Ah, but you don't understand, that's the worst pain you can inflect on a man....... and it's not pride that would be hurt, but that his woman disapproved...

Better he get wounded by me for disapproving of his lust of other women than to stand before God with this sin.

Don't you think?

there are better ways of dealing with it than voilence....

I don't approve of oggling anyone, but any kind of physical violence in a marriage is dangerous.

Sam, it's an expression. I've never been able to bring myself to hit anyone.

Oh, I guess I've known too many violent women in my life. I have a couple of aunts that would be common pracitce.

I'm sorry, Sam. I had no idea my exaggeration would be a sore spot to anyone.

Heh - there are times I would hit my brother in play and hurt my hand worse than I hurt him (if I hurt him at all)!

I have noticed that atheists bring judgement against God based on there personal morals.

God is not loving because he did x, y,z God is not good because, x, y, z. These are all statements based on a moral view point that their idea of God does not line up with.

So my question is where do atheists get the moral code to judge God by?

You know Isa. when We all stand before The Lord ... I am getting ready now because I believe it is not as we think formed from this place but how it is formed by those who have

already done so in His Word

Gen 18:1-5 Abraham

Ex 3:1-6 Moses

Deut 4:7-10 Israel

Isa 6:1-7 Isaiah

Lk 2:9-10 Shepherds

Act 3:3-9 Saul

Rev 22:6-15 John

Whether before God or those who have come directly from the presence of God so that His glory was upon them- the reaction is fear and instant obedience...

May we hear the quietness of this voice in these last days! Love Steven

The only way to judge God is by his own standards.

Ex 32:9-14

And the Lord said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation. And Moses besought the Lord his God, and said, Lord, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever. And the Lord repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

That is not entirely accurate. There were civil laws that only applied to the nation of Israel under certain commandments. Not all of God's commandments were meant for all people for all time. Otherwise you should be required to adhere to the dietary commandments and keep the Seventh day Sabbath and a host of other commandments I don't think you would care to observe.

God is the same yesterday, today and tommorow.

I don't think I would like to live in a world where rebellious children and adulterers are stoned to death. If I would, I would move to Iran. If this is what Christianity proposes (who will throw the first stone, anyway?), then NO, thanks. And I am not aware that murders stop in countries where the death penalty is in place. Here in Sweden we have no such acts of punishement but we enjoy a pretty safe and happy life (at least we did before the Muslims came). You should come to visit and a have a look

If these things had been enforced for all of this time, it wouldn't matter to you because no one would know the difference.

(sigh) Please read post #12 where I deal with the issue and ignore post #17.

What an asinine thing to say! Maybe people should ignore what you post. My position is just as valid as yours. So k..............................

Well, I would say there is something seriously wrong when a woman encourages a man towards lust ("Lots of good looking blond girls.") and then supports her husband in his looking at other women that way.

I was just joking. I cannot believe you took me seriously... :emot-questioned:

There are some things I am sensitive to - same as how OtherOne was sensitive to my comment about slapping.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
