Why I No Longer Believe in the 7 years of Tribulation

When he calls anyone who believes differently than he does pew sheep and has to tell you how much eschatology he knows, like he is some kind of brilliant authority on the subject, it kind of discredits anything he has to say. He may be 100% right but insults and arrogance is not a good way to get your point across.

You beat me to it. Well said.

Insults and arrogance . . . perhaps the gentleman should have a look at Gal 5:22-23 where Paul lists the fruit of the Spirit pretty clearly. Something is lacking is all I'm saying.

I often read these arguments concerning Daniel and end times prophecies, I have been taught those errors. I read the debates and how people espouse their knowledge of eschatology. And the whole debate is sad because Daniel has nothing to do with eschatology. Apparently some bibles throw in their interpretations mixed with translations. No where does it say the one cut off was the Messiah, that is an interpretation. But many will continue this argument while refusing to research the truth that the one cut off was Onias III and the little horn was Antiochus IV. Some seem encapable of exercising discernment. But thr errors will continue and people will spend their last breath defending them.

One of the problems is that most everyone thinks that eschatology has to do always with the Second Coming. It doesn't. Eschatos means last in order, but not necessarily last in time. Daniel's prophecy has to do not with the 2d Coming, but the end of the Jewish age. All 70 AD did was end the types and shadows of the Jewish Age and usher in the Messianic age.

The ending of the daily sacrifice mentioned in Daniel refers to Christ's atonement once and for all which ended the need for the rituals. Christ's death occurred in the midst of the 70th week.

I still believe in the seven year trib, because the saints are to arrive on the scene after the trib, but first the seven year Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

i used to believe in the 7 year tribulation, but the more i think about it the less curtain i am for this main reason- jesus said know one can know when his return will be as it will be like a theif in the night. if the 7yr trib. theory is correct then we would be able to pinpoint the date of christ return just by counting down from the 1st day of the 7yr tribulation

Matthew 24:22 ". . . for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

You didn't quote what or who you are referring to, and so I'll inject that there is a difference in the trial of our faith (Sufferings) in 1 Peter 1:7 as a Christian that brings growth and reward to our lives, and that of the temptation to come upon all the world in Revelation 3:10. 2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to rightly divide the word of truth which I don't always do either, and 2 Peter 3:18 tells us to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Blessings in Christ Jesus.

all they that shall live godly lives shall suffer persecution per paul to timothy.

so when we are persecuted why did the jesus say that blessed are they that persecuted for theirs is the kingdom of god

2 timothy 3

12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

thats a promise

in one thessialonians it says this

16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

that is the rapture is it not and when it happen how it comfor the trib saints as that has just happen so they get what? the wrath of god to deal with.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus).

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
