I wonder about the outcome of this trial if this young woman a Muslim, and refused the same thing based on her beliefs?

Things have come this far off the rails because good people have done nothing to stand up for themselves. History is repeating itself again.

So true; standing still and waiting for the enemy to kill you just goes against the grain. I don't think God wants us to promote, condone or support perversion. At least, I've never found anything in Scripture that says this.

This is true. We are blessed beyond measure to live in countries where we can speak out about just about anything and we are free to worship as we wish. We have to take care to guard and exercise those freedoms though; like anything else it's 'use it or lose it'.

She wasn't refusing to treat them she was refusing to treat them the way that that profession demands, as if there were othing wrong with it and it wasn't a sin.

She refused the treat a patient because it conflicted with her closely held Religious convictions and her faith. It's exactly what I said and it is persecution.

That is not true. 1) She did refuse to treat them. 2) The profession was giving her A's in her class even though she was plainly espousing her views (part of the judges comments.) Her views aren't the issue. She is supposed to counsel people according to ACA standards no matter what her personal beliefs are...and she REFUSED to even see the client! If anything...she persecuted the client by allowing her personal biases cloud her obligation to help the client. That flies in the face of ANY counseling...christian, secular, personal, or professional.

If a gay person attempted to set aside some time with you for counseling...would you refuse to speak with them? What other type of sinners are we to refuse to talk to?

I'd talk to the gay person. However, her personal conviction is not my own.
