Galatians 3:28 is the scripture that I know points out in Christ, we are all one...and has held that as my encouragement that we as women are called to preach. Like anything else..God will not force anyone to believe what they don't want to. I also don't believe He will penalize women who receive their calling... nor those who don't believe women are called.

Years ago, I use to feel that women wasn't called, I was part of a church that believe women are to sit quietly, maybe until there was a Women Conference, then she was let out and after a week..back sitting quietly. Those were some of the most miserable years of my life. Then about nine years ago...I had more questions than the male pastor could answer. I prayed and ask God to help me. One morning I turned on the TV and Joyce Myers was on. In thirty minutes she covered many of the things I needed to know.

I am now part of a church with a husband and wife team. My female pastor preach and teach with the anointing of the Holy Ghost and NEVER runs over her husband. Yolks are being broken, people are going higher in the Lord...

I've decided just to leave it all to God...

And bless and pray for those who are bold enough to step out and do what they are called to do.

Who are we to say that God does not call women to preach? We are not the Holy Spirit. If God calls, then he qualifies, and makes a way for the woman to handle her calling. I admire Joyce Meyer, she has her ministry and her husband supports her in it. She has respect for him as her husband and no doubt it would be very difficult, if not impossible for her to be in her ministry without him and his ministry.

Except for that annoying little detail that Gal 3:28 is about equality of access to the Lord and salvation, not equality in roles. Jews still exist. Men still exist.

Miss Elly,

I have this in my life that may help in this you are speaking of... I held that of the woman before God as an idol for 40 years. As a result I have been married and divorced 3 times and this passage says this

1 Tim 3:2-7

2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; 3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; 4 one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence 5 (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); 6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

NKJV

So there are many ways of looking at it but only one if you wish to be 100% sure of obedience.... all sin has results as we see the near destruction of our world by lust, greed, sloth, pride, envy, wrath, gluttony... and I cannot eradicate them from my flesh for they are in one form or another present in this body! The Lord says

John 14:21

21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."

NKJV

A haunting Scripture of I say I love You Father... but
Rom7...
all this I have said above forms what I am saying here:

I realize the leading of Scripture is 100% need of Christ Jesus in every way, word, form of doing and being-> for only His life obeyed and Loved God The Father in Holiness of truth in the flesh! When I examine by my lack of ability and failings as The Holy Spirit within gives to me witness-> this becomes truth (within)-> that every Word that has proceeded out of the Mouth of God is precious and raises a mark to press toward but obtaining? well! ? ! ... Only in Christ "praise God"... So One wife means to the fullest of truth - one woman ever, only and I sit down in my heart to not go that way in myself! To lift His Word to the very highest of understanding thus assuring complete adherence to the purpose of intent of the leading within Scripture to Life Eternal in Christ!

1Cor 11:1-15
begins us to understand an order of things exist in God toward man and woman here which propels us into this Scripture

1 Cor 14:34-35

34 Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says. 35 And if they want to learn something, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is shameful for women to speak in church.

NKJV

1 Cor 11:9-12

9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man. 10 For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head,
because of the angels.
11 Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Lord. 12 For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from God.

NKJV

As satan ripped away, by lies, angels from the truth that all positions through out eternity are in submission to God The Father Through The Son empowered by The Holy Spirit and in falling from this high calling there are no longer where The Father puts but where they have placed themselves and to perform in His Strength and Will is no longer Life to them! Rebellion is the bread of death and we see it everyday before our eyes in this world of sin.. We know they (angels) are watching us

1 Peter 1:12

12 To them it was revealed that, not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven — things which angels desire to look into.

NKJV

So in our low position -> whatever it may be -> we have become examples to the great One's of God who behold His Face.

He (Christ) helps us to see the great example of Himself-

Phil 2:5-11

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

NKJV

AND how it was formed also in Paul

Phil 4:11-13

11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

NKJV

Love Steven

I believe that scripture is very clear that women should not be preaching or teaching. Women can pray in public and share the Gospel with the lost, women can also teach other women as well as children. Those who follow the feminist movement think they are permitted to do whatever they please.

1 Tim 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

hmmmmmm, I think the spirit of God takes authority over all. Back in jewish days, women were supposed to be silent every where, they did not eat with the men, they did not stay in the same room with them when company came, they were like deaf and dumb most of the time. For a woman to be anything but silent in the churches would have shown terrible disrespect. Culture, culture, culture. I guarantee you if if the Holy Spirit moved on me to preach I would and furthermore, if "men" were in touch with the Spirit as well, they would not stop me. Forget the gender, just go with the flow! :1:

And I am not a feminist and don't agree with their movement. The fruit of the spirit is MEEKNESS, for men and women.

I used to argue this point to the nth degree against women being pastors or having any authority over men in the Church. I argued that the Aquila and Priscilla teaching Apollos a better doctrine about the Gospel was an argument from silence since no specific mention of who said or did what was made. Aquila could have done the teaching and Priscilla could have been the hostess which was a ministry (Acts 6:1-7).

That Junia was outstanding among the Apostles did not mean she was an apostle... that the prophetic ministry of Deborah was to the shame of the cowardice males of her day (Judges 4-5). And that the spirit of Jezebel:

Revelation 2:20 (NIV)

20 Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.

But

other translations don't put it quite that way... it wasn't the fact of her teaching that lead the servants astray it was the teaching itself...

Revelation 2:20 (KJV)

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Furthermore, since the New Covenant is not like the Old Covenant (Jeremiah 31:32-34 the text on which the book of Hebrews is based) wherein a particular tribe was the priestly tribe and a particular clan was the priestly clan and the various courses of that clan... to the New Covenant priesthood of all believers.

Revelation 1:6 (KJV)

6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Revelation 5:10 (KJV)

10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

1 Peter 2:3-9 (KJV)

3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

And most believers pass their spiritual duty and obligations off to the "professional" Christians (i.e. the clergy) we are suffering from a greater shortfall (percentage-wise) than in the days of the Prophetess Deborah. And it is better that women preach and teach usurping the authority of men (1 Timothy 2:9-15) than that the Gospel is silenced or severely handicapped by the absence of men and women stepping up to the spiritual ministry each is individually called to.

I since have come to the defense of women pastors and have refocused my efforts to getting pew packing bleacher Christians off their duffs and into the ministry God has called them into individually!!!

I personally believer there are... but far fewer than think they are, or proclaim to be.

I know of a modern prophet who simply put scripture to scripture and came up with the calculation for the 69 of the 70 weeks of Daniel (173,880 days from the time Artaxerxes Longimanus wrote the edict to rebuild Jerusalem to the day the Messiah rode into Jerusalem on the foal of a donkey). • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
