Abraham asked God if there were 10 righteous in all of sodom would he spare it?

we know for a fact there was not, 2 of lots daughters refused to even leave sodom, his wife was turned into a pillar of salt, not just because she turned around, but because she longed for sodom again. His 2 other daughters raped him. At the tower of babel our pride was lifted so high we thought to exalt ourselves unto the Heavens. Noah was the only man and his family to escape the righteous decree of God that all the surface of the earth be cleansed. In the wilderness all had to die that had no faith in God, because they longed for bondage in sin (egypt) rather than freedom in God! Ninevah, babylon, rome, philistines, canaanites, egypt, sumarriah, assyrians, and Israel itself all fell into satans darkness.

My question is this: as more fall into satans traps (sin) does his power in that land increase? Does his influence get stronger or is it that more are simply willing to do satans will?

We know God passes Judgement on the lands that do wickedly.

I don't know the answer to that.

But, James 5:16 assures us that "The prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

And I recollect the powerful intercession of ONE man Moses before God in Exodus 32 when God intended on destroying the children of Israel for their gross disobediences.....and the passage ends relating that because of Moses's intercession

" the Lord relented and did not bring on His people the disaster He had threatened."

Before we give too much power to the enemy, let is remember ALL that we have and ARE in Christ Jesus.

He is still looking for those who will stand in the gap for our nation/s.

If a garden is provided, then satan will grow his 'taters.

I dont know if satans power increases as he is always accountable to God and is limited in his execution of power. God must grant satan permission.

However, it does give him more room to walk around so to speak. We are the light and we are to expose darkness. satan cannot stand the light, he has no power when exposed.

As The otherone said if he goes unchecked and unexposed by the light of Christ, it would appear to some that he has more power, but actually it is he has more room in darkness to practice his deception.

Our enemy prowles about as a roaring lion... the more folks he is able to "devour", the more ammo he has at his disposal.

The fact that the US (large Christian demographic) is still blessed as it is despite the ever-increasing wickedness here is proof that this is the age of restraint!

God is sparing the new Sodom, which has covered the whole world, for the sake of His people, because He will not destroy the righteous with the wicked.

The day is coming when that won't be a problem.

Pray for America... pray for the world.

We need to remember WHO we ARE and WHAT we HAVE through Jesus Christ.

He .."having disarmed the powers and authorities, made a public spectale of them triumphing over them by the cross." Col 2:15

Christ is our victory even today in face of the horrendous evil of our day.

Let's not give to over to the enemy, that which has already been won for us by our Lord.

I just taught on this last night.

The illustration I like to give is the one where the disciples come back from ministering, and they tell Jesus about all the sick healed and the miracles done. Jesus replied that "He saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning." As we do the things of the Kingdom of God, we take from Satan his Kingdom of Darknesses territory. Imagine a round black circle. That is Darkness. Now hold white paint above it and allow for drops to hit this circle. The white is Gods kingdom. When the white hits the black, it is not only more white, the circle is less black. Each time we do the Kingdom, we take from Satan and add to Gods Kingdom. When you lead someone to the Lord, you are doing Spiritual warfare because you have taken some of Satans property away.

I also like to couple this with "What is the meat of the Word." Jesus in John 4 with the woman at the well was asked by the disciples about his need to eat. His response after ministering to this woman and the Samaritans was "My meat is to do the will of the Father."

When ever I hear someone speak of how meaty a word was, I remember this passage. What is spoken from preachers at best is "regurgitated" meat. But when you do the will of the Father, you are getting meat off the grill. The meat is what we do with what we know. It is what adds to our spirit muscle. Spiritual warfare is not only accomplished in prayer, but in the action after the prayer. It is not enough to just get on the tallest building in town and tell demons to come down. You must go back down to their territory and fight for their property. Usurp his authority by operating in Gods authority.

Satan and his minions only have the power that is relinquished to them. The more opportunities that they are given, the more they spread their darkness. This will cause the illusion that darkness is gaining in power, but even darkness at its fullest can be destroyed by one beam of light. As Christians, people of the light, we have the chance to constantly dispel the darkness as long as we aren't cowed into keeping our light under the bushel. I've never to this day seen anyone who was able to turn on darkness to get rid of the light, nor have I ever seen anyone turn on a light that didn't vanquish darkness. So I guess I'm saying that any time Satan's power seems to be growing, I don't tend to worry so much about him as I do about myself and my fellow believers, and what is keeping our light from shining.

Satan only has the power we give. Remember this was our world and is now again by the victory at the cross. CHRIST'S OWN WORDS : IT IS FINISHED! WE WON! Do NOt GIVE ANYTHING, ANY TIME , IN ANY FORM TO HIM.And by the way read what the bible say's when we do meet this Satan. THis is the one that made the nations tremble. BE WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
