Sometimes I am asking God questions that I would like to know the answers.

If I open the Bible some of the questions I have asked God were answered in the Bible.

Others questions the answer was either hard to find or just not in there.

This kind of confuses me. Many Christians say if you want to know the truth or God just open the

Bible and you will know.

Why would it be that he does not give us all and every answer right now?

Why do some answers have to wait before they can be answered?

I think that God is more interested in making us into the likeness of him than what we want , sometime's we think were ready for something that were actually not  and in those time's that we don't understand i think he knows that there is something on the inside of us that need's to be dealt with , weather it is learning patience or sin in our live's that he would want removed , for example ... anger , bitterness , un forgiveness,  not getting the answer's we want draw's us to a closer relationship with him , he wants us to increase in our faith and rely on him , and i think our motive's for what we want have to be right too, his answer will will be , yes , no and not ,right now , I think the answers we don't get is the best time to gain spiritual growth in him , his timing is the best timing  :mgcheerful:

Some things we need to know require digging for principles rather than finding a direct address to. For instance, the Bible does not directly address a Christian's role in a "democratic" country, how to drive without sinning, how to witness to an atheist, etc.

Why aren't they in the Bible? Such things were not in existence or an issue to address back then.

It depends on what you are asking God. There are some answers the bible does not give directly.

For instance if you are looking for a time of the return of Jesus, you won't find it. The bible will tell you how and what will happen (to a degree, there are many theories), but does not give us a date.

I believe I can understand what the starting poster is asking. She’s not asking to find all the answers in the Bible, but why is it that God has not told us everything into what we may consider some of the greatest unknown mysteries to us in this time. For example one might ask…. God how is it that you live forever? How do you have an eternity with no beginning? Lord we all had a beginning. You always were you always are and you always will be. Do the math and figure out how God has always existed with no beginning. Other questions like what does Heaven really look like? How will I actually feel in the after Life?  . The list of questions to God can go on and on as to what each person would want to ask God for answers.

The Bible as far as I have read can’t answer these kinds of questions. It leaves us to wonder and ponder trying to understand God the best we can. I think if we did have all the answers to all the questions we want to know there would be no reason to ask God for these answers. One would say Lord I do not need your understanding. All the answers are here in this book. We depend on God for guidance, truth, understanding, and discerning of things. It is God not us who knows all the truth and all the right answers. We have trust that the Word of God is true and God is telling us the truth. This is where skeptics fall into the picture.

Study the Bible in a context fashion and you will observe great time gaps in between one event from the next. Skeptics say God is not correct. Where are the connecting points? They are looking for physical evidence to prove whether God is right or wrong. Go from Matthew 2 then to Matthew 3. Between those 2 Chapters what exactly took place in Jesus’ life? Why did not God share of Jesus childhood memories? God makes emphasis however the purpose of Jesus being here and the work and of all fulfillments to be carried out. How is knowing about Jesus’ childhood to help us to understand the things God really wants us to know?  .

The Bible or the Word of God wants to tell us only those things that God wants us to know. But it does not have answers to perhaps everything we would want to know. Please let me use this example Jesus went upon the mount. The grass was green the tree was adorned with birds in the nest on a warm sunny day. The sky was blue with puffy clouds. It was perhaps a perfect spring day.

While these words should bring us comfort it would help us to understand Jesus surroundings those are all words God did not want to add to tell us. God is not trying to be a Pulitzer Prize book novelist. Book writers love to add such detailed information in the story. Although however the Bible is still yet the most popular read and the most sold Book in all History. It has transformed the lives of millions and millions of people upon centuries of generations.

If you want directions to get from Florida to Michigan you don’t want a whole book describing everything that is along the way. You want only one or 2 pages for clear written directions with perhaps some marking points to identify.

That’s how God leads us like the stars helps shipman navigate the seas with no radars. And that is what helped the wise men find Jesus in Bethlehem. To wherever we are at God wants us to rely oh the instructions we know now. Paul says we look into a mirror with a poor image. But we on that day will understand to see these things clearly. So it will be one day for all the answers we wanted to know. That day will arrive being in the presence of God who will reveal the great mysteries all about life eternity and God’s full purpose.

Scripture tells us that it is the Holy Spirit who leads and guides us into all truth
John 16:13  Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Scripture also says that we will not see all things with clarity in this life, nor will we be able to understand all things, but we will see and understand the things that The Lord would have us to know that pertains to living a gody life walking in the way He has set out for us.

1 Cor 13:12  12     For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Hope this helps :mgcheerful:

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
