There are several versions of Come thou... of which this is my favorite. I scarce can continue to sing when I get to the end of the second verse.

LT

COME THOU FOUNT OF EVERY BLESSING

Come thou fount of every blessing, Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;

Streams of mercy, never ceasing, Call for songs of loudest praise.

Teach me some melodious sonnet, Sung by flaming tongues above;

Praise the mount! I

Here's another one of my favorites:

THE CORONATION SONG

Someday when the toils of life are over, And the saints are caught away

We will gather round the throne of Jesus, For his coronation day

Chorus

I'm gonna be there when we crown him King of Kings;

I'm gonna be there when the courts of heaven ring

With the happy song the angel chorus sings;

I'm gonna be there when we crown him King of Kings.

Only those who put their faith in Jesus, trust the work of calvary;

Will behold that crowning day in heaven, day of final victory!

All the universe will be assembled, numberless the gathering there;

Angel hosts & all the ransomed army, glorious sight beyond compare.

oh, three of my favorites have already been listed!!! ("draw me close", "this is my desire", and come thou founts")

3 more of mine:

"Psalm 139" by Amy's Confession

Lord, You've searched me and You know me

when i'm sitting down and when i rise.

You've percieved my thoughts from far away;

You know every word that's on my tongue.

Where can i flee from Your spirit, Lord?

even darkest night is to You as light!

there is nothing on this earth that i can do

to separate myself from You.

thank You Jesus, thank You Lord,

thank You Father, i have been restored;

thank You Jesus, thank You Lord,

thank You Father, i have been restored!

"when i think about the Lord"

When i think about the Lord,

how He raised me, how He changed me,

how He filled me with the Holy Ghost,

how He healed me to the uttermost,

when i think about the Lord,

how He picked me up, turned me around,

how He placed my feet on solid ground,

it makes me want to shout:

Hallelujah! thank You Jesus!

Lord, You're worthy of all the glory,

and all the honor, and all the praise!

it makes me want to shout,

Hallelujah! thank You, Jesus!

Lord, You're worthy of all the glory,

and all the honor, and all the praise!

"How Great Thou Art"

Oh Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder

Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made,

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,

Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Then sings my soul my savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

Then sings my soul my savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, oh Lord how great Thou art!

When Christ shall come,

With shout of acclamation

To take me home,

What joy shall fill my heart.

Then I shall bow in humble adoration,

And there proclaim my God how great Thou art!

Then sings my soul my savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

Then sings my soul my savior God to Thee

How great Thou art, oh Lord how great Thou art!

You are Worthy

Any crown I've ever worn, I lay it down.

Any praise I've ever gained, I give it all to You.

For there's nothing in this world that can compare, for You alone are worthy.

You alone are worthy.

For you open up Your hand and satisfy.

I give you all the glory, give you all the glory!

You are worthy O Lord, of all honor!

You are worthy to receive all praise!

In Your presence I live, and with all I have to give, I will worship You, honor You, glorify Your holy Name!

"Still" by Hillsong

Hide me now

Under your wings

Cover me

within your mighty hand

When the oceans rise and thunders roar

I will soar with you above the storm

Father you are king over the flood

I will be still and know you are God

Find rest my soul

In Christ alone

Know his power

In quietness and trust

This song every time I hear it helps me get my focus back in place.

Heart of Worship

By: Matt Redman

When the music fades, and all is stripped away, and I simply come

Longing just to bring, something thats of woth, that will bless Your heart

Bridge

I'll bring you more than a song, for a song in itself, is not what you have required

You search much deeper within, through the way things appear

Your looking into my heart

Chorus

I'm coming back to the heart of worship

And it's all about You

It's all about You, Jesus

I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it

When it's all about You

It's all about You Jesus

King of endless worth, no one could express, how much you deserve

Though I'm weak and poor, all I have is Yours, every sing breath

Even typing it helps me once again get my focus off of me. :il:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
