The real truth about the 3 “Persons” of the Trinity

To me, the word “persons” can only refer to human beings!

The sexual explanation

Since all spirit beings are sexless …

they cannot actually be masculine "persons", but they must be neuter "it"s.

So, I look on the Triune Godhead as being 3 "Manifestations" of God.

And I look on angels and demons as neuter "it"s, and not masculine spirits.

The reason for the 3 “Persons”

God knows how difficult it would be for us to have a personal relationship with an "It".

So, the Triune God decided to portray "Themselves" as three "Persons"

... just for us ... just so we could relate to Them.

This is just one more demonstration of God’s great love for us.

The First Member ... Father God

The Second member ... the Son of God

The Third Member ... the Holy Spirit

(The Spirit is the humble Work-horse of the Godhead, and does not desire any praise.)

Specifically about “the Son of God”

If He was not made sexually, and if He was not created by God, how did He come into being?

Answer: He always was, He always existed (John 1:1).

But, how could anything that always existed ... be some kind of “Son”?

The "Son of God" is a name-title-term … a term of endearment used throughout the OT.

Gabriel told Mary to call the Baby: Jesus, the Son of the Highest, and the Son of God.

Gabriel never said that He was these things … He was just to be given these names.

It’s all about you and God

Would you feel comfortable trying to have a personal relationship with an "It"?

The NT says you must have a “knowing” relationship with Jesus to be a sheep-elect:

John 10:7-28, John 17:3, with the Holy Spirit dwelling and leading (Romans 8:14, 2 Timothy 2:19).

I have always heard that your blue means ... created with body, soul (mind, will, emotions), and spirit.

The titles were chosen to get attention ... to get the threads read.

I.E. They're not just "more threads on the Trinity".

They're different.

Do you have any Scripture references from the Holy Bible to indicate this? God's Word always refers to God in the masculine gender. Um? - God The Father - God The Son - Masculine. In terms of "Personality", each member of the Godhead has a personality more complex than any human being could imagine - on the opposite end of the spectrum from being an "it".

Have you considered Hebrews 1:1-4 (NKJV)?

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

The word "person" here is G5287. A simple definition is:

1) a setting or placing under

.....a) thing put under, substructure, foundation

2) that which has foundation, is firm

.....a) that which has actual existence

..........1) a substance, real being

.....b) the substantial quality, nature, of a person or thing

.....c) the steadfastness of mind, firmness, courage, resolution

..........1) confidence, firm trust, assurance

There are more meanings to the word person then we are normally familiar with. Drilling deeper into words gives a firmer and fuller understanding.

Thank you for sharing this. It lead me to also look at 'express image' which is a single Greek word denoting 'character'. The 'character of his substance' no wonder the KJV translators decided to go with 'express image of his person' which also is related to Hebrews 9:1 'faith is the substance' that goes on to display the actions which are a product of that faith and therefore the substance of it as Jesus is the 'character image' of God the Father in the flesh.

Short and to the point, most of the time I skip over them, which I have basically done here, only reading some of the responses form my Christian brothers and sisters. The title reminds me of the last group of JW's that dropped by my house.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, He is very Real, as is Abba Father and the Holy Spirit, and there is a Heaven and a Hell, to which ALL people on the face of this planet will get to see either Heaven or Hell for themselves when the time comes.
