so called christians slaughtered thousands of muslims. in the so called name of God. for what? NOTHING! a ruined city.

You say that as if Muslims didn't likewise slaughter Christians and Jews and anyone else in their way.

Have you heard or read about how Muhammad gained control of Mecca and Medina?

i guess it wasnt made clear enough. we shouldnt be fighting physically agaisnt anyone else.

First of all, we have every Biblical right to fight physically against anyone who is trying to kill us. You think the muslims just want to join hands with us, let bygones be bygones, and sing Kumbaya with us???

And second. You seem to have an impression of Jesus as being this person who just went around loving everyone and never fought against false teachers or religions - one who was tolerant of everything.

If so, you would be wrong.

Not only, like you mentioned in another post, did Jesus run the money changers out of the Temple, but he did it with a whip. (John 2:15).

Jesus did not tolerate unbelievers in Him. He called them "children of your father - the Devil" (John 8:42-44).

Jesus sure didn't tolerate the Pharisees either. He called them "snakes" a "brood of vipers" "hypocrites" "blind fools" "like whitwashed tombs" (Matthew 23).

Jesus got angry at the Pharisees (Mark 3:5).

Jesus did not tolerate anyone who caused anyone who believed in him to sin. He said it would be better for them "to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea" (Matthew 18:6).

Jesus did not tolerate Peter trying to prevent Him from fulfilling His mission. He even called him "Satan" (Matthew 16:23).

Jesus did not tolerate those who reject the Gospel. He calls them "dogs" and "pigs" (Matthew 7:6).

In Revelation 19:15, Jesus is coming back in "wrath" and "fury"

And Jesus will kill all the wicked when He returns during the Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 19:21) And the birds will gorge themselves on their flesh.

If you can watch in your country BBC Panorama aired November/22 you will make some conclusions. The content itself is not surprising. The radical saying things is not nothing new and we are told so in the world news. The books supplied by a rich oil producing country which is considered a friend is never mentioned in the news.

The important is that the Word of God is not stoppable no matter what humans try to do so otherwise.

God does look after His followers and we as followers do spread His Word. That is a heavenly joy.

Blessings

i shouldnt need to. our constitution should be doing that. but yeah physically if i saw a man beating a women i would defend her to the death. as long as she accepted the help.

OK, so what do you have to say about the OP (opening post)?

Just looking for clarification.

if we kicked everyone out that tried to install something other than the constitution we wouldnt have that many people left... our country has the freedom of religion for a reason.

So you think we should surrender our government to the Muslims? Sharia law is not a "religion." It is a legal system. Would you like to live under Sharia law?

Protecting our Constitution does not infringe on freedom of religion.

lemme give you this point of view. if the Muslims were to just group all Christians(denominations) together as one religion an entity as we do them. who would have more of a right to kill the others? so called christians slaughtered thousands of muslims. in the so called name of God. for what? NOTHING! a ruined city. if anyone should be ticked off and on the offensive its them. im not saying they are right. or their religion is right. or we shouldnt fight back. but a lot of people act as if they they are just attacking us out of no where an without any cause.

we should not just swirl them all up into one bag an say these people should be tossed out. they are humans just like us. an sinners just like us. you gotta step in their shoes for a moment. because their shoes are our shoes too. we all wear the same shoes. an they say sinner on the bottom.

No...we do NOT 'all wear the same shoes'. Muslims follow satan (a.k.a. 'allah') while we believers follow the one True God. No comparison can be made and the United States would be immensely better without the muslims scurrying around in the shadows. If they left it to me, all foreign born muslims would be expelled, no immigration would be allowed from predominatly muslim countries and natural born muslims would live under constant scrutiny (they're pretty much doing that now anyway.)

morninglory, did you even read my posts. i never said we have the same religion. the shoes i made an analogy about were sin shoes. meaning we are all just as big a sinner as the next guy. yes people who have been born again in Christ should not be in constant sin. but we have all sinned an come short. just like muslims. and if they repent just like you an i do they can be saved to too...no?

so how is kicking them all out of this country showing them the love of Christ? Christ never kicked anyone out of anywhere except the Holy places. last time i checked muslims arent in our churches and the constitution is not shariah law... <.<

Muslims are a unique species....they aren't open to forgiveness or loving gestures as a rule. Some would be, of course, because we cannot (and should not) paint an entire race, religion, or ethnicity with the same brush. I DID read your posts but I tend to think in absolutes; the subtleties just go right over my head. I agree that we have all sinned and all can be forgiven when they repent. Repentence is a foreign concept in islam; there is no forgiveness and there is no salvation. Please read the Qu'ran before making these noises about being nice to muslims. It will give you a cold helping of reality.

morningglory, do you like the constitution?

Do I LIKE the Constitution???? I'm a ninth generation American, my friend, and I would die for this country and the freedom, religious and otherwise, enjoyed by all who live here. What kind of question is that?

Read Luke 22:26:

"He (Jesus) said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."

The sword (Greek: Maxairan) is a "dagger or short sword that belongs to the Jewish traveler's equiptment as protection against robbers."

It is perfectly clear from this passage that Jesus approved of self-defense.

And as God, the Holy Spirit, inspired to be written in Exodus 22:2 "If a thief is caught breaking into a house at night and is struck and killed in the process, the person who killed the theif is not guilty of murder."

When Nehemiah was rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem, it was for him and the other men to be armed for self-defense. (Nehemiah 4:16-18)

And the Jews still celebrate the "Feast of Purim" which commemorates the armed self-defense of the Jewish people in Ester 9:1-10.

Etc.

"man" thats pretty sad. did Christ kick any pagans out of israel? did he try and remove unbelievers from his sight? no he went among them an witnessed to them. the disciples did the same thing. they didnt try an destroy. they spoke the truth in love.

The problem is that you are comparing two imcomparabe contexts. We are talking about how we as a nation should respond to those who threaten us and our way of life. Those who want to replace our constitution with Sharia law are a threat to the well-being of the nation.

The argument is not that we should kick pagans out of our country for being pagan. The argument is that there is a terrorist element that has no regard for human life and are willling to use any means of indiscriminate killing, torture and damage of property in order to facilitate their own perverted agenda. They purposefully target the most innocent and vulnerable members of a given society and virtually hold a nation hostage in the process. They recognize no moral restriction on themselves whatsoever. They are in some cases irretrievably wicked. There is no ground of commonality, no point from which peaceful dialogue can take place. They cannot be reasoned with or appeased. They use our freedom and our love of life against us. They see their love of death as their greatest weapon.

People like that have to be eliminated from a just and humane society.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
