Do you know that most of our adult lives are spent working? Most people in the work place will never get to experience the love of CHRIST, because they are too busy for church. Christians in the work place need to let their co-workers see JESUS in them. This could be the only times they get to experience Him. JESUS said in Matthew 5:14, "Ye are the light of the world". He also said in verse 16, "Let your light so shine that they may see your good works and glorify your FATHER which is in heaven". Be a light to this world that is full of darkness. We are the reflection of a greater LIGHT that is JESUS (John 1:6-9). Let someone see what JESUS can do. Let someone see how JESUS can make a difference in a life that has no meaning. Let someone see the love, the compassion, the kindness, the giving, the hope that CHRIST does bring. Tell someone about the peace, the comfort, the strength, the mercy, the forgiveness that is offered from Him. We can make a difference just by how we present ourselves before others. So remember, be a light to someone today.

Good post! My husband has difficulty with his boss doing this, but he continues with faith! His boss will laugh and mock us for being so involved in church. He calls us names, pretending to be joking, but anyone can see that there is underlying bitterness with his perception of Christians as being "goody-two-shoes". ::sigh:: One day the Lord will overcome!

Nice post:

I would like to add my opinion here; that unless our job is to preach, then we should be busy doing our job, which is not preaching. As you have stated, by showing we are blessed. How are we blessed? Not by the things of this world. The LORD's promise to us in this world is peace of mind.

Psa 29:11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

2Co 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Before I start my work in the mornings,I meet with several other christians and we have prayer. You can be busy at work and still let your light shine before others.Just by being nice to someone near you or saying" thank you or please".You dont have to preach to show others who you live for.Actions speak volumes.I dont leave my faith at home,I bring it with me to work.

BB, My friend Amen, We have to be of God at all times including work. What a great place to witness in a quiet way. Or a loud way if God desires it. Out in the real world (work etc.) many reject God, but if we can share just a glimpse of His Love with Co-workers , then He can do his work even there, even in a place where God is the last thing on there mind. Praise be to Our Lord, Michael :t2:

Excellent post!

This is something that I used to struggle with (and sometimes still do). I was so cautious of how others perceived me, and I would beat myself up over things I said and did. But one day as I was sitting in my car about to head to work, I prayed and told God that from that day forward I was going to change my attitude with His help,of course. Since them, He has opened up opportunities for me to share my faith with non-believers and believers alike. He continues to bless my life more and more. :il:

In the work place when someone visit for an injury or some sort of sickness or a small paper cut. I treat each person as if they have a major illiness or injury going on, because that might be the only attention that they get the whole day. I also have a candy jar in my office, because let me tell you; candy opens many conversations, struggles that are going on in their lives, hurts, or family/marriage problems.

I've had ppl talk about increasing their relationship with Jesus. I pray with them if they ask, and if not I just tell them that I am praying for them.

I had one co-worker tell everyone that the reason I am happy all the time is because I had too much sugar as a child. Well, one day I spoke with him and told him instead of telling ppl I had too much sugar, to tell them that Jesus in my heart makes me happy all the time.

Then, I told him that I would like to see him in heaven one day and gave him a tract and told him how to recieve Jesus into his heart. He just stood there with his mouth open and his eyes very big. Never said a word too me. He did take the tract and never mentioned the sugar anymore.

I enjoy sharing Jesus with my co-workers!!!

Great thread Brother BB!

I am blessed to work for our Youth/Assoc. Pastor, and also 4 other christians in our company , Its great that the Lord has allowed me to work in the heating and air conditioning field .. i get to get out into folks homes and at times kinda get to see when folks are hurting inside and get to share the love of Christ with so many ... like our brother said .. i don't beat them over the head with the WORD .. but just try to show the love of Christ that lives inside of me . And if The oppurtunity rises and I feel led , I ask them can I pray for them and I've found that most the time people are very receptive of that .. it plants a small seed that can grow, May we be The light that shines to The World!!

Love in Christ yur Bro ......... Chuck

Being a Christian is not just a Sunday thing, and not just preachers are suppose to preach. We are suppose to live our lives to the glory of God, and be an example in word and deed for others to want to be like us.

My boss knows very well that I will never work on a Sunday, don't ask, the answer is no.

Next, I will not cheat a customer, not bend the rules or alter the truth.. Now that is suppose to be just the way things go, but we all know manycompanies that prefer only half truths to get customers.

And if your company is doing things that are just wrong, are you willing to leave, change jobs ( even if it is at alot less money) for the principle.

It is in your everyday work that shows if you are really a Chrsitian or not,

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
