Is there some scripture that points to Moses, Enoch or Elijah having to be the two witnesses or are we just throwing some ideas in here.

Based on the fact that God says something it happens....

Heb 9:27-28

27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

NKJV

There are only two men listed in Scripture who have not underwent death 7th in line from Adam Enoch

Ge 5:24

24 And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

NKJV

Heb 11:5

5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

and Elijah's chariot of fire

2 Ki 2:11

11 Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

I'm here and I haven't died, why can't I be one of the witnesses???

God always seem to show great initiative to show forth His unseen hand through the fulfillment of His Word and the accomplishing of this from both beginning of time (7th in line from Adam) and prophetic periods of Elijah... taking these men to fulfill end time events looks a lot like His pleasure and ways of doing things (the first shall be last and last first stuff)! Plus these men were unyielding to all that was around them in steadfastness of purpose (they could not) be swayed by the extreme odds of counter forces that was of their time! These men are going to stop rain and cause suffering of plagues upon people 1260 days... these people are going to hate them where ever they are till they are killed in the streets for the whole world to see...

If your pre-trib you won't be here- the Church is gone... I would think twice about the wanting of this ministry is I were you Love, Steven
