If that is true, why is it mentioned in Revelation people will be given robes to wear?

Revaluation is a book filled with figurative speech. it tells us a sword will come out of Jesus' mouth...do you think it will be a real sword?

Revelation 7:9

New International Version (NIV)

The Great Multitude in White Robes

9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

The Lamb is not literal. We understand that the Lamb is Jesus Christ who was sacrificed for our sins, the palm branches represent worship, the white robes represent being clothed in righteousness. I think the number of people who believe that Jesus Christ reincarnates as a literal sheep are very few indeed! Why would we think the white robes are literal?

Do the two of you believe that Jesus is sitting on the Throne in the buff?

I believe Jesus sitting on the Throne is a figure of speech not a literal thing....seems He would have gotten tied of sitting after 2000 years.

You didn't answer my question...do you think an actual sword will come out of Jesus' mouth?

Oh how some stretch at the tie that binds.... or are not tied at all-

Gen 3:10

10 So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself."

NKJV

Gen 3:21

21 Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.

NKJV

To cast off the clothes is to cast off the provision of God for acceptance... if you can be naked before God

and others and not be ashamed then I suggest perhaps it is not the same God that was before Adam and Eve

or the same heart which was not thoroughly soaked in sin- What God has done let no man undue! Love, Steven

God made them naked, they stayed naked for their entire time in the garden, which was spent with God.

Clearly God did not have an issue with their nudity.

It wasn't an issue because they didn't know about naked... tell me you can do that now!

The issue with nudity is man's issue, not Gods.

We will all stand naked before God...and none of us will care.

The issue with rebellion is not staying in the place where God keeps us... you clearly think you have authority to

go back before original sin and form spiritual realties... I believe that we are to remain where God has us and operate

in those realities according to His Word till he takes me to different place and realties!

Rom 12:2

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your

mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

NKJV

another way to see this is

1 John 1:7

7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another,

and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

NKJV

The light is His Word and to this we are to conform- not our willy nilly thoughts outside

of this reality-> in which we are held in by God...

This is the war:

Rom 7:21-25

21 I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. 22 For I

delight in the law of God according to the inward man. 23 But I see another law in my

members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law

of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from

this body of death? 25 I thank God — through Jesus Christ our Lord!

NKJV

So right now I am tied to this body of death and my job is to bring it into conformity to

God's Word to bring Him Glory... keeping it covered with reverence to the way He showed

me long ago in submission to Him till God removes me from this flesh....

Love, Steven

Wow, some people just can't accept not everyone thinks like they do, why the attacks?

The problem with nudity is man's problem not God's.

The problem with nudity is a result of our sin and no one can reverse the effect that is

upon our flesh the one of shame...

Seems wrong to blame God for our failings...but to each their own

The problem I had when I first came here was reading into things written by others as personal assaults...

When I address and comment it is to reveal what God is urging me within to write (ACCORDING) to His

Word that I have studied and with much effort rightly divided...

Now I take nothing personal but look to edify and be edified in order to get closer to God and further from

the old self and all of it's tackiness.  If you write

God made them naked, they stayed naked for their entire time in the garden, which was spent with God.

Clearly God did not have an issue with their nudity.

The issue with nudity is man's issue, not Gods.

We will all stand naked before God...and none of us will care.

We will be in the reality God places us in and as Nebula pointed out in God's Word

Rev 7:9-12

9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number,

of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb,

clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice,

saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!" 11 All the angels

stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before

the throne and worshiped God,

NKJV

Rev 1:13-14

13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with

a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.

NKJV

2 Cor 5:2-4

2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from

heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.

NKJV

Zech 3:3-5

3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.

4 Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, "Take away the

filthy garments from him." And to him He said, "See, I have removed your iniquity from you,

and I will clothe you with rich robes." 5 And I said, "Let them put a clean turban on his head."

NKJV

So as you can see you are in error according to God's word... and no they can be no other opinion

but what God Says... as God's Word 'IS' the final authority

Jer 23:28-29

28 "The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream;

And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully.

What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the Lord.

29 "Is not My word like a fire?" says the Lord,

"And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

NKJV

Love, Steven

It is very easy to claim what your saying comes.directly from God...lots of people make that claim.

It is also an easy way to avoid responsibility for your own words.

I hate to break this to you, but you do not speak for God and I am offended by your claim to do so. you are just a human like the rest of us

I too believe that the Throne is symbolic of rulership.  He is not sitting on a literal big fancy chair, just as there is not a literal Lamb, the palm branches are not literal, and the white robes are symbolic of righteousness.  This passage has no bearing on the question of nudity.

Show me where God's Word is spoken of here? Or a correction to what is thought God's Word says....

I am not interested in what you think of me or what you think of others but only of God's Word being

lifted up as the Truth that It holds alone and not as something man has generated in his own undisciplined

thoughts... You have made a statement we are going to be naked before God! I have shown you God's

Word does not support your view... let's get back to that- in fact of thus Sayeth the Lord

Let's get back to the Word and not other trivial things of no importance... Love, Steven

Well then it seems we agree with each other.

Yes, it "seems" as if we do, but we don't.

The passages you provide speak in figurative terms, not literal.

Your understanding of these passages is flawed.

just as Jesus is not literally a lamb, the mention of robes and the like is not literal.

They have the same desires, just different triggers.

We view nudity tied to lust because that is the way we were raised in our society.

Studies of these tribes after we "civilized" them show an increase in rape and harassment tied to lust.

The addition of clothing to these people change them, and not always for the better

We don't know that, but assume this to be true. Tribal law is a whole lot different than our law. It showed no mercy to the offender, causing one to be far less willing to take the chance.

I have different triggers than you do, and you have different triggers than the next person in line. It makes absolutely not difference what the triggers are just that they are there.

It was not the clothing that changed them, it was the whole influence of the civilized world. What do you think they thought of when they saw the first airplane?

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
