Ron Paul is starting a campaign to impeach Obama primarily for the death of Anwar Al-Awlaki. As a Constitutionally defined traitor and enemy combatant, I contend that Mr. Awlaki died in the course of combat while making war against the United States, and that had he been captured, he would have stood trial and been convicted.

The Constitution defines treason as specific acts, namely the levying of War against the United States, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. Anwar Al-Awlaki has most definitely done this. He is by Constitutional definition, a traitor, being a natural born US citizen.

What say you all?

Being a traitor does not mean we can assassinate him without due process....... but being an enemy combatant does. Congress gave the president the go ahead to do such things in 2001. I personally think it's rather dangerous to put that kind of power in the hands of the president, but they did. I do believe that there should be a multiple judge court that should be an oversight to make sure the president does not abuse that power and/or make mistakes.

But as it stands I don't see this as an impeachable offense, he's just doing what Congress told his predecessor to do.

My point is that AA's demise in the course of lawful combat was 'dumb luck' if you will. We weren't 'out to get him' in the specific sense, he was one more enemy who just HAPPENED to be an American. And when we get Adam Gadahn, the same. Had we captured him alive, then we could try him for treason. It was in my opinion, the will of God that AA wound up dead. Like with OBL. I thank God that this man was killed in combat, sparing us the expense of trying him. May his death be a lesson to other American citizens who try making war against the US.

If this guy renounced his citizenship would that still make him an American and if so then he would have needed to be tried in absentia and then convicted. If he renounced it that would make him an enemy of the nation wouldn't it?

To the comment about it being Gods will that allowed this man dead, I wonder about that period. In the story of Jonah we read how mad he was that God spared Niniveh yet what we get out of the story is that God does not wish death on anyone but wants all to come to know Him. I do not know the mind of God, cannot tell anyone if He wants specific people dead (I personally do not think its the case at all) but if thats the case then why allow other more evil minded people to live and do their terrible deeds yet decide that this one man needed to die.

shalom,

Mizz

Yes for a specific reason but how can we compare that to this man? I don't think we can at all. God is not using obama to clear out His land for His called out ones is He? I cannot recall where God sent an army to kill one man for any reason but I could have missed it somewhere. I do not think God was the one behind killing this man as it was suggested.

I guess I missed that Mizz. It wasn't God that singled this person out, it was probably Don Rumsfield.... I don't know when we fingered him for destruction...... but it took way too long to suit me..

I agree, B.B. I never would celebrate the death of anyone but this guy needed to be sent to his 'allah'.

Many A Good Men Are Dying In The Defense Of Mr. Ron Paul's Freedom

A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9

Is It Such A Crime Surprise That A Bad Man Might Also Die....

~

Praying For Our Commander-In-Chief

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. 1 Timothy 2:1-6

And For All Those He Commands

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2 Thessalonians 3:1

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

      Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

      This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

      You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

      Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

      I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

      For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

      2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

      So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

      Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
      Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

      Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

      As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

      Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
      Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

      So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
