Trinity, your post just brought the thought to me that maybe this question is so basic and the answer is so simple that He (Jesus) didn't think maybe we really needed scripture to tell us what is built into us from the very beginning.

I might add to all and not just Trinity, that here in Oklahoma you can not use deadly force in protecting your property, only in protecting life, and then if there was a chance to do something else you could still be liable for your actions. (Example: if someone is breaking into your house and you are by yourself and you could slip out a back window but chose to confront a person breaking into your house, you would be at the mercy of the prosecuting attorney as to whether charges are filed)

So, at least here you should be very sure that there is no other way but to kill to protect your and your family's very life, or you could be in trouble, and it is not OK to kill over property. This is also the rules for all our law enforcement people as has been told to me by both sheriff's office people and our Highway Patrol Officers.

When in the middle of an attack do you have time to evaluate the situation? How does one in an emergency determine if the person breaking into your house only wants your jewelry or is bent upon killing you or a member of your family?

when you have one of your best friends come over drunk and get your back door open and want to talk because he just broke up with his wife to be, and you come within a breaths hair of killing him, you learn from the experience to make sure.... really sure, and if you can't be sure don't shoot.

I have a friend who's son came home in the middle of the night (he did not live there but just came for a visit) and my friend nearly shot him. Just two experiences in my life that were very close.

Things happen that might not be your fault, but I don't think I'd ever get over killing Jim and if I had had the mentality that I am reading on this thread, he would surely be dead.

I hope people are just discussing theoretecal things here and if you all do have loaded weapons at home that you really know how to use them properly, for what we are discussing here is not simple black and white.

You never know who is coming into your house or why. Deciding to kill anyone who violates your space is a very dangerous thing to do.

Ok.. I feel I have enough backing now to come out with this...

People need to be careful what they say.. things can hurt others in ways you would never imagine..

I am a new christian, just weeks old.. and I feel some things said here were used against me in demonic attack..

When I was younger I was abducted.. I was tortured and forcibly used in the making of child pornography, I have seen children mutilated and murdered.. things have happened before my eyes that I will never be able to speak of in this life.

I CANNOT abide the thought of somone witnessing such atrocities and doing NOTHING to stop it.. I did not know if this was a true part of being a christian, I began to doubt my faith.. I was afraid that if this was the truth, then I could no longer be a christian. I battled with this for many hours and had to talk with a trusted friend before I was able to calm down, I was very upset and frightened.. I didnt know what to do, I didnt know what to believe.. I just knew that I would NOT be able to stand by and allow evil to happen if it were in my power to prevent it.. regardless of the price I would pay.

THERE ARE EVILS IN THIS WORLD THAT YOU DO NOT KNOW!

Do not try to claim that there is no situation possible that you would not resist..

Do not try to claim that you are immune and it cant happen to you..

I do understand where you are coming from and what you are talking about. I had a grandchild go through basically the same thing as you. He saw many things that you saw. He was not abducted, but was pulled into a group of Satanic worshippers in his school when he was in Pre K, at the age of 5.

He saw babies slammed against the wall and murdered. Dogs murdered. Child rape and pornography and the works. So, yes, I do understand. I won't go on telling what all he saw and everything we found out and put a stop to. I will tell you that I do understand and I won't stand by and let things like this happen. There were 13 children, including my grandchild that went through this horrible torture. Yes, there was torture so that a parent would not know unless they listened to what their child said very closely.

You are right, there are people that would not lift a hand to help my daughter and me do anything about what was going on in this school and it was happening to their children, too. My daughter and I finally got enough backing to put a stop to this though. We contacted the police and by the time the police arrived (two weeks later) the group, teachers, etc had moved on. We found that the police, pharmacist, one doctor and many of the higher ups in town were mixed up in this cult. That is why some of the towns people would not help us. They were afraid they would be attacked. They knew about this all along and would do nothing.

Was I attacked? You betcha! You see I know spiritual warfare, so they could do nothing to me without being physically abusive. I was threatened big time. I still kept going. Gary and me and my daughters family eventually moved away to get my grandchild out of the surroundings where the bad things had happened to him.

My grandchild who is now 18 refuses to talk about these things today. He does remember them though. How could he not?

I am sorry you felt like someone was demonically attacking you. If you feel it was shadow2b or me then please let us know and lets work this out.

To let you know: I do believe in demons and demonic attacks. I also believe in casting out demons.

Im not saying that all im sying is if he came to kill you, and there was no way of excape, then you'd have to kill him. But if there is a way out with out having to kill anyone then by all means don't kill him

I dont think a person was demonicly attacking me.. I think that demons TOOK what the person said and twisted it around to use against me.. I dont blame the person for this but it might not have happened if they had explained themselves a little better...

thanks to those who posted about Jewish customs (regarding turning the other cheek), and to everyone else who made intelligent posts.

i think that i would now have a peace about forcefully protecting my loved ones, if it came to that.

however, i think that if it came down to my dying or my attacker dying (if i were by myself), i hope that i would choose to die. maybe then my attacker would still have a chance to know God.
