I would be exactly the same!

I have to check my shoes etc before I put them on, just in case. Any bits of fluff or anything on the carpet always look like spiders to me! The first thing I do when I enter a room is look around for spiders, especially my bedroom and the bathroom. I haven't been able to use the lamp in my living room for the last two days because there is a spider dangling just in front of it....

And I do scream, but there's no one around to hear it!

Oh so happy to hear I ain't the only one who checks shoes. When my coat hangs in closet for any length of time my sis will run her arms in the sleeves for me.... :b: I don't blame you about not turning on the light. I would be the same. If someone isn't around to dispatch the things then I just wait wait wait...I have a fear it knows what I am thinking and it is just waiting to pounce on me..... seriously.... The only time I get brave enough to tackle one is if one of my grandchildren is around and then I become little miss braveheart to their rescue.... Why can't I be like that when it is just me.... :noidea: Pretty crazy I am....

Be blessed sister... :emot-hug:

Not only are you not being selfish, but here's another question, do you want to deal with a pair of sisters? I mean trust me, they'll play nice for the first week, the first month if your lucky, but one will do something and the other will retaliate and a fight will follow. It doesn't matter how they were raised, I know a pair of sisters who were raised always going to church, always praying, always taught to follow God, both are going to be nuns now. Anyway, I thought, 'oh that's so great, they must never fight.' just because it's not loud, doesn't mean it's not a fight. Sarah will talk in strained tones and Rachel will sound like she's trying to be reasonable. Eventually because she was taught to follow her elders and that her sister is her elder, Rachel will follow what Sarah says whether she agrees or not.

So yeah, that's something else you've got to think about, do you always want to be a ref?

As I read the thread that has spanned a couple of months I see the work of the Lord in freeing you from a tie to that place. I eagerly anticipate where this takes you because I just know that in Christ it will work out for good & just have a sence that some wonderful change is in the future for you! Bless your heart!!!

now as for the bugs... I'm a freak about bugs too but since i had kids had to overcome that, cant have me PLUS a traumatized 2 year old so I had to overcome that 8 years ago. Its funny though when i squish a spider i keep squishing for like 30 seconds to make it MORE dead.

The comment about the pj's & slippers reminded me of one morning when I was outside in my flip flops & long jammie bottoms looking at my flower bed and having my coffee... all of a sudden i felt a bite then another on my upper thigh I screamed & ripped my pants off right then and there in my garden I was covered with RED ANTS! how they got up my pants without my knowledge I'll never know but i was running for the house slapping my legs and threw my pants across the yard...

Thankfully we live in the bush & not a neighbour in sight praise the Lord lol!!! It was garbage day though so I was lucky to not be spotted!

I look forward to hearing where you end up!

No, I don't think you are being selfish. I am lucky enough not to need a car where I live, the train station is less than a mile from my house, and there is no way I would want to move away from public transportation with the price of gas now.

That's cool, being so close to public transport. If I'd known how things were going to work out, I probably would have looked for somewhere closer to work so I didn't have to worry about public transport, as it is atrocious over here! That said, I'd still rather take the bus to work than drive as petrol prices are horrendous and I'd also have to pay for parking. Even if I was closer though, I still think I'd be lost without a car as it's so much easier not to have to rely on public transport, especially for longer journeys.

Oh so happy to hear I ain't the only one who checks shoes. I think our reactions are very similar! And I totally agree about them waiting to pounce, I'm sure of the same!

And regardless of who is around, I'm never brave enough to get near them!

I stopped using my laundry basket for months because I was worried one day I'd open it and find a spider in there! I just ended up piling clothes on top until I had enough for a load. Tragic, really!

So yeah, that's something else you've got to think about, do you always want to be a ref?

Definitely not!

Thank you :) Still not at all certain what I should be doing currently but praying the answer will come to me.

As for the bugs...you are very brave! I have no such motivation so sadly I will more than likely stick to my massive over-reactions!

The red ants...that sounds horrible! I think I would have reacted in a very similar fashion!

No, I'm in the same place. Still not sure what to do

I have a feeling my flatmate might be planning on moving elsewhere anyway, though I can't be sure and he hasn't said anything directly. If he does, that will force my hand though. In conclusion...really not sure what is happening and still unhappy about it all!

No, you are not being selfish. I think you are thinking about the long term effect, that's why. But that is not being selfish. You are just being wise. They should also consider your situation now. I pray that you find the best solution and what's best for everyone.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
