By the way, I'm not advocating it. I'm telling you that from my cultural experience that Americans aren't going to continue to live under the thumb of an oppresive Government whether you believe it's a wise choice or not.

Whatever I think is irrelevant, such behaviour would be wrong.

According to whom?

amour, I won't attempt to answer for Dave, but I would like to bring attention to your scripture. There is a big difference in what Jesus was talking about in his day and today.

We do not have an emperor in the US, our controlling force here is the Constitution and Law. It is not the President, or Congress or the Supreme Court for that matter. We are not a Democracy, but a Republic, so we don't necessarily do things by the rule of the majority.

However I do agree with you that we do have a legally elected Congress, but I'm not sure about the President, but I won't push that right now.

but the crux of the problem is whether or not the Affordable Healthcare Act is Constitutional. Some people do not think that it is, and we as a nation are going to have to work through this and resolve it. but your misuse of scripture here bothered me enough to want to reply.

What constitutional hurdles remain? whether you like it or not the Supreme Court is the ultimate arbitrator and affirms the constitutionallegality of this law legality. Some of you might not agree, but since you aren't Supreme Court justices or Congressmen or the President your not in a position to do anything to stop these laws coming into force. As to my use of the Bible. Well the currency you use is issued by the governing powers as was the currency in Rome. Furthermore the Roman regime had no Constitutional checks and balances, was tyrannical and extremly violent. Remember it was they who went on to crucify Jesus. You may not like your modern Caesars but it is still them that issue and control the money in your wallets an bank accounts. One of the things Jesus teaches us is to detach ourselves from materialist obsessions

LoL in reality Evelyn Rothschild has more to do with the money in my wallet than does any US politician.

Google Evelyn Rothschild and you'll mainly antisemitic conspiracy sites claiming that he is part of a secret cabal who control the world, rather nasty stuff!

The teaching of Jesus! What Christian justification could you find for murdering, becausing using arms against them would presumably lead to death, government officials going about their business. THis law has been introduced by your President, passed by your congress and declared constitutional by your Supreme Court. However unhappy you might be about it terrorism is not a solution.

I've already stated that Pacifism is a foreign concept in Christian Scripture.

I'm telling you that from a cultural context that Americans are not going to stand for this and who said anything about Christians? Not all Americans are Christian. You appear to be looking at this from the context of a European Socialist steeped in the ideals of Pacifism and emboldened by the ideology of indentured servitude, but that's not the American Ideal or Cultural context and it's definately not the Christianity that I subscribe to.

Had men like William Wilberforce subscribed to your wrong headed view of Christianity we'd still have slavery.

There is actually much much more to that story than you saw on the national News.. Jana Davis wrote a very good book about the things that were found by local people that you most likely have never heard.

You didn't answer the question.

An uprising is still an uprising. Rebelling against thegoverning authority is still rebelling against the governing authority. Rioting is still rioting. ...

People will and always have rebelled against tyrants and I assume that if I were living in a tyranny such as Egypt under Mubarak I might do so myself and I certainly see no justification for attacking others for doing so. The USA is a functioning democratic state and in such a state merely being on the losing side does not justify resorting to armed struggle.
