Even More Calendars Predict End in 2012

There are prophecies that say the sun will rise in the west in the future; one from the Hopi Indians & another from Islam. The Hopi have a lot of prophecies, many of which have come to pass already. One of the best articles I found detailing the prophecies was of Lee Brown (Hopi) giving a 'talk' at the 1986 Continental Indigenous Council in Fairbanks, Alaska http://www.welcomeho...hecy/hopi2.html

By what is written there, it sounds like the sun rising in the west is symbolic of something rather than the physical sun actually being seen to rise in the west.

That could be nebula. They used a lot of symbolism.

Too All

Too many people questioning God's Word. Some saying, But this outside prophecy says this, this one says this, it maybe true - so let us incorporated them as to give answers missing from our Bible.

Don't dabble with these other false spirits. One might as well start using a "weegie-board" misspelled? Microscopic changes of falling away. Accepting prophecies from false religions.

Hi Marv,

None here are questioning God's Word, nor are we dabbling with other spirits. The ancient peoples that made those predictions and MANY people today are under the influence of satan and his followers. Do you think the devil is on vacation? He is working toward the goal of being worshiped as God & he has been since the garden. Why do you think that throughout the ages,the Jewish people & the Christians have been targeted for extermination--because of men? We know from God's Word that at the end time, he will be allowed to bring very evil men that are under his influence/possession into power over the earth. Are we coming into that end time? Outside prophecies aside, the signs in the world seem to say we are.

Do I put those old prophecies over God's Word? NO WAY! I just find it interesting that they are pointing to the time period that we find ourselves in. Did the evil one make it known to the ancients that this time period was significant to him? Don't know, but for some reason, these people all point to this time period. Did God let these things be preserved for us to know? Don't know, But I do know what He said would be coming upon the world in the end time and a lot of those old prophecies line up in a lot of ways with what He said.

I sort of hope that shiloh is right & that it is all hogwash, but it sure doesn't look that way. Especially taking into account what is being said today by folks being saved out of the occult. I do not want anyone to be taken by surprise by what the enemy is doing. He isn't going to just pop on the scene & say "here I am". A deceptive plan is under way & we need to be aware of it.

I commented earlier in this thread that I believe the Bible states that we are not to be ignorant of the enemies devices so that we are not deceived and taken advantage of by him. However, I think I want to add some further thoughts to this conversation.

1) Can we be really certain that all of these calendar predictions are really the enemies plans laid out for us to see? Possibly, yes, but in no way certain as far as I can tell. It does seem to be too much to be coincidence. But could they be something like cultural myths going way back to a common origin or something? It seems possible to me.

2) Even if they are "prophecies" given by demonic spirits, we must remember that Satan is the "father of lies." Therefore, I don't see why we have to accept that this is indeed what he has planned for the year 2012.

3) If these prophecies really do come from demonic spirits and this is indeed what Satan has planned, any of if will only come to pass to the degree that the Lord allows it.

4) And nothing that will come to pass will ever contradict what He has already revealed to us in the Bible.

5) Therefore, although I believe it is possible that something might happen related to these prophecies at the end of next year, I don't see how it could be the "end of the world" as these prophecies seem to indicate. I think only time will tell if there is anything at all to it or not.

The absolute bottom line in all of this is this: God is the one that is ever and always in complete control of what will happen on this earth at any given time.

I know some of this has already been said by others. I guess it is a summing up of what I am thinking on the subject at this time.

Well, As it was in the days of Noah....... so it will be before our Lord returns..... depending on just how far you care to take that Shiloh, all these things are more than just possible..... When Satan is finally kicked out of the heavens and is pretty much locked into here, just how will he and his fallen angel followers expose themselves to the population of planet earth...

Speculation.... yes it is..... but as you say that you know it's not possible....... well, we'll see how it goes..... and I'm not out on a limb, for I'm just putting out possibilities, not prophecies, and doing so to get people's attention so as to not let them think these beings are something extra special and not something to worship, for I think that is what they will expect..

Anyway if it does pass with nothing at all happening, then old Lucifer will have passed up a really good chance to be in charge in the open down here. but we'll see.

Maybe the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 because that was as far as the Mayans got before the Spanish invaded....just saying.

Nice attempt at twisting Scripture. That verse is talking about those who are not looking for the Lord's return. Totally different here. I don't have any fear of the future because my faith is in Jesus. I am not looking for ghosts behind every corner and filling people with a bunch of junk about prophecies from pagan cultures. I have learned that Scripture has the final say on this.

Like the Pantheon in Rome. That still has engineers scratching their heads. It shows a very advanced knowldge of engineering and physics. Kinda deflates our modern ego as if people who lived in ancient times didnt know anything. The Romans were quite advanced even by our standards today.

True. The Romans accomplished fantastic things. I have stated before I believe the people of ancient times were far more intelligent with the knowledge they had developed or been given. In the early ninties I started studying the Egyptians and anything "out of the box", man they were way out there in terms of uncanny knowledge. I think of the Pyramids, the biggest of course being the enigma, though the entire plateau is an exact representation of the system of Sirius. There are so many anomalies to the great pyramid that it makes ya wonder how they knew some of these things despite the fact that every noted mainstream archaeologist will not even go in to depth about the symbolism and mysteries that are swarming around Egypt. These things are still incorporated into many of the things around us today (the obelisk in our nations capital is just one example).
