Stop concentrating on you feelings and concentrate on Jesus.  Feelings are unimportant when it comes to our relationship with God.  Our feelings go up and down depending on many factors:  what we eat, what we've encountered, what we're doing, our health and more.  But this does not change our relationship with God UNLESS we allow it to.  Is that what you want?

Remember your salvation is a FACT.

Don't confuse it with romantic love.

My connection with God is in the way He speaks to me and my obedience to him.

There is no romantic feeling about it.

Don't fret over the fact that you don't feel anything.

His effect on us is different with each person.

OK Beloved

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. Mark 12:29-30

No Fretting

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. Psalms 42:1

Here

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Matthew 22:35-40

See?

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. Psalms 73:25-26

Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING

The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:

The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:

The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them. Numbers 6:24-27

I really don't want to feel "religiously" anything.  I just want to feel close to Jesus.  Religion does nothing for anyone.

I recently we through this. (this last weekend)  I first had to make sure I wasn't letting my feelings rule me. Then I did a lot of praying and took a mental vacation. In a couple of days I was back in the saddle. :) He is a faithful God. He'll bring ya back around. :)

In the past year or so, I've been catching myself in and out of my relationship with God. I know he's my savior and the true God, but every time I go to a service or just have one on one worship with him, I can never get that "flame" of passion for him. I get so distracted during worship and I can never stay focused on God. I have no idea why, but I feel no connection with him. Every Sunday and Wednesday when I would worship him, I would fall on my knees crying, but now I'm lucky if I can even raise my hands.. Do any of you get like this?

So many great suggestions and encouragements! I just would like to add to them, if i may. One thing that i do when i am struggling is to get alone and renew my mind with the Word (like in Romans 12:2), i take communion, and i listen to the Word on mp3. Sometimes i seem to not be able to sit still to read, but if i can hear the Word preached, then i am in good shape.

May the Lord richly bless you with peace and joy!

sometimes the walk of life pulls us down and that feeling can go, or be drained away. Sometimes we just need to pray for his anointing to fill us again. Often I think of this song as that time and sing it.

Come Holy Spirit
Fall afresh on me
Fill me with your power
Satisfy my need

Only you can make me whole
Give me strength to make me grow
Come Holy Spirit
Fall afresh on me

Pour it out Lord
Pour it out Lord
Pour it out
Your Spirit on me

I get like that too but I know now its when I don't take my bi polar medication I get depressed and satan tries to swoop in and destroy me. I just pray till the depression goes away and trhen one day I wake up and it has cleared. I can hear those birds chirping and I have that terrific smile on my face and my heart is melodic , its a scrumpcious feeling of the lords love and joy that has enterd.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • George Whitten, the visionary behind Worthy Ministries and Worthy News, explores the timing of the Simchat Torah War in Israel. Is this a water-breaking moment? Does the timing of the conflict on October 7 with Hamas signify something more significant on the horizon?

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Daniel: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 3

      Shalom everyone,

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
