.... ok so you and other people are saying I'm prideful and not wanting to follow Jesus. I do want to follow him, but how do I get rid of my pride and humble myself!? I really don't want to go to hell and I will serve Christ if I settle this matter of my salvation

If It Is Written

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

It Is So

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36

See

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. John 10:9-10

Be Blessed Beloved

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11

Love, Joe

Actually Kuwi, it's that your standards of being a good person are much much lower than Gods. Jesus even questioned the Jews calling him good. Are you a mean old dispickable worthless person????? No, I can't see that at all..... but are you up to Gods standards for being a 'good person". If you've sinned one single time, the answer would be no.

Are you a bad person compared to the rest of our society..... I would doubt it even though I really don't know you at all. but will you fit into things when this world is over and we're all in the presence of the creator...... that's a whole different story when he's expecting perfection. Jesus has offered to cover our shortcomings with his righteousness if we do the things in Romans that have been posted in the thread Until you decide for yourself that you can't be what God demands and tell Jesus you need his help and decide to agree to follow his teachings and rely on him, you can not stand before the Father and exist.

As I see from this post, you're standards are just too low.

My Salvation

Loved of God He wants you to be His and spiritually healthy! This is what the Lord is teaching us here

Jer 17:9-10

9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?

10 I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give every man according to his ways,

According to the fruit of his doings. NKJV

What you must accept is casting out your own opinion and accepting His as reality! That is why He has written this

Prov 3:5-8

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.

NKJV

The truth about your situation and all else that have been brought into this world by pro-creation is that we have come into a preset place of wrongful ideas and set patterns of world systems that all try to nullify God's Place as to Lord of all we do and say! Even the physical way we learn (our senses) are trusted more than the Spiritual essence that has brought everything into being! It is the greatest miracle of all that we in this state are able to be drawn by God to cry out "Lord save me" and by His Word

Jer 17:14-17

4 Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise.

15 Indeed they say to me, "Where is the word of the Lord? Let it come now!"

16 As for me, I have not hurried away from being a shepherd who follows You,

Nor have I desired the woeful day; You know what came out of my lips;

It was right there before You. 17 Do not be a terror to me; You are my hope in the day of doom.

NKJV

You have the terror but do not see the need "for your not that bad a person" as your own godness has proclaimed supported by all that you have learned from your beginning placement in a sinful world!

I will speak to you plainly- The ugliest of all sin is the one who looks upon the suffering Christ went through and do not see it was their sin that caused it!

Or do you suppose that saying in your heart to Him- He really didn't need to do that for you! He is presently banging at your hearts door saying If Not By Me then you must live by The Law....

You have yourself and all that is in the world opposed to what God has said in His Word, but God has said His Law will not pass away till all be fulfilled....

Matt 5:18-19

18 For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

NKJV

Only in Christ Jesus is the Law of God is fulfilled in the eternities, all else that reject Him must go by way of the Law and that brings death

Rom 7:5-6

5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. 6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

NKJV

Repent in your heart that the pain and suffering that God The Father and God The Son and God The Holy Spirit went through to gain your release from wrong thinking and the rebellion of sin that is within you. Your sin is so minimized by you that you don't even see the need to cry out to God forgive me for what I have done... Prayed Love Steven

First you have to believe what the Bible says.

It says we have all sinned and fallen short of His glory. (Romans 3:23)

And the soul that sins shall die. (Ezekiel 18:4)

But Jesus died to atone for our sins.

Romans 5:1-9

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. . . . 6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

So what must one do to be saved?

- Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. (Romans 10:9-10)

- Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10)

- Repent (Acts 3:28)

- Be baptized in the name of Jesus (Acts 3:28, Acts 8:35-38)

If you have not done any of these, then be sure to do that. Then all that is needed is to believe what the Scriptures say and that you are saved.

If you do not confess Jesus as Lord because you believe that to be a "work", then you deny what the Scripture says.

As for baptism, think of that as sealing the deal. So if you have done the first three, then ask your pastor to baptize you. Once you are baptized in Jesus' name as a willing confession of faith, then you won't have any reason to be plagued by doubt anymore. :)

Friend.... we would rather you be searching for the truth than not be! To be examining yourself to see if God is within! If you need us to work through Scriptures to gain for you understandings this also we will do... We love you in Christ and He gave His all to you that you might live your all in Him!!! I can tell you this that the closer you draw to Him the closer He to you and the fruit of that will be

Ps 34:18-21

18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,

And saves such as have a contrite spirit.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous,

But the Lord delivers him out of them all.

20 He guards all his bones;

Not one of them is broken.

21 Evil shall slay the wicked,

And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.

NKJV

I ask your forgiveness for some who have been short with you in this repetition ... patience is a thing we all work on in our obediences to our Lord but never seem to get all together right!

My prayers are for your drawing close enough to Him that you begin to weep for the dreadful sins that you have considered to be nothing and through unworthiness you will sense His Word

upon your heart in a living manner that requires your every obedience to what is written within....

Love Steven

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
