WHAT'S UP WITH THIS?

Hi: It's me again...

A short while ago, I went to the mailbox to pick up the mail. I find a envelope addressed to me, and also in the top left corner it reads:

"Carly, enclosed is your Green Acts 19 Prayer Handkerchief to help you start receiving God's Blessings!"

I didn't know that I needed a "Prayer Handkerchief" in order to receive God's Blessings.

Am I missing out on something?

No you are not missing out on nothing. Many False teachers send out hankerchiefs claim that if you use it and send it back with a money donations of course."ching ching" LOL They Say That God will bless you with a miracles if you use it. This is base on a misunderstanding of Acts 19 11-12where it says God did specials miracles by the hands of paul So that from his Body were brought unto the sick handerchiefs or aprons and the diseases departed from them and te evil spirits went out of them. You notice this only a one time event paul never did this again. plus Paul never ask for money for his hannkerchief like the false teachers do today. You see God many miracles through Paul to confirm his words but as time went on as Paul grew older and the Word was Confirm mircacles came to become less and less. For Example Paul said in 2 tim 4:20 paul says he left trophimus have I left at miletum sick "what no hankerchief for trophimus lol " You see as time went on and as more of the NT was written Mircales became less and less. While I do believe God can do mircales acording to his Soverign Will.You have to rember it not always God will to heal. You do not need a Hankercheif with snake oil on from these False teachers. Many of these Mircales claim by these False teachers are Really False mircales. Which the Bible says will happen in the last days before the return of our LORD.

It is interesting that the handkerchief is green. Some of these false teachers send out different colors that stand for different things. They will send out red prayer cloths for healing, green for financial prosperity, another color if you are believing for a House or something else. I forget all of the colors. Reminds me of how the New Agers use different color crystals for the same purposes. I would just toss it in the trash. It is just a bunch of hooey.

one more thought , they are trying to seperate you from your money any gimic they will try untill they find one that pushes your button.

If you want them to stop sending you stuff like that write them and ask them for money tell them you have a need and that you want their help. You will be off their mailing list so fast.................

I agree that some of this stuff is useless, but let's not forget that GOD HAS MOVED IN THAT WAY BEFORE. Years back, after a particularly deep time of spiritual preparation, I was led to cut up the shirt I had I worn while preaching a revival meeting. I carried a few of the pieces with me, giving one out here and there to sick and afflicted people with whom I came into contact. The testimonies were extraordinary.

Don't get too carried away with your humor; there's a line we can cross somewhere between good cheer and mockeryof the divine....
