I would say "NO" also. Evolution takes God completely out of the equation, therefore how can a Christian believe in it?

I know ALOT of Scientists and teachers that believe in Evolutionism as Creationism, Which means God Used evolution for creation. Do i personally believe this? Nope... Have I done my research on the topic? Nope... Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? Nope...

Praise Jesus for he is Salvation, he is the Way, the Truth, and the life. And by him we shall come to the Father, by him we are redeemed. Let us look to our Saviour and not to Scientists.

God Bless,

Dave

To me, it doesn't matter how God created us, only that God created us.

Greetings Bob Triez,

In fact, you have no argument from me at all period. But I saw it as a foregone conclusion that we could assume evolutionists see it that we arrived from nothing....so I started at step 2 - current life depending on the death of prior life to "perfect" existing life forms....that's what I meant....and that [ concept ] is not Biblical.

I suspected you knew what you were talking about, but you just didn't seem to word it properly. Here you are saying you were talking about reincarnation(?), which of coure is NOT Biblical. Everything is running "downhill", sin increases, death increases. There is never an upward evolution.

Thank you and God bless,

Dad Ernie

if you do not believe in one aspect of the Bible, then you might as well not believe in any of it.... for each and every part of the Bible, backs its self up with other parts of the Bible...

we can not choose and pick what we want to believe in Gods Word...

if we start taking parts of it out, then it will not hold up..... that includes Creation....

the only evolution is the kind ( macro, i believe ) that is where a woman and a man produce children..... the children are then a mix between the mother and the father..... no new creatures, but veriations of the existing.....

man with dark skin and dark hair, mother with light skin and light hair

child 1, dark skin, dark curly hair

child 2, light skin, dark curly hair

child 3, dark skin dark straight hair

child 4, light skin, dark straight hair

and so forth..... each child carries all the information for all the combinations and even mixtures of the combination...

child 5 medium dark skin, light straight hair,

child 6 medium dark skin, light curly hair

child 7 medium dark skin, dark straight hair,

child 8 medium dark skin dark curly hair....

and this can continue on with every trait that each of the parents have....

dont matter how many veriations there are, they are still of the same spieces....

even if two of the children that have the most desirable traits that they like, have children, and they have children and so forth, all you will come up with is a more stable set of traits that will be less likely to have some of the other traits coming thru......

a friend of mine has a peticular hunting dog, that is bread for contest, but his dog is an off colour, which they normally put down as soon as they know the colour, for these dogs are suppose to be a specific colour, and they do not want the colour to change, but being they all came from some dog stock somewhere, there are still traits that come thru, even many generations later......

all the dogs that have been bread and rebread, are still just dogs, they have not turned into lions or chimps or people......

so

how can one that believes in any of the Bible.... any of it..... believe in evolution???

and if they do, which parts of the Word of God are they throwing out in order that they might believe the way they want to?

mike

My thoughts exactly.

Genesis 1:2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

God always has been. He alone created the universe and everything in it. If this isn't the whole truth then how could the rest of the bible be valid?

Hi, jcm -

I'm not sure why you brought this up.

I'm even less sure if I should respond.

I'll just say this - when I began reading Genesis 1 as a theological revelation (as I believe it should be read) rather than a scientific disortation (which is really odd since scientific thought and understanding and perspective did not exist at the time the words were recorded), I began gaining a much greater meaning out of the passage.

Something to think about.

Evolution says that man and women were alive millions of years ago, when God says that they were created shortly ago, with woman being made from an already-fully-formed man's side.

The whole problem I have with EVILution is that it makes God the author of death, bloodshead, disease and suffering instead of man (as Bob already pointed out).

Another interesting chapter to read is 1 Corinthians 15. It talks about Adam's sin and death as well.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
