Lets make this simple.

Conservator has been told in front of his wife, by his wife's friend, that she is sleeping with men on the first date. She has been raised a Christian and has accepted Jesus as her savior.

She has slipped a bit and is in sin. We have all been there in different ways. Sin I mean. She is no different to you and I to a degree. Do you gossip (come on not even just a little bit?), tell the occasional lie? Have the occasional bad though about someone? (come on, not even once?). Type the occasional testy post to someone on an internet site? (Want to see some?).

All she needs is Love and Ministry and prayer, and perhaps some other help that only fellowship can bring.

Her admission is a cry, not a boast.

She needs Love, and Grace, and prayer.

Don't we all, sinners that we are?

Could not have said it better.

Being preachers/ministers kids we are "expected" to be more "perfect" than your average everyday churchgoer...and we know this from early childhood.  It wears on us bigtime.  Tongues wag as soon as a preachers kid does anything that might be considered a sin, because *we* of all people, should know better.  LOL!  Sorry but this post just hit me the wrong way because I know what standards I am supposed to be keeping as a preachers kid and there is no way i could ever live up to everyone elses ideas of who I should be simply because of my status.

And the devil has a special appetite for destroying the families of those who minister.

Just defending someone I understand is all :)

That has to put alot of pressure on you. A pastor and his family are only human....right?Yes,I can see your point about the devil not be an advocate for those who are Ministers.

Only GOD knows if she is saved or not. Salvation is not a license to sin. Being saved and continuing to sin without repentance and confession keeps one out of fellowship with their heavenly Father, but it does not cost us our salvation. Maybe she has just put GOD "on the shelf" as the saying goes. GOD will either reel her back in eventually or will say "I never knew you." That's the chance she seems willing to take. I know I did for many years - it seems so long ago. But GOD never abandoned me.

God did not have a problem with destroying the people of  Sodom and Gomorrah for all of its prideful, lust, refusing to help the poor,  and sexual sins.  Something to think about.

Our world is on that level now or maybe worse. :(

I agree and immorality is a sin which scripture tells us is to be judged by the church and dealt with, not glossed over. It is a serious matter to be living in sexual immorality, and this lady needs to know just how serious it is.

1 Cor 5:5-12

It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named[a] among the Gentiles—that a man has his father’s wife! And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you. For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.[b]

Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.[c] Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. 10 Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. 11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.

12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? 13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.”[d]

Show her the verses in the epistles where paul states this is not a license to sin.

Found this in Romans 6:1-4: "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life."

Is this what you mean?

Yet he saved Lot and his family........less than 10 righteous ones. They obviously believed GOD and His promised Redeemer to come.

It isnt up to you or your wife to convict her, it is up to God, since she claims to be his child.

That is why it is not up to us to judge...and by even thinking that maybe she isn't saved because she has divorces and slept with other men...well, that is jusdging her salvation...which is even worse than judging an action

It is however up to believers to admonish and remind her of how she should be living if she is a Christian. Not harass her, but to let her know she is in the wrong and what God expects.

As for judging, 1 corinthians 5 says we are to judge within the church. She is in continual sin.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
