Encouraging..thanks for posting this. It brings to mind the scripture that we should walk by faith and not by sight.

Yes WIP! May I just say that I like your name? :)

2 Cor. 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Hope this song encourages you. Check it out and listen here:

Walk by Faith - Jeremy Camp

Would I believe you when you would say

Your hand will guide my every way

Will I receive the words You say

Every moment of every day

[chorus]

Well I will walk by faith

Even when I cannot see

Well because this broken road

Prepares Your will for me

Help me to win my endless fears

You've been so faithful for all my years

With one breath You make me new

Your grace covers all I do

yeah, yeah , yeah, yeah, yeah, ya

[chorus]

Well I'm broken- but I still see Your face

Well You've spoken- pouring Your words of grace

[chorus x2]

Well hallelujah, hallelu

(I will walk by faith)

Well hallelujah, hallelu

(I will walk by faith)

I will walk, I will walk, I will walk by faith

I will, I will, I will walk by faith

God bless,

GE

Thank you for your beautiful words GoldenEagle.   I especially appreciated your words about when things are going good.  It's so easy to slip back and begin to trust ourselves and our circumstances.  But you're so right...it is only an illusion of security.  I'd never thought of it that way.  The only true security I will ever have is God.

Hi Kakieanne :)

It's easy to remember God's goodness in the good times. It's in the tough times we have to re-focus on God.

Psalm 19:1-6

The heavens declare the glory of God;

And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Day unto day utters speech,

And night unto night reveals knowledge.

There is no speech nor language

Where their voice is not heard.

Their linehas gone out through all the earth,

And their words to the end of the world.

In them He has set a tabernacle for the sun,

Which is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,

And rejoices like a strong man to run its race.

Its rising is from one end of heaven,

And its circuit to the other end;

And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

Reminds me of this song. I hope you like it. Listen to it here:

Jesus, King of my heart

Father, my peace and my light

Spirit, the joy of my soul You are

Jesus, to you none compare

Father, I rest in Your care

Spirit, the hope of my heart You are

CHORUS:

The heavens declare You are God

And the mountains rejoice

The oceans cry Alleluia

As we worship You Lord

For this is our Song of Love

Jesus, You save my soul

I'll thank You forevermore

Jesus, the love of my life You are

CHORUS

Jesus, I am in awe

Of the love that You have shown

Jesus, how precious You are to me

CHORUS

Yes,the tough times is when your knees get sore from all the sessions with our Father.

Amen GE, even when we become overwhelmed by lives  circumstances  we can quickly recover our mindset when we realize in who our hope is" Praise the Lord!"

Will your anchor hold?

1. Will your anchor hold in the storms of life,
when the clouds unfold their wings of strife?
When the strong tides lift and the cables strain,
will your anchor drift or firm remain?

We have an anchor that keeps the soul
steadfast and sure while the billows roll,
fastened to the rock which cannot move,
grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love!

2. Will your anchor hold in the straits of fear,
when the breakers roar and the reef is near?
While the surges rave and the wild winds blow,
shall the angry waves then your bark o'er flow?

3. Will your eyes behold through the morning light
the city of gold and the harbour bright?
Will you anchor safe by the heavenly shore,
when life's storms are past forever more?

It's not always easy but God did not promise a easy life but a safe ending:)

Those are true words of encouragement. Remind me of this lovely song

Would you Anchor hold in the storms of life....................

We have an anchor that keeps the soul steadfast and sure

Fastened to the rock which cannot  move

Grounded, firm and  deed in Savior's hand

I love this song but don't know all the words!!!

Dear Golden Eagle,

God has blessed you with the wonderful ability to bless others with words of encouragement,I pray He continues to bless you bountifully....let us take a moment to give Him,ALL THE GLORY!!!!

I really like when people are honest enough in doing a self examination,I know I must frequently take a close look at my motives and ask God to reveal to me what is in my heart that needs to be brought to my attention(that is displeasing to Him).....Thank you ,my brother in Christ for sharing with us the imperfect heart and mind we all have,as you expressed your tendancies to become more self reliant when things are going good, how quickly we can forget Gods mercy for us all.....His new mercies each and every day, that endure forever.

I have "stuff" going on all around me,it never ceases to subside....constantly under attack......lol-I am so humbly grateful that my Loving and Gracious Father trusts in me that I will hold on to His Word,"My Grace is sufficient",He has priviledged me with, like Paul,a thorn in my side to remind me daily that every good thing in me is from Him....all the rest, the"stuff",is temporal and one day will fade away but by the ultimate sacrifice of my Jesus....I will go on to eternity and will receive my reward.......PRAISE JESUS

Circumstances are sometimes not in Gods will to change but to change us,trusting in Him is the best way to say"thank you,Father"and to bear our fruits so others can see the image of our Savior,Christ Jesus.

                                                                                               God bless you,Kwik

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
