quote: I don't think we will see Judas in heaven, but may encounter him as the end time "son of perdition."

Judas is coming back? I know that is what the antichrist will be called...but there can be more than one, right?

I kinda believe that Judas is an example of someone who really never gave their heart to Jesus and just followed him for selfish reasons (money, power). Just like a lot of christians today....just because he was with the crowd didn't mean he was really saved.

And because he commited suicide...again shows selfishness. He could've instead repented and gone on to spread the gospel like the others.

Excellent points.

Judas is where anyone is who is LOST. He is LOST. Now Jesus himself said that Judas was the Son of Perdition and he is the ONLY one given to Jesus who was LOST. Since Jesus said Judas was LOST, then it makes sense to say he could not be FOUND since he is LOST.

One might indulge the misplaced kindness by saying they would hope to see Lucifer in heaven, but if he were found in such a place then God would be his father. Its logically inconsistent and nonsense.

Blessings!

Its logically inconsistent and nonsense. Lucifer was not made for Heaven, though he began there.... Judas was not made for heaven, though he looked to go there. He could not REPENT. This is why is called the son of perdition.

Repentence was not possible for him. Eternal life had no place in him either. His role in the betrayal of Jesus was necessary to the plan of salvation. This is why he was chosen.

Blessings!

Basically, when he knew he was in trouble, he repented "himself".

I believe that we are all guilty of this to some level. I came to Christ because I was in trouble. I repented because I knew He was the only one who could save me. Judas could have been like the people who wanted Jesus dead. They watched Him die and not onces did they feel remorse about it. They never asked for forgiveness. Jesus Himself asked the Father for forgive for them.

God Bless You

Jacqueline

I believe that Jesus was asking God to forgive ALL OF US..... not just those that drove the nails in, or those that caused the whole ordeal, it was ALL OF US....

like the song says.....

WHO NAILED HIM THERE, THIS MAN OF PEACE AND MERCY, WHO NAILED HIM THERE, COME FACE ME LIKE A MAN, WHO NAILED HIM THERE, MY GOD I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND, THEN I TURNED AND SAW THE HAMMER......

IN MY HAND.....................

Judas showed signs of remorse, not signs of repentance, there is a big differance..... he was so guilt laiden that he could no longer live with himself, so he took his own life rather then relying on God...... the others were alive and had the salvation presented to them, they fully understood what the purpose of Christ being here...... and that was to lay His life down so that we may be able to live our life for Him...... Judas could have lived and repented and been forgiven....... Judas took his life, not anyone else... Judas did not fully understand who Jesus was......

I do not know if Judas made it or not, that is between God and Judas, with Jesus as the mediator.........

Judas was the treasurer of the group....

Judas was more into the earthly things of this world......

some believe that Judas was trying to do simular to Peter, and try to force Jesus to bring His Kingdom to being..... not knowing the full plan of salvation.....

Peter was ready to go to battle for Jesus, all Jesus would have had to say was LETS GO BOYS....... and Peter would have been off....... not knowing the full plan, Peter tended to open mouth and insert foot, on many occassions.....

did Judas make it to Heaven? personally, from the evidence provided, I would have to say he did not..... but again, I am not the judge, Christ Jesus is.....

what is nice about this trial, is that we are not being tried by a jury of our peers, and we are not being judged by a corrupt judge that has an issue to deal with, we are not up against crooked attornies..... WE HAVE CHRIST JESUS AS OUR COUNSLOR....... and that my friend, is all we need to have.......

what about the other guy????? it dont matter about the other guy, it is all about me and my relationship to Christ...... it is all about you and your relationship to Christ.... just like with that police officer that pulled you over..... you got caught breaking the law, and you are getting the ticket, trying to tell the officer that the guy that was just in front of you was doing this that and other dont matter to the police officer, he caught you.... and that is who he is dealing with..... when we stand infront of the Judge ( Christ Jesus ) He will not be asking what the other guy did, He will be asking YOU WHAT YOU DID.......

it wont matter at that time if Judas made it or not.... .the issue then will be whether or not you made it......... you wont even be concerned about anyone else but your own self......

if you die tonight, will you go to heaven.......

if in doubt, it would be best to seek counsel on it..... and that counsler being Jesus Christ....

Any absolute statement about Judas' position in eternity violates Matthew 7:1 people. Be careful not to make an absolute statement on this issue.

What about making statement about Satan's position in eternity?

Revelation 20:9- 10

They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Is that a statement we can determine?

Scripture is clear that the devil will be thrown into a lake of fire forever.

I think that one is quite obvious, plus..God Himself has already declared satan's fate. Thus, if we state it we are only repeating what God has already told us.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
