What I see is people accepting the gift they are given by the Holy Spirit. What are we supposed to do, pout like a baby because we didn't get the better gifts? That is a childish way to be. We should be grateful with what we are given, and in all humility, use it for His good.

Sorry, you seem to be unaware of the facts. Pentecostal people keep bombarding with ideas like speaking in unknown tongue is a way to salvation and brainwash people to get it by begging and wrangling! Please tell me why would God bless people with lower-end gifts? Our loving God blesses more and better than what we ask him even when we don't deserve that!. Pentacostal people help someone to pick up their traits by surrounding them with their abilities added by blaring music!

Paul claimed to have something that Jesus did not have, that is, speaking in unknown tongue!

I think I am reasonable to ask you to provide Scripture where Jesus spoke in unknown tongue that required interpretaton.

Like I said, I am waiting for you to answer my question instead of dodging it. If you don't want to answer it, tell me so I can stop asking.

Excuse me, what is your question? I will answer if I can.

There are more then one differentiation for fear. The fear we have for the Lord is a reverence to Him, which is a lot different then being afraid. This is seen very easily in 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Right, love brings-in sound mind. Paul admits that prayer in unknown tongue makes his mind fruitless! That is something one should avoid, don't you think? That is why Paul prefers the best, that is, the fruit of the Spirit, love, over all gifts.

The message and the interpretation both come from God. Tell me, when someone gives a word of wisdom, or a word of knowledge, or a prophesy, are you afraid that they may be just trying to tickle the ears of the listener as well?

I am  afraid not! Show me the Scripture that clearly says that interpretation comes from God! Please remember gift is different from direct utterances of the Holy Spirit.

Who moves the spirit of the believer? Who gives witness to the spirit of the believer? Everything of God comes from God, including the gifts and the activation of them. What is not of God, He will bear that as a witness to our spirit. Instead of being afraid of what you don't know, trust on the Lord with all your heart and stop leaning on your own understanding. If you acknowledge Him is all you do, He will direct your path.

Satan can also move the spirit of an immature and weak believer. In fact, he will be always waiting for the slightest opportunity to take over! He can also imitate gifts and signs. Our spiritual journey should be upwards looking for things up above(Colossians 3:1-3)

Please, I my first 20 years of being a Cristian was in the Pentecostal Church, and I can tell you that not all church are the same. There are some who do believe you must speak in tongues if you are baptized with the Holy Sprint. They are those who handle snakes too, along with howling like dogs, roiling on the floor, and the like. Those are not the churches I go to. There are also churches that believe one must be baptized or they are not saved that are not Pentecostal, but are just as wrong. There are many churches that follow un-scriptural church doctrines in any denomination.

You keep dissing the lower gifts the Holy Spirit gives. I have told you every single time you have asked or made this statement that all gifts are from God and He gives as He wills, not man. If you don't want to accept that, then your problem is with God, not those who accept what God gives them. Are you going to tell God that if you don't give me the best gifts, you can just keep them, that you don't want them?

Paul claimed to have something that Jesus did not have, that is, speaking in unknown tongue!

Yes, it is unreasonable and a game you are playing. Jesus is God and He can do what ever He wishes, and speaking in tongues is not beyond His ability, or do you think Jesus is not God and Paul is greater then Jesus?

Like I said, I am waiting for you to answer my question instead of dodging it. If you don't want to answer it, tell me so I can stop asking.

It really is that simple.

Knowingtruth,

I am about finished going in circles with you. Let me ask you this one question. Who in the below passage gives the gifts and works them?

1 Corinthians 12:1-11

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
