In the boards that I have been a member of, I have noticed a trend of people making an announcement that they are leaving a particular board. It puzzles me because when a board no longer meets my needs I just quietly disappear.

I wonder what the motivation is for making an announcement. Do the people want other board members to beg them to remain? Are they looking for people to agree with their points and if they don't, they leave, but make a big announcement? Will that clench the argument in their favor? Does it bring more attention to them? It just puzzles me.

If someone is hurting or hurt by a comment, would it not be better to openly state the hurt, PM the person who hurt them and ask for an explaination. Or point out what is bothering them openly?

Perhaps it is the same phenomenon that motivates some people to church hop. My pastor once said that going from church to church will not solve the problem. That churches are places where we, as living stones, rub against each other and learn to fit together to build a corporate temple. If we leave, we leave a hole, but also do not learn the lessons that can be learned even through the difficult times. That often the problem with a church lies within the person leaving and when they go to a new church, they will find the same problem until they stay and face it. That does not mean that there is never justification for leaving a board or a church, but that if it is a trend that one notices in onesself, that maybe it is time to look deeper within.

I am not meaning to offend anyone by this post, but sincerely am just puzzled. I find myself praying for those who leave, hoping they find the peace that they are seeking wherever they end up.

Over time relationships are built through the board. When someone makes a decision to leave then probably the announcement of that decision is intended for that person's friends, acquaintances, and whoever might be affected.

I can't speak knowledgably if this is similar to the church-hopping phenomenon.

May well be that they sense something that they want to help go away and don't know how to deal with it any other way.

It is sort of like saying,"Something's wrong here and I am having troublel dealing with it..... can someone please tell me why I should stay here."

This is a good place with a few high minded people that you can ignore if you will.

Folks have come to know and believe here and that's a good thing to be part of.

Sometimes people get their feelings hurt. Sometimes they just feel "invisible". I do think in some cases they need to just be cuddled and encouraged.

When I've gotten really frustrated, I've had good friends hug me and encourage me and yes,....it helps.

So, I'm sorry for those who disagree but sometimes a big hug goes a long way.

It could be they have serious problems at home and need a friend who cares.

This is one way to say, "I do care. I'm here for you."

By the way, there's times when I throw my arms up into the air and say, "Lord, I give up!" And that's when His sweet, loving Spirit holds me close and reassures me.

Well how long is a piece of string?

Why do people announce that are leaving from a forum?

Maybe they have made a few friends over the time they have been on the forum and want to say goodbye.

Maybe they might not be sure if they have any friends and say good bye just in case there might be someone at the boards that might be hurt and worry what has happened to them. Maybe they might think you have died?

Maybe it might be to find out if anyone really cares if they stay or leave?

Maybe their message has been comprehensively rejected and it is a way for protest?

Maybe they just feel that it is good manners to tell people you will no longer be on the boards?

There are probably many other reasons why people say good bye. If i decide to leave this board i will post a good bye letter for sure.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
