Rom 10:8-10 "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved ; 10 for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. NASB It's simple, except there is a lot to confessing jesus as Lord. To make that happen we become bond servants, and thus we must live as he has told us to. Love God and Love your neighbor, get baptised, be submissive to your husband or Love your wife as Jesus loved us.... That Jesus being Lord is a tricky thing.. But I can testify it's a lot of fun. What should we as christians do to make sure that we will go to heaven? We can't achieve perfection or complete sinlessness....only Jesus could do that. We must first believe that God came to us in the flesh, sent His Son the Messiah to redeem His own from the world, make way for all to come to Him, confess your sins, confess His name and walk in faith. Rev. and elsewhere tells us that only those who wish to enter into the kingdom need to keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of the Messiah. When we accept Him we become part of the covenant and all its promises and because of our acceptance we then are in that process of having His Torah (instructions) written on our hearts so we can be walk in them. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He is the propitiation concerning our sins, and not concerning ours only, but also concerning the sins of all the world. Jesus atones for our sins past present and future. We are not supposed to sin, but being human and sinful, we still will stumble and sin. I cant avoid it personally for one day. Ok, not even an hour.
