Bostonians are known for dropping their "r"s (Pa'k the ca' in the pa'king lot.) Texans are known for adding "r"s (Warsh the car.) Baltimorians condense words. ("Bal-ti-more" become "Bal'mer".) Etc., etc., etc. So yeah, Southerners have their own accent. And the more "hick" the person, the heavier the accent is. I think it comes from the Irish and Scottish roots of the original settlers. I can actually hear the accents in every word! Well done Neb! I think one of the rules is: The Baltimorean accent tries to turn a three syllable word into a one (or two) syllable word.
