Please let me know as soon as abolitionists publicly underscore a call for a concentrated law against individuals with murderous intent killing innocent citizens walking along the street, minding their own business. This call by abolitionists should insist on the death penalty after a trial by peers and after one rejected appeal. And when will the abolitionists parade outside prison walls AND outside State Houses with their candles. placards & hymn-singing on behalf of the innocent citizens, including boys & girls, who were ruthlessly murdered? Any time soon? Any time at all? Probably not, yes? Abolition needs overhauling, root and branch.

there are innocents in any court system. all we can do is try not to charge them with a crime. we are alot closer to that day then a few decades ago.we executed bin laden on far less evidence then the average american would need to be executed.

Well actually Bin Laden was not executed he was shot during a raid but that is beside the point .

I agree that we are closer than a few decades ago ..however the issue is more than what is the best direction to move in in regards to how we try an individual ..it is about a human life .. the value of one human life should call our attention and upmost efforts to ensuring that NO ONE is executed unjustly .. the best way to do that is to abolish the practice altogether ,

actually there was no attempt to take him alive and the orders were to kill him not capture. sorry i disagree. i train the in army national guard to run prisons and all these violent offenders are held in solitary both in civilian jails and military. they dont get much time out in the light. now imagine 40 years of that. what would you choose if you knew you are guilty? death or that till you die?

You missed something i said he was killed in a raid ..It was indeed a raid he was not executed ..To answer your question i would choose to live regardless but i would find a way to escape so that point is actually moot ..Also are we talking about terrorists here or death row in general ?

both as we have killed him and if you did that in war time we would be fully authorised(depending on roe) to shoot to kill. and im sure the well armed citizens wouldnt mind assisting in your capture.

In my case there would be no capture in the first place that was my point earlier ..As far as well armed citizens ..Whom are you thinking about ? The well armed citizens who detest the presence of US troops ..who are our enemies ..Or the well armed citizens here in the United States .. If it is the former i promise you would not find cooperatives so willing and if it is the latter the issue of well armed citizens in the USA cooperating would be retarded by the fact that as Americans we are so divided, that it would be a key stone cop scenario ..Of course i being captured , shot or escaping is a fantasy ..stemming from a previous example ...Personally i detest violence and am far from being a terrorist ..NOW lets get back to the subject of the death penalty itself in the context of civilian courts not military courts ..thank you ..

My understanding of the new testament is that you shoukdnt have the death penalty. Personally I woukdnt execute even my worst enemies.

From what I remember there is a story somewhere in the Bible where Jesus said" " Let him who is without sin cast the first stone" for something that the old testament law would condemn het to death.

Now somewhere in the new testament Jesus sais that he did not come to destroy the law but to confirm it. How do you explain that?

Also, I have another question and that is can someone reason for me why did God change from fight your enemies to love your enemies? It's a question many people ask when they talk about Christianity.

I'm against

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill." Matt. 5:17

"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, & pray for those who spitefully use you & persecute you." Matt. 5:44

Bc God is love...

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; & everyone who loves is born of God & knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." 1John 4:7-8

"In this love, not that we loved God, but that HE loved US & sent. His Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1John 4:10

"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgement you judge, you will be judged; & with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. & why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, & then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Matt. 7:1-3 & 5

I voted for the death penalty in Arizona when I was unsaved. Since then Ive wondered if I should be in favor of it or not. A large part of me wonders not about the rightness or wrongness of their convictions but whether or not the death penalty shortens the time they have to get saved. Do we as a society have that right to determine they should be executed and by that have less time to get to know the Lord? Hope Im never on a jury to decide such a fate. I could not.

Practically every convicted murderer claims total innocence re their dastardly deeds just as a vicious dog-owner assures one and all that "My dog has never bitten anybody!" I read your list and remain decidedly underwhelmed in view of the fact that their juries saw the clear-cut evidence which led to their convictions. Their appeals werre heard & denied in a court of law. In point of fact I believe that six of those specific convicted killers were turned down after later investigation re any discrepancy. Convicted murderers don't really appreciate the idea of their being duly executed by the State for horrendous crimes after a trial by peers & a finding of guilt. They much prefer to live on and on for decades at your expense even tho their slaughtered victims lie a-rotting in their tombs!

I also note that you somehow failed to mention the complete & proven innocence of each of their slaughtered victims! Why were those innocent victims executed without so much as a bat of the eyelash, a trial by jury, a date of death or a final visit by a Judeo-Christian counselor! Why no mention?

The death penalty remains the most effective instrument in a court's arsenal for guaranteeing that copnvicted killer will never murder anyone ever again which, of course, is the prime reason for the implementation of the death penalty, ie, to exact a life for a life. Those who do not respect innocent human life must be prepared to sacrifice their own in the light of, for instance, Genesis 9:6 which, of course, has never been rescinded or altered by the Creator-God. And again, when will abolitionists commence candle-light hymn-sings & prayers outside the residences (or at the grave-sites) of murdered individuals including innocent boys & girls? Any time soon? Moss-back abolition, in our estimation, has long run its course.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
