Just look around on the websites they are loaded with porn.I can go to a very simple website searching for something very simple and innocent.Their is porn everywhere.Satan loves it .It is temptation. To me it is obnoxious.Porn is alot easier to come by and cheaper than cocaine. But just as damaging.

Your claim that the entire internet is loaded with porn is incorrect.  There may be some validity to the article, which apparently the op wanted to discuss.

If you are seeing porn pop up all over on your computer, then you should adjust your browser settings...purge your cache...and be careful what you open up

There is absolutely no need to be burdened with viewing objectionable material online.

As I already stated, I can look around on the internet all day and not see one thing that could be classified as porn...by you or anyone else.

I think that the op may have wanted to discuss a comparison to addictive behavior as per the article and not how women dress or what appears on one's computer

There have been numerous threads in which attire has been discussed and what one considers porn, disgusting and or tempting.  That is not what the op is about

A new British study finds that addiction to pornography leads to similar brain activity patterns found in alcohol and drug addicts.

Researchers from Cambridge University found that MRI scans of 19 addictive pornography users showed that the reward centers of the brain reacted to explicit images in a similar way that an alcoholic might respond to liquor or beer advertisements.

"We found greater activity in an area of the brain called the ventral striatum, which is a reward center, involved in processing reward, motivation and pleasure," lead scientist Dr. Valerie Voon told the Sunday Times in the UK.

"When an alcoholic sees an ad for a drink, their brain will light up in a certain way and they will be stimulated in a certain way. We are seeing this same kind of activity in users of pornography."

The study is yet to be published, but UK viewers can see it featured in a Channel 4 documentary titled "Porn on the Brain," airing September 30.

Preliminary findings in a separate study from the University of Sydney find that porn addiction is on the rise, due to the ease of access via the internet and other new technologies, researchers say.

This, is the study.   Apparently it was done at Cambridge University and the article linked to in the op is a blog post.  This study has been picked up by newspapers, reporters and the like and is all over the

internet because it is relatively new and conclusions are not actually concrete, so, to state that it is a proven fact is not actually so.

Addictions are not simple to begin with and not all personalities are susceptible.

and some people seem to love to talk about porn, bad girls and how awful others dress

it's a good thing we have threads like this because of course, none of us know any of this

yes I am being sarcastic...I don't know how many threads on what others think of how some women dress, how bad those women are, how nasty they are, how terrible we have to

see them, how much satan uses them, how we should all dress like momons and wear magic underwear or dress like Amish and ride to work on horses (oh wait we couldn't go to work

out of the community) or how awful that men are tempted by these she devils in a red dress

so glad we have a new platform to do all that again because it has been so engaging, delightful and encouraging

Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend,

But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

2 Timothy 2:24-25 And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, 25 in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth,

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Galatians 5: 22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

HuH?  I don't get how the above scriptures apply to sevenseas comments?  I see sevenseas comments as a reproof or rebuke as in

Reprove not a scoffer, lest he hate you: rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.

Proverbs 9:8  KJV

The article is interesting, and it may be 100 percent right?  I do believe pornogaphy is addictive, but I would have liked the specifics about the neurological studies, and how they were done?  How did they determine their were changes in the brain?

Why would porn be literally addictive? I don't get it. We are entirely too quick to label things as addictions. Yes, if you do x and it's pleasurable, you are more inclined to do thing x again. Is that all that we mean? Because that learned behavior applies to just about anything.

The article claims changes to the brain as a result of porn.  That is why I would have liked more information about the study and how it was conducted?

Any repetitive activity will change the brain, that seems trivial to me.

If there are actual changes in the brain, then the article has merit.  The changes in the brain create an addiction.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
