cause I sat on top of one with a 50 cal in a dirty little bush war a good few years back..

Oh yes, need I mention Nelson Mandela, Bishop Desmond Tutu and the World Cup.

Americans are not the only patriotic bunch around

Liberty does exist outside of America. If America falls and another nation or group of nations takes over, I expect to see them also tout liberty... perhaps this nation or group of nations might have a different view on liberty than the American view, and perhaps they might hold it in a different regard, but I still expect to see it even after America falls [if that is what occurs].

What if the power is China or Russia?

I don't know about the EU. But European nations have a track record of conquering lands, not building them up.

Neb, I don't think China and Russia will espouse freedom the same way the USA has / will. But freedom still remains beyond the states, I personally live in a free country. At least I believe I do, some obviously disagree.

Australia free? (I am assuming you're from OZ or New Zealand) Your government took your guns. There are certain things you can't say. That ain't freedom friend. That's tyranny lite. On the face, it looks like freedom, but underneath...rotten.

I do NOT live under tyranny. Do you live here and know what we live under?

We don't have liberty in all things, nor do you. But on the whole we are a very free people, just like you.

We are not rotten underneath.

:)

America is not the last bastion of hope when it comes to freedom and Christianity. The idea that it is, is nothing more than pride.

Freedom and liberty is not owned by America. The rest of the world is not living under tyranny or oppression just because we aren't the USA.

:)

One only needs to look at the threads around this forum to see the ways in which you do NOT live under complete freedom and liberty.

I thought the statement was about no other nation would defend liberty the way the US has.

So, would China defend another country for the sake of liberty?

You are going to have to quote the context in which that was said.

China doesn't value and espouse liberty like the USA. But is that the point? No!

Liberty DOES exist outside of the states. I'm sick of my country being trashed.

Fez is right. Americans are not the only patriotic bunch. I will stand up for my country too.

Of course we're not. Everyone in free countries has the right to defend their own country and to be patriotic. I think it's a positive thing to love one's country. :)

I'm sorry Andy - Candice (!) - I probably misunderstood the context of the original quote.

I didn't see the statement as claiming no other countries have liberty.

I was thinking in terms of the influence over the world of the dominant world power. If the dominant world power has a history of being an oppressive government (i.e. China), do you believe that would not spread oppression throughout the world?

But hey, if Australia or South Africa are able to take the place of the USA as the dominant world power, I'd feel safe. :)

But you don't feel safe now? These boards are full of the fear some people have. I don't live in fear, nor do I live in blissful ignorance. I just live under Grace.

Hmmm.....Lets see....hmmm  Romans, Greeks, Persians, British ("the sun never sets on the British Empire"...on yeah?). Wonder who took over from those superpowers eventually?

It's becoming pretty obvious that there are forces, spiritual, internal and external, which want the United States to fall. While on the surface these forces appear each to have their own agendas, they are in fact united in goal. What is that goal? To destroy the last Christian nation.

Chrisitans have killed Christianity in my opinion. Non-believers are just tired of our hypocrisy.

I did not have a gun to be taken :whistling:

Can you tell me the certain things I can not say that you can?

I'll take Australia as my home over your country any day.

Now, now...kids.....play nice! Let's not get into 'my country is better than your country' silliness.....okay?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
